I agree they had a contract so she has to pay the 10% but the agent seems crap if he is valuing should at 500k when she sold them so much higher.
What I'm still wondering is why did she have to give him power of attorney? That's a lot of power to give someone and is not needed for an agent to rent out your property for you.

If I was the judge, she would have paid the 10 percent cos that is the agreement in the power of attorney, regardless of the normal standard of 5 percent. I think the judge is just too nice to a fault. And the arrogant lady is still claiming right.

When i bought a duplex for my sister, the agent gave me 10% the cost even when I didn't know that I was entitled to.Also the woman would have sent him back to her agent.Greedy, rich people.

@@rotimiogundeyin9393 no l won’t feel like that mrs Adiga Yinka forgot that she gave the agent autonomy to act on his behalf.
The question we should ask ourselves, she the one that find the buyer herself? The agent was kind to connect them you and l know that some agent will never connect
She want to outsmart the agent by giving her only fifty thousand instead of during the right thing.
I am sure if she has given the agent five percent he wouldn’t have brought the case to court expecting ten percent.
This world is nothing we brought nothing and we all go with nothing.

Even though i don't like these agents considering how much I have lost through them. In this case, the woman acted rude considering the fact that judge Funmi was fair to her by asking her to pay 5 percent. Saying she does not have 100k is just out of line. This will open many persons's eyes to start bringing these agents to court as well. As many of them are heartless especially the ones in Ago(OKOTA) and Lekki area.

According to the power of attorney, the agent supposed to get his full 10%,the P of A says 10% on any transaction,it didn't even say 10% on all transactions he participated, but in this case he brought the buyer and the woman played smart on him because she has been linked to the buyer direct, she is an oppressive investor.
