I have this scooter for about 1 year now and i can tell you its very good for commuting,has enough power (for a scooter-tops out at 175kmh) ,has good luggage capacity and has great weather protection with heating handles and seats.
BUT i thank got i still have the warranty because ive had problmems like clutch vibrations,the mirrors hare very sensitive and can break easily and cost 200€/unit, the gauge block melted internally along with the rpm indicator and other small things.Other minuses are :-its very heavy for a scooter a woman would have problems with it and its actually 70kgs heavier then the 1200RT, YES you read it right the monster RT is ligher because it has no frame, the plastics around the handle are cheap,and do not forget the price ,i paid it 13600€ .Hope my insight helps

BMW, as usual, is way ahead of it's time. I don't think Americans are going to buy a $10k scooter...yet. It is a nice machine but for five grand I can buy a very nice actual motorcycle from Honda or other competitors. A nice cross country ride with bags would be a good vid to post up.

They've got the C600 Sport too which is the same thing with a lot less plastics, but even the 650GT is small compared to the Burgman 650.
