So for Stary Night their concept are Sun, Wind, Flower and Star Thats why we have Solar with warm like tone like sunset Flower for Hwasa, thats why the background for Hwasa is either saturated or desaturated to focus on her since she's the flower. Wind for Wheein so you can see Wheein weaving in and out of the parts Moonbyul is the star so she gets the much clearer shots and starry night near the end. Egotistic concept is either make you hot or make you gay.

Have you seen the duet Solar did with her pole dance instructor? It's on Solar's personal YT channel @ solarsido with the "Engrish" title of "Double Pole Dance". Solar wrote and sings the song used to accompany the routine.
Nice catch on the dagger through the rose tattoo. Not one of Wheein's many real tats but symbolic for the song. Correct that Starry Night is the Spring song, also the color Yellow, which represents Attraction in the 4S4C color scheme, tho in this case it's for a former lover. Egotistic is the Summer/Red song, which obviously represents Passion. The Spanish influence includes Spain as well as Latin America and the Caribbean. As a video editor check out the cinematic story they're telling at the beginning of the MV. I think it represents the genesis of the song emotionally, visually and aurally. The visuals from the tear in Moonbyul's eye to the Red Moon logo in her mind's eye to the creation of the necklace are analogous to the emotions about the egotistic lover that trigger the musical expression in which the passion at the core of flamenco generates the reggaeton meets kpop song by MMM. My take on the sexiness in Egotistic is that it's really Solar who's unusually sexy. Hwasa can't help but be sexy but that's not really what she's going for. I think each member expresses her personal take on Red/Passion in the MV and that together they represent four stages of a passionate response to the egotistic lover: Anger (Moonbyul tosses chair), Defiance (Hwasa stares down the jaguar), Revenge (Wheein burns his guitar in effigy), and Liberation (Solar flies on the pole). Individually Solar is also sexy, sensual and provocative, Hwasa is wild, fierce and uninhibited, Moonbyul is strong, confident and independent, and Wheein is your basic badass bitch on wheels who wants to burn his butt and dance in the flames. 🔥🤣

@@SinghReacts These concepts start with Paint Me and are the framework for each of the 4S4C title track MVs. Imo Egotistic is the most obvious and Starry Night the least obvious. I've never really tried to figure out what each member represents in Starry Night and just get lost in the visuals and their voices. You'll see how they play out in Wind Flower (Fall/Blue) and Gogobebe (Winter/White).

Kudgeon nailed it with descriptions, per usual, so hopefully a short one from me here... "Starry night" was hands down the most beautiful mv of 2018...just absolutely gorgeous and anywhere you paused the video could be a fantastic wallpaper. Sadly, the mv somehow didn't even get nominated that year... The song itself was quite well received despite being so different from what's usually hot in kpop...or maybe because of it, collecting 9 music show wins, and is quite possibly one of the most recognized and beloved mmm songs in south korea (and with how popular their music is there, that's saying something) Some aren't exactly happy with the "egotistic" mv since it's a return to the 'film in a warehouse full of set/props' style that is common in kpop and being released between the gorgeous on-location mvs of "starry night" and "wind flower" really didn't do it any favors. For what it is, though, it's a great mv. The jaguar is cgi and, while it was enhanced digitally, the fire was real. They talked about how hot it was dancing while surrounded by fire and how their noses were full of soot afterwards The mmmtv episodes of both mv shoots are so much fun for different reasons...some of my favorite bits of mamamoo speaking english are from their nz shoots for "starry night", though nothing can top wheein's 'soul' line from her "easy" shoot
That big arm tattoo of Wheein is fake, but she does have the most tattoos in MMM. Now at 12, mostly minimalist. I'm not sure if you're aware but showing tattoos on TV broadcasts is prohibited, so artists usually cover them up with skin-toned tapes. I guess that's the reason also why most of the tv personalities stick with minimalist tattoos so it'll be less of a hassle to cover it up.
@@SinghReacts A lot of female Kpop stars that get tattoos often get them in out-of-the-way places that are easy to overlook as well. Ankles, behind an ear or the back of the neck where it can be concealed by hair. They can't show them on TV but they will reveal them on photoshoots, vLives and concert performances and other vids not made for TV.
Mamamoo especially have flaunted this convention more than once and you'll often see wheein's collarbone tattoo or the text on hwasa's forearm, but even they usually cover up (though i swear wheein insists they do as bad a job as possible covering her butterfly tattoos). Some other female artists do similar too, if they think they can get away with it...and, of course, many male idols with tattoos get away with showing them off on stage, but even they usually have to cover them up during interview segments or the like. One popular theory for wheein's fake tattoos in this mv is that they were asked to cover her real tats so he mv could be aired...so they covered them by covering her in fake ones. Though those tats are likely more to show her character's persona in the mv, 'bad bitch on wheels'

Correct that Starry Night is the Spring song, also the color Yellow, which represents Attraction in the 4S4C color scheme, tho in this case it's for a former lover. Egotistic is the Summer/Red song, which obviously represents Passion. The Spanish influence includes Spain as well as Latin America and the Caribbean. As a video editor check out the cinematic story they're telling at the beginning of the MV. I think it represents the genesis of the song emotionally, visually and aurally. The visuals from the tear in Moonbyul's eye to the Red Moon logo in her mind's eye to the creation of the necklace are analogous to the emotions about the egotistic lover that trigger the musical expression in which the passion at the core of flamenco generates the reggaeton meets kpop song by MMM.
My take on the sexiness in Egotistic is that it's really Solar who's unusually sexy. Hwasa can't help but be sexy but that's not really what she's going for. I think each member expresses her personal take on Red/Passion in the MV and that together they represent four stages of a passionate response to the egotistic lover: Anger (Moonbyul tosses chair), Defiance (Hwasa stares down the jaguar), Revenge (Wheein burns his guitar in effigy), and Liberation (Solar flies on the pole). Individually Solar is also sexy, sensual and provocative, Hwasa is wild, fierce and uninhibited, Moonbyul is strong, confident and independent, and Wheein is your basic badass bitch on wheels who wants to burn his butt and dance in the flames. 🔥🤣

@@SinghReacts These concepts start with Paint Me and are the framework for each of the 4S4C title track MVs. Imo Egotistic is the most obvious and Starry Night the least obvious. I've never really tried to figure out what each member represents in Starry Night and just get lost in the visuals and their voices. You'll see how they play out in Wind Flower (Fall/Blue) and Gogobebe (Winter/White).

"Starry night" was hands down the most beautiful mv of 2018...just absolutely gorgeous and anywhere you paused the video could be a fantastic wallpaper. Sadly, the mv somehow didn't even get nominated that year...
The song itself was quite well received despite being so different from what's usually hot in kpop...or maybe because of it, collecting 9 music show wins, and is quite possibly one of the most recognized and beloved mmm songs in south korea (and with how popular their music is there, that's saying something)
Some aren't exactly happy with the "egotistic" mv since it's a return to the 'film in a warehouse full of set/props' style that is common in kpop and being released between the gorgeous on-location mvs of "starry night" and "wind flower" really didn't do it any favors.
For what it is, though, it's a great mv. The jaguar is cgi and, while it was enhanced digitally, the fire was real. They talked about how hot it was dancing while surrounded by fire and how their noses were full of soot afterwards
The mmmtv episodes of both mv shoots are so much fun for different reasons...some of my favorite bits of mamamoo speaking english are from their nz shoots for "starry night", though nothing can top wheein's 'soul' line from her "easy" shoot

That big arm tattoo of Wheein is fake, but she does have the most tattoos in MMM. Now at 12, mostly minimalist. I'm not sure if you're aware but showing tattoos on TV broadcasts is prohibited, so artists usually cover them up with skin-toned tapes. I guess that's the reason also why most of the tv personalities stick with minimalist tattoos so it'll be less of a hassle to cover it up.

@@SinghReacts A lot of female Kpop stars that get tattoos often get them in out-of-the-way places that are easy to overlook as well. Ankles, behind an ear or the back of the neck where it can be concealed by hair. They can't show them on TV but they will reveal them on photoshoots, vLives and concert performances and other vids not made for TV.
Mamamoo especially have flaunted this convention more than once and you'll often see wheein's collarbone tattoo or the text on hwasa's forearm, but even they usually cover up (though i swear wheein insists they do as bad a job as possible covering her butterfly tattoos). Some other female artists do similar too, if they think they can get away with it...and, of course, many male idols with tattoos get away with showing them off on stage, but even they usually have to cover them up during interview segments or the like.
One popular theory for wheein's fake tattoos in this mv is that they were asked to cover her real tats so he mv could be aired...so they covered them by covering her in fake ones. Though those tats are likely more to show her character's persona in the mv, 'bad bitch on wheels'
