Decent review of one of the OGs in the EV world. Failed to mention the Achilies Heel of the Leaf though, lack of proper BMS which then leads to enhanced battery degradation. Probably the worst in the industry. May be OK in Mild climates. Have a soft spot the Leaf though
Out of curiosity, whats the cost of a unit of Elec in Kenya?

Thanks for the feedback 😃 The cost of electricity is around $0.28 per kWh.
We look forward to seeing what the 3rd generation of the leaf brings. Maybe we'll get a BMS here

@@Techweez There will not be a 3rd Gen. Currently have an enhanced 62Kwh version. Still suffers poor Battery thermal management. Nissan now make the Ariya, which brings the electrified portfolio to current standards

Electricity is too expensive in Kenya for electric vehicles if we're being honest. You can also survive with a thousand Bob on non-electric in a week. I would recommend getting a non-plugging hybrid for that amount of money. Great review though 💯

Hi EVChaja has charging points at City Mall Nyali, Westside mall Nakuru , mega city Kisumu , adlife , waterfront , acacia mall , and two rivers in Nairobi.

what's the average cost of a unit of electricity in Kenya? about 0.20 USD? so 40 bob? Id say that's not that dear, meanwhile si Ngata is headed for 180 a litre? Hybrid is a sham in my opinion, you are carrying around 2 powertrains all the time, increasing weight and complexity. a light petrol would be on par with a hybrid in terms of efficiency.
