I'm soo happy😁 Since Sunday I can finally run again. During my injury I learned soo much. Maybe the Injury was good because I'm a way better runner now, I learned from my mistakes I did before and learned a lot about regeneration, streching, strenght training and mental stuff. And that you need to be patience💪🏻 Goals for 2023 are set. Thank you ben for all the tips and your running videos. I learn so much from it😁 Running can make soooo happy
Well done Ben! I've actually run a full marathon (or two) in that type of condition. Normally I don't mind that kind of weather if the air temperature is okay. If it is cold, then it winds up being kind of dangerous being out there. Your training is really coming along and I remember watching your 2021 video last year. Keep up the good work!
Thankfully it was a fairly mild day but certainly felt the cold after the race, was soaked through to the bone 😂 thanks for your continued support 🤙🏼

Well done on second place, whilst putting in heavy marathon training weeks. I ran a Regent's Park 10k last week, got completely soaked, but enjoyed it, and got second by age grade, so was pleased with that.
These races are always my favorite because even though the conditions can get really bad sometimes it makes it a lot more fun and adventurous. Keep up the inspiring videos!!!!

Wow, definitely a wet one, just need a bike and it could be a triathlon, amazing running in those conditions and a brilliant sprint finish, your form looked superb. Great shout out for all the volunteers, they make it all happen, you really do put together an excellent vlog. Good luck with the rest of your training, 😊

Easily the wettest conditions I've ever run in - the road heading to the ford was especially crazy. Also top choice on the Hard Lines coffee, delicious stuff.
Hey Ben, I saw it on your STRAVA, amazing race, your time, pace all your performance and now when seeing in what weather conditions, large kudos for you! BIG Congratulations. Fortunately, I haven't raced in such terrible conditions, but might easily happen that I won't be so lucky and will catch bad weather at some of the races. As runners we need to adopt and to race to get it done :) All the Best.

Actually did worse last weekend; Curacao 1/2 marathon in a tropical rainstorm... Tens of sections of 50 to 200m long were flooded over 10cm deep. And we had 200m of raw sewage, out and back :)
The course had to be shortened slightly because a small off-road section was not passable and so on.
I did embrace the suck to somehow finish 20th.

That's an incredible time given the conditions! Any tips for racing in weather like this? I've got a half at the end of March (aiming sub 90) been lucky with the weather previously, but it goes up to 300m so we could even have snow 🥶.
Tips for this sort of weather… just hope you get to the finish line in one piece 😂

Hey, Great videoI have one question. I stopped running 1 year ago because of knee injury (meniscus injury) I wasn't able to run even 3km because of pain. Now my knees are better and i am planning to start again. I have Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 39 and i want to buy one more shoe. I have 2 options, Nike Zoom Fly 5 and Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit 2. I think maybe flyknit 2 can be good for my injury. What do you think ? Do you recommend Flyknit 2 for me, can it help me or Zoom Fly is better choice ?
Ben! Quick question? How do you run with glasses without them slipping? I use glasses and its a pain running in them!

It’s freeze roll on from puresport and yes, it’s a cbd based product which aims to reduce muscle soreness :) it’s also like deep heat, wakes the legs up a little
