    I bought a 2011 KQ 750 this spring. I have hand guards, a mirror, a winch, and a large cargo box on the back. The last owner kept his new tires and put the worn out stock tires back on it. I bought Kenda Bear Claw Radials, and they served me quite well. I put over 600 miles (960+ KM) on it this summer, other than an oil, filter, plug change, nothing needed to be fixed. It has 6000 miles on it. The dealer said that he regularly maintained it. I asked what he did for the last owner. He said nothing but oil and filter. These machines are nice and smooth to ride. They can go quick enough, if needed but there are faster machines for sure. The only thing that I would want to change somehow is to have foot wells that are more like the flat ones on Grizzly because the raised foot pegs can hurt the arches of your feet if you stand too much.

    I'm another King Quad fan. The reliability of these machines are fantastic. There are rumors of an all new model coming out in 2017, have you heard any snippets from Suzuki....??

      +Grant DJ I've heard nothing. I can't imagine them doing a make-over on a machine that they don't even promote and at a time when the vast majority of the OHV market consists of side by sides that they don't have. Then again they never fail to surprise me with their nothing.

    Aloha...
    May I say nice looking KQ. I myself ride a 15 KQ 750I. LOVE IT! :) Can't wait for this Idaho weather to warm up and melt away all this snow. I have been debating on whether to install front & back bumpers. But how you say it helps protect the plastic from tree branches & all definitely makes me want em even more. I do have the Ogio back rack pack the I absolutely love. Hand warmers & winch as well. Watching your TH-cam videos gives me great ideas and inspiration. Thank U!

      +Bjorn Bolinder My pleasure. I'd say at least the front bumper if you go on many trails with brush or tree limbs.

    Nice set up. Thanks for sharing.
    I'm personally not a big fan of having bags or boxes on the front. Reduced tight trail visibility would be my biggest complaint but on the King Quad 750 it also renders the 3rd light useless. I also like to be able to bungee cord things to the rack if the need arises while out on the trail.

      +Corsa I totally agree. I use the front on long rides but like you typically have nothing on the front rack but my heavy jacket bungeed down.

    You have done good things here, but my opinion is absent new tires, the King Quad is PERFECT right out of the box.

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Paul Bottino You are exactly right Paul. The KQ is perfect except that for riding all day in the mountains I like a box or bag to carry my extra gear, a winch in case I get into trouble, extra fuel because you never know what might happen ;-)

    I like the King Quad 450 as a personal use 4wheeler. We had few 450s they rode the best and felt the best, but didn't hold up to daily oil field abuse. For the 60/ 70 miles a day 6 days a week, the Honda Foreman 450s 500s hands down are the best for that kinda work. They ride like a rock though LOL! We also try 450 Yamahas/Arctic Cat 400/Cam-am 400 and few Polaris's they gave us for rentals as a deal when the boss got a deal to test the models we got. This was a few years ago though. Things could of changed since then, but out of all the four wheelers we got to try the 450 Kind Quad sticks out the most to me in my mind. They are the four wheelers I miss the most out of the one we got to test.

    tires are alot of money..... why change them as soon as you get a new quad.... it seems like a waste.....The Honda rincon 650 I have came with origial radial tires and seemed decent.....jmo

    I loved my 2005 king quad 700, and would love to buy a new one. The price is just too high. $10,500 for a power steering model... no thanks.

      +TheMEXICANBEEF One of my friends just found a brand new 2013 that was left over for 6000! WOW!

    after having, prairies, brute forces, outlanders, eigers, vinsons, grizzlys, kodiaks, sportmans, the kingquad is the best machine we've ever had, we have 2 eigers a old honda, and a KQ we will be buying another one when one of ours die.

    I have the 500, and I sure was hoping you would look into lighting upgrades. Any thoughts?

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ettore Namias I've never really looked at lighting. I guess I don't ride at night enough ;-) But you're not the first to ask so I will look into it. My first thought would be to look into LED replacements for the stock lights. I am supposed to have some LED light bars coming to test so we'll see on that as well....

    • @callocam
      @callocam 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't ride at night often either, but I do need to plow when it's dark and sometimes with blizzard like conditions here in Ct. I appreciate it! Hopefully they aren't too expensive lol

      +Ettore Namias Check these out. They look bright at a decent price. )www.theatvsuperstore.com/ATV-HID-Lights-p/suzukikq.htm). Otherwise it's an add-on light.

    any trip videos coming up? what are your thoughts on the polaris 1000 sportsman and/or scrambler?

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Isaac Gallatin I have an old (classic?) trip up Surprise Canyon when it was open coming up. Other than that probably nothing new on trips until spring...... In my opinion a 500 or maybe 650 is all the power you need for everything. The only time I need more power is when we ride in the deep snow in the mountains and that ain't all that often. More power, more weight, bigger all the way around and harder to manhandle in the tight little trails I find the most fun.

    I wish polaris would run the 2 strokes again . Then we could actually afford these 4x4 toys : ( They were always much lighter , much cheaper , and way easier to work on than the 4 strokes all the companies are making now .

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +brad b I really don't think a 2-stroke would be cheaper to make nowadays especially considering how hard they are to make meet the new emissions standards. I think our only hope is for smaller, simpler no frills machines like the King Quad 400 and the like.

  • @bradb9146
    @bradb9146 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would rather ride a polaris : )
