A tip for gift wrapping. If your a beginner you might get items confused when you’re giving wrapped items. I like to do colored coordinates. Most peppys like pink, green, white, and orange. So you can color coordinate personalities. Sisterlys like aqua and yellow (most of the time). You can do more research on what type of villagers would go together. Only problem with that is they always display them and possibly replace something in their house, so if you like their house the way it is, I’d suggest not doing it. I have Coco a tarantula, a dragonfly, and a wasp in the beginning and she still has all three in her house 😅
The fruit is great to gift. But lately I’ve been gifting all my villagers assessed fossils since I’ve completed my museum. I’ve never had them put any of the fossils up in their houses
That's terrific! You're right, they don't put larger fossils in their houses. I do recommend fossils for anybody who collects them. I keep my fossils frozen so they don't spawn every day. Still, your right, they work great too!
@@annatheresa_ a total of six can spawn on your island, if you bury six individually planted fossils behind a cliff or home additional won’t respawn. A similar thing can be done with tree branches dropped on ground
2 non-native fruit work just as good as a fossil. Technically would be better in the long run specially if you need the bells from the fossils. Also only 4 "spawn" a day. You can bury 4 and 3 more will spawn the next day, or you can go to the mystery island for a 50% chance at a buried one, but only up to 4 can "spawn" on your island
This is why I didn't let my starter leave when she asked, I didn't have her photo. But I've had a lot of my villagers for a very long time, so I'll let them leave once I have their photo lol

There are keywords that trigger gift giving behaviors when you write to your villagers. This might be a hidden mechanic in the game to slightly boost the chance of gifting the photo, however I dont have concrete evidence
Nice video! Something I do that may be helpful is color-coding my presents for my villagers, so that way I have specific criteria for each one that I am trying to obtain their photo from ;)

Sending your villagers letters also increases their friendship! My boyfriend has apparently been sending out letters every day and got Judy's photo pretty much from letters alone 😂 (even though I've been gifting octavian for months now and he still has yet to give me his photo). Only downside is that sometimes villagers will show others letters you sent them which makes me feel pressured to at least write something nice and not jibberish hahaha
I like your idea of placing certain gifts infront of villager's houses so you don't forget which is which, but you could also do the colour of the wrapping paper, inless two or more villagers like the same colour.
I’ve been giving Ed iron wall lamps for about two months and he’s the only villager on my island who’s photo I don’t have. I thought it might’ve been because he had his photo in his house but he took it out about a week ago, does that mean he’ll give me it soon does it not make a difference?

It took me a much longer time to get Savannah's photo and that was with using the same steps as the rest of my villagers. Cherry's photo was really fast. I think some just take longer, but it will still happen.
@Hannah I used a trick (I don’t know how to call it ) you just wrap the gift and give it to the villager and if they give you something is not his photo, then close the game without saving and try again! If you have the highest friendship it would take you a max of 10 times to get his photo! I hope this helped you, I got three photos that way... Also I gave them wrapped fruit !!

This comes straight from data miners, the people who delved into the source code. There are two tiers of gifts required based on friendship level, although I do not remember the levels. The first tier is an item that sells to the Nooklings for minimum 250 bells. The second tier has a 750 bell minimum. That's it. So for the first tier gift them one wrapped coconut or even a pumpkin, or three native fruits. For the second tier gift them three wrapped coconuts, a couple of non-native fruit, etc. And you WILL get their pictures (one of my kids got three of their villagers' pics in the last two days).
I've been giving just one from a stack of fruit, and it's been slow going. Somehow it never occurred to me to give more than one and to wrap it. Thanks for the suggestion!

How to get a villager to leave. I ignore them, no gifts, "accidentally"hit then with a net, won't do tasks or,sell them anything they ask for... Can't get them to move. Any thoughts??
Unfortunately none of that matters. The villager chosen to leave is random and you just have to wait. Keep in mind that the last villager to come to your island will never ask to leave and you also won't see anybody ask on Saturday or during special holidays and events. The only way to speed up the process is to time travel.
For me the fastest way I've gotten villagers to leave is to repeatedly talk to them, over and over and over. I don't have any data to back this up, just my personal experience. With this method I've booted Kidd, Phoebe, Kody, Puddles, and Megan.

Seriously @Seth Van Orden go troll somewhere else!
You were playing on Raymond's Birthday but I kinda think you time travel because this video was made 9 months ago.
For sure. I time travel a bunch.
I’m gonna start giving my least favourite villager weeds now
Get them thinking ONCE.
OMG Apples are the only fruit I need, but cannot get.
How come?
@@limepie7181 Oranges are my native fruit, and so mom sent me a pear, and I found peaches on the islands. I was lucky and got cherries from a friend, but neither of us can find apples.
Would suggest ACNH exchange! The app let's you visit others islands that have things that they may no longer want/need and is also good for turnip trade
@@jessaquino4286 Omg thank you for telling me about this! The app is awesome! ^-^ New Horizons is actually my first animal crossing game, so I'm still learning lots about it.
when you already spend 1mil for poppy xd i got her pic tho ty but my money died now i only have 4mil
Me have al fruit come to my eiland
idk why you want to ruin the villager houses by giving them clothing- but okay
I don't go in my villagers houses very often. They only ever display one outfit, which I don't mind. But mostly because I LOVE seeing them in other outfits.
@@KatieTwinkle sad but ok, mine show off the "I'm sorry we fought" gifts on my island and it's a pain. They also tend to hide some of their furniture on me too **cough** RAYMOND... (he's an ass and switches out his documents and his computer on me and as someone who wants him OUT but to go to a good home like a kitten in a shelter, I'm /trying/ to make certain his house is as good as I can keep it)
