Lmao I peeped that out tbh. I was like is no one else noticing this?! I know she would be able to do it live it she wanted to. I feel like she's very self conscious but she doesn't need to be.
Yeah sometimes I don't understand her no matter how much I love her. But I still always give her the benefit of the doubt because she's such an immense talent. I'm just happy she did the whistle notes to Don't forget about us, Someday, and Love Takes time live yesterday!!
If someone comments "Wow she was flat" and you reply with "She has 18 #1 hits" or "She's a legend"..... SHE IS STILL FLAT IN THIS PERFORMANCE. Yall always think people are trying to take away from her career. We are all hear obviously cuz we are fans. And we all know she amazing. But a bad performance is just that.......a bad PERFORMANCE. Nothing more, nothing less.
Mariah Carey is a trained singer and there are certain things that she knows how to do with her voice - and she obviously has her whistle register...but the actual quality of her voice has deteriorated a lot. Her voice sounds strained and forced. Her voice used to have a smooth, buttery tone and flowed effortlessly. I don't think it's age because she is NOT old. I think it is either nodules, drinking or some other medical or lifestyle issue. If it is nodules, she probably does not want to have surgery because of the risks involved. Julie Andrews had vocal surgery and lost her ability to sing. Mariah can still carry a tune (although it sounds kind of hoarse) and she can still hit high notes and rely on back-up singers to pick up the slack. She probably feels it's safer to work with what she's got than to risk not being able to sing at all.
"See I prayed through the ni-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-ights" lmaoooo what the hell happened to the queen of melisma? One thing is that her voice has deteriorated greatly, but on top of that she seems to have forgotten what vocal technique is. What a mess.
SHE SLAYYYYYYYYYYED. Mariah's out of this world. She improves so much night after night
noone is talking about that freaking awesome run in her lower register at 2:59-3:02
1.THE QUEEN! 18 SINGLE #1 MORE THAN MJ & ELVIS!
2.SHUT UP THE HATERS
3.SHE STILL THE VOICE!
4. #LambilyFOR LIFE!!!
This performance is giving me rainbow tour tease.
She needs to slow the arrangement down like TGIFY so she can maneuver better vocally. But she's getting better every night so we'll see.

OMG yes! I hate when people bring up her past to excuse a shaky performance. She's still great, but this performance was trash.
I want the whistle at the end!
I love how everyone is a professional singer in the comments section LMAOO. Where are your #1s?
yasssss

She likes doing that and she even did it in a 2005 performance of this song and sounded great...
That was just plain bad. :/
She sounds so flat and dry. She avoided all the high notes and things that made the song what it's known to be. Not a good performance.
