thank you, Emma.. I love this idea and will make one.. I planted trees on each of my 3 kid's 1st birthdays and will use twigs from those special trees .. I appreciate that you shared your idea and video
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. Our kids are so special to us. I absolutely loved that you planted trees for each of your kids, what a wonderful parent you are. Sending lots of love your way.
I have just cut out my cardboard heart and my twigs are ready , I shall be giving this to some dear friends of mine xx
That sounds lovely Christine. You could also PVA glue it after you've finished as this will make it stronger as your are giving it to a friend. Mine has been up over 2 years and nothing has fallen off. I start my new craft tomorrow, I will be thinking of you 😘
This is lovely heart ❤ well done 😊
Thank you. You're kind.
Beautiful! Did you clean sticks before you made your heart?
Hi LeeLee Swi, i give all my sticks a good bath first just to make them nice and clean ( I use antibacterial soap). Then I keep them in my shed to make sure they are all dried out. If you want to seal them after there are lots of different methods, if it's for a project out doors I don't use anything. If it's for a project inside there's many different ways to seal them. For this project you can make your project first then PVA the entire thing. I have used Rust-oleum crystal clear protective coat Matt finish in the past. I also know people who don't seal there sticks at all. I hope this has answered your question. I would love to know if you make a heart yourself. Get the family involved picking up sticks when going out for a walk. I love looking at mine every day. (Special memories)
@@handy_emma Perfect, thanks Emma! Yes me & my wee girl going out collecting sticks each night, it will be our Lockdown twig heart🙂 x
Did you treat them/seal the twigs?
Hi jo, I kept my sticks in my shed for a few months, just to dry out completely first. After making the heart I gave it a few coat's of PVA glue. But I have used Rust-oleum crystal clear protective coat Matt finish, in other projects. Which seals, protects and enhances
Handy Emma thank you
What glu do you need to use as I used normal super glu and it would not stick together.
Hi Hannah I used a glue gun and lots of glue sticks hope this helps you. Hope you have a great day
Thanks
Thank you Ekenna
