ภัทร หนุ่มทะเล้น กากเกรียน และ ปราณ หนุ่มเนี้ยบ มาดคุณชาย ผู้ที่ถูกฟ้าลิขิตให้เป็นศัตรูกันตั้งแต่ยังไม่เห็นหน้า เพราะพ่อแม่เปิดร้านอุปกรณ์ก่อสร้างอยู่ข้างกัน แข่งกันตัดราคา แย่งลูกน้อง เกลียดกันชนิดไม่เผาผี ทำให้ทั้งคู่ถูกวางตัวเป็นคู่แข่งกันตั้งแต่เกิด ไม่ว่าใครคลานได้ก่อน เดินได้ก่อน เรียกพ่อแม่ได้ก่อน ทุกอย่างล้วนถูกเอามาเปรียบเทียบเกทับกัน
แต่วันหนึ่งตอนที่ทั้งคู่อายุ 12 ปี กำแพงความเกลียดชังของทั้งคู่ก็เริ่มมีรอยร้าว เมื่อ ภา น้องสาวของภัทรขี่จักรยานพลัดตกน้ำในคลองหมู่บ้าน ระหว่างที่ภัทรยังทำอะไรไม่ถูก เป็นปราณที่กระโจนลงน้ำไปช่วยภาขึ้นมา เหตุการณ์นั้นก็ทำให้ความสัมพันธ์ของคนทั้งคู่เปลี่ยนไป แม้ภายนอกจะดูเป็นคู่แข่งกันเหมือนเดิม แต่ลึกๆ ข้างในก็ไม่เกลียดชังกันเท่าเดิม
จน ม.3 อาจารย์ให้ทั้งคู่ฟอร์มวงดนตรีด้วยกัน ทำให้ทั้งคู่ต้องใกล้ชิดกันมากขึ้น
4 ปีต่อมา โชคชะตาก็เล่นตลกเมื่อส่งให้ ภัทร เข้าเรียนปี1 เป็นประธานรุ่นฝั่งวิศวะ ขณะที่ ปราณ เป็นประธานรุ่นคณะสถาปัตย์ โดยที่ทั้ง 2 คณะเป็นคู่แค้นกันมานาน ทำให้ภัทรและปราณต้องกลับมาตีกันอีกครั้ง เมื่อภารู้เรื่อง ก็วีนแตก ยื่นคำขาดห้ามภัทรทำร้ายปราณเด็ดขาด เพราะบุญคุณที่เคยช่วยไว้ ทำให้ภัทรไปขอทำข้อตกลงกับปราณว่าจะแอบแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล เพื่อหาทางหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ให้ทั้ง 2 คณะทะเลาะกัน ปราณเองก็ไม่ชอบมีเรื่องเลยยอมตกลง
ทำให้ทั้งคู่เริ่ม “ความสัมพันธ์แบบลับๆ” ที่จะเป็นเพื่อนก็ไม่ใช่ ศัตรูก็ไม่เชิง แต่บันเทิงใจคนดู
สุดท้ายแล้วมิตรภาพบนความขัดแย้งของภัทรและปราณจะไปสิ้นสุดที่ตรงไหน ความลับจะแตกลงเมื่อไหร่ พ่อแม่จะยอมรับหรือไม่ หรือสุดท้ายจะมีวันที่ความขัดแย้งคลี่คลายหรือไม่

Pat's bravery to go to Pran's house pretending to give him documents but actually wanting to talk to him is just pure😭😭

Oooh THAT PART. It is also really indicative to who Pat is as a character. Now that Pat has come to realize his feelings for Pran, he is all systems go. It foreshadows his willingness to walk into enemy territory for the sake of Pran....and now that I think on it...Pat does that a lot in this series.

exactly. when he hadn't realized his feelings, some were annoyed with him for not realizing that Pran had feelings for him even though Pran never actually showed it. Now he has come to the realization and willing to pursue a relationship even though Pran is still pushing him away.
I like the fact that "I am not gay" "I only like him not other men" "I am a man and have always dated girls all my life" "The world will not accept us" These things never came up in this series. The main leads don't think they are weird to have feelings over the same gender. The only problem is the rivalry between the two families...if they were good from the start, our guys would have started dated right from high school.

Pat's father literally steps in while Pat is trying to speak to Pran about it and proves the point of why Pran is trying to stop it before it goes farther. I also feel like Pran has suffered in his unrequited love for longer and has had far more time to overthink all the reasons they shouldnt, whereas Pat is super impulsive and ready to throw his whole heart into this.
"We know how it's going to end, isn't it better not to start at all." *sobs because pran isn't just talking about his mom, he's talking about his relationship with Pat*
Pran seems to be traumatized...nd his mother's behavior certainly doesn't help...

I understand Pran’s feelings and actions. Think about how he was raised and his horribly controlling parents. It is realistic and he has learned to keep to himself and not take risks, especially when it comes to a relationship with someone he is supposed to hate.
His actions are actually quite reasonable. He is sure that he cannot be with Pat, so he tries to push him away, to spare himself more heartbreak.

What happened to communication? 🙃 This part always gets me whenever I watch, I usually never am annoyed with pran's character, but whenever I get to this episode, I can't help but get annoyed with the way he's treating pat. They're both in it together, he can talk to him instead of making things more complicated.
@@jiniret205 Pran believes that Pat likes Ink, right? This is what Pat told him. So from Pran's perspective, Pat's actions are rather wrong - seems like Pat likes one person and pursues another. There is also the family feud and university departments' feud in the background. Pran's communication skills are sh*t - no denying that. 😝
@paunitka7 Not true actually. Yes pat said that but later on his actions obviously proved otherwise when he told him he doesn't want to be friends while literally crying. I think unless someone is feigning stupidity then they would understand. I watched this 4 times 😂 The idea is that pran's worst nightmare is to lose pat actually because of their families so he doesn't want to start anything so he thinks by acting cold and distant pat will leave it. It has nothing to do with ink anymore, as a matter of a fact ink isn't relevant to their relationship at all after the kiss scene. What pran is thinking is true, their families are a nightmare, his mom's scene with pat proves it, but yeah again, dude, say words, idk form a sentence, acting like he's invisible and treating him like shit is definitely not cool imo.

People or specifically BL fans, let's not get mad or annoyed at Pran for constantly avoiding Pat right now. Just imagine yourself in the shoes of Pran, he likes Pat for a long time and he was confused and hurt dealing with his one sided love for so long, then suddenly he found out that Pat also likes him. It's too much for a closeted guy like Pran. I bet he was overwhelmed about everything that happened in the rooftop and he was still processing what it all means and how will he deal with it. People like Pran tends to overthink things so he is probably imagining in his head the worst that could happen if he will follow his heart. Damn, Bad Buddy Series is really not for the faint of heart.

bad buddy is hands down the best bl series gmmtv have ever created. bad buddy is the standard, ohmnon is the standard. patpran is the standard. im literally giggling and crying at the same time. the storyline, the chemistry, the acting, this is the standard 👏👏

i genuinely love pat's personality sm, ik its been overstated but his personality is one that is really likeable. but i honestly love pran's realistic personality too. pran is doing what most of us would probably do since many are introverts especially with love. pran bottles up his feelings and doesn't leave any room for hope in himself. that is very unlikeable but its the safest thing to do, pran is scared of the big leap of faith especially for relationships. he is only doing what he knows and he is normal and comfortable with since he's been doing it for so long, he won't say anything until he either finds a comfortable opening to do it or he genuinely decides to doing something he wouldn't usually do for his love.
both pat's personality and pran's personality have good attributes and bad ones.
pat, being the extrovert, is more likeable, more straight forward, is mentally stronger, and can do what he likes faster (if that makes sense). but, his way is more riskier for things like heartbreaks and he could make the one he loves uncomfortable/annoyed without even knowing it, leading to the person hating him.
pran, being the introvert, is handling relationships at a safe distance. his way is way less riskier, he's less likely to face heartbreak and the like. and he can be happy with the littlest things the person he loves does. but, pran has a less chance of being able to get with the person he loves, his introvert side is very unlikeable, and he isn't mentally strong or brave. i honestly love how the director showed these two personality traits, legit makes me cry.
Someone mentioned in the comments that Pat has a dog personality and I agree 100%, Pat is such a likeable wholesome character it makes me forget about all the worldly tensions. Pran, on the other hand, my heart breaks for the sweet pretty boy. can i just hug them both? I'll hug Pran a little longer and tell him that everything's gonna be okay and that it'll all be better, and that he doesn't need to be afraid, and that I'm so proud of him. I'll tell the same things to Pat but a little more boisterously, You are doing so good, you are so strong to go after what you want, I really really admire your determination to make everything okay and that your hopeful expressions and actions restores my faith in the world. Aww, my heart.
I just wanna talk about how well Pat and Prans reactions were portrayed according to their personalities especially with Pat's reaction as an extrovert, I can relate a lot, he went immediately to Prans door after the kiss to talk it out with him. He didn't wait or linger to think about what will happen next because he knows what happens next is gonna be up to Pran as well ,but Prans reaction , the shock understandably so because he never thought he and Pat would ever be a thing especially with the emotional rollercoaster he's been on seeing him with Ink ,let alone kissing him. It makes sense, but the keeping everything to himself and ignoring Pat instead of talking to him fits so well with his introverted personality it showed such a sad but true dynamic between the two conflicting personalities, Pat going in head first to make sure he understands Pran and Pran pulling back because he was in shock.
I just am amazed at how well they pulled it off especially like looking at Ohm portray Pat and seeing his confusion and his frustration like you can see it on his face he needs to talk to Pran by any means necessary even going to his freaking door and on the trip with them because he needs confirmation from Pran be it by him saying he was happy with the kiss or wasn't happy at all he still needs to hear it from him straight so he can be at ease and figure out where to go next with it. Amazing. 👏

Ohm displayed Pat's pain so well. He is so confused and I can feel how Pran distancing himself from him is hurting.
I don't blame Pran though. He liked Pat even before Pat realizes he liked Pran too. And Pran saw that Pat liked Ink. He even saw them on a date. That would hurt him. So Pat kissing him would be confusing.
I like Pat's confidence he was willing to go to pran's house even if he knew he wasn't welcomed there. I understand pran avoiding pat I mean he doesn't want to get his hope's up when he knew their families will never approve of it better to end it before it even starts 😭

I didn't understand Pran's action in the beginning but after rewatching the series, these are my thoughts: 1. Pran had a crush on Pat, but never believed they would be together. This is why he tried to push Pat away even before the kiss. 2. After their kiss, Pran is unable to confess his love and concern to Pat because their life long rival relationship made them hard to have a heart to heart conversation even as friends. On top of that, Pran gave pat a deep kiss without fully confirming Pat's feeling for him. This hurts his pride (because their rival relationship). Pat has been pushing hard to get an explanation for that kiss, and Pran tries to avoid that conversation. 3. While in the camp, Pat has slowly melt Pran's heart. Pran realized that he cannot avoid Pat (and also his feelings for Pat) for ever. Therefore in the end he agrees to talk to Pat. 4. Because Pran was not sure about Pat's feeling, he was holding himself back at the start of the conversation. But once Pat confirmed he doesn't like ink, Pran starts to act confidently.
(I loved this series so much that some nights I couldn't sleep because I was trying to understand the motivations behind their action.😂 )

Pran saying he hopes this will stop the conflicts between 2 faculties is him indirectly indicating and wishing for all the conflicts between him and pat to go away but he knows it won't.
The conflicts aren't limited to this group but his family and also friends.

This is the best series ever.
Being best friends in real life can be problematic in terms of doing a BL Series together as the main couple - awkwardness - it can change the friendship if you can't really separate the 2 aspects. In Nanon and Ohm's case, however, I think their real life relationship actually HELPS them in this series. They are soooo comfortable with each other, that I think they find it easy to make the emotional shifts required and then reverting to the normal ones in real life. And the great thing about that, is that it makes the things happening between them in the series seem BELIEVABLE and AUTHENTIC to us, the viewers. That makes this series the best BL Series of 2021 hands down.
Yesss..I think that also it's because both of them are very professional & talented actors! They know the "switch button" between irl and actings. I'm glad P'Aof and the casting team chose them. It raised the bar for future BLs and chemistry for any dramas in the future too!u

I saw an interview of Ohm on tiktok and he said while crying that he actually loved Nanon like he used to argue with him but they didn't hate each other and he talked with a senior who said that he, Ohm, loved Nanon, and that's why they behaved like that so he said he had a hard time realizing his feelings and accepting that because Nanon was a man (which can be friendship as well as anything not romantically especially) and Nanon was just supportive and caressing his knee/thigh in such a tender manner I swear they had and have something special that's why this series feels right

One thing for sure is, I know OhmNanon have a very deep, 'affectionate', sweet, understanding and healthy relationship for each other.
Idk if it involved romantic feelings or not, but I believe they are each others soulmates as I saw too, a snippet of Nanon saying he had a hard time setting apart his character as Pran and he didn't worry at all as he felt all comfortable w.Ohm being his partner and Ohm himself said in a radio interview that he just realized he truly 'loves' Nanon.
Well, whether they're together for real or not it doesn't matter for me..I do love their interactions & relationship dynamics on screen and off screen. I think we all can agree that it's rare to see main couples that have such so much trust, understanding and warm relationship like they do..🥺🥺

Nanon’s acting skill always amazes me. At the beginning of the ep, he looks so lost and confused and you can actually visualize a mess that is in his head through his facial expression.
I’ve watched this series quite a few times and I feel that at 1:36, let’s us know that Pran feels as if he let his secret slip of liking Pat when he kissed him back, which was why he might’ve been avoiding him.
This series give me a lesson that never put the burden of your hate or any feelings on your children

My parents hated plenty of my friends’ parents - a couple of them since high school - but none of our parents, no matter how deep the feud, took it out on any of us kids like this. And now I know her reason it makes her blatant rudeness to Pat, while having the NERVE to scold Pat about manners, it just the damnedest thing. Pran’s mom has plenty of reason to dislike Pat’s dad, but once you know her reason the fact she’s this hostile to CHILDREN and made her son change schools… she needed therapy before she brought kids in the world to use as a cudgel in her grudges.
