    Unless she's a parent to an underaged child, then she is not responsible for ANY OTHER PERSONS ACTIONS. Now if she was egging him on or demanded he do it, then that's different. But she actively tried to tell him to stop. She can't put herself in harms way, she did what she could. Even if she is friends with the guy, she is still not liable or responsible for his actions! This is insane that this is even an issue. The only problem i see is she may not have went into questioning fast enough? Even with that she was probably scared or worried. But she went in. This shouldn't even be an issue. Which unfortunately korea loves to make non-issues into huge issues. Korea is so messy.

    A woman is not obligated to protect anyone against a man who has been proven to be dangerous. He could break every bone in her body and she would not be able to defend herself. Is that what was called for? Jessi has been through more than enough at the hands of the psychopaths just for being a genuine, unique talent as well as a complete female human being. She's a top flight entertainer and in the end, her talent and bravery will triumph.

    • @indragupta8783
      @indragupta8783 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      I don't think even the Koreans expected her to physically intervene in the fight. What's most disappointing is that, when the police arrived, she had already fled the scene and was nowhere to be found. The police found her group, minus the attacker, drinking at a bar as if nothing had happened. Given that it was her own fan who was assaulted by one of her affiliates, the least she could have done was check on the fan to make sure he was okay or call the police. The fan had to call the police himself. After that, the victim and his parents reached out to Jessi’s company for help identifying the attacker, but they were essentially told that they didn’t know. Koala messaged them, advising them not to contact Jessi. Remember, for the victim, Jessi’s company number was the only publicly available contact, so they couldn’t have contacted Koala directly. If they had genuinely wanted to help, given that the attacker was Koala’s personal friend, they could have easily done so. Jessi is being criticized for how she handled the situation after it all happened.

    • @underthegardenwall
      @underthegardenwall ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      It's not that Jessi should've intervened physically, it's that she kinda fled the scene afterwards. What prevented her from sticking around and saying sorry to the fan? She wouldn't be in this mess at all if she simply showed some concern for the fan's well-being and helped him out in whatever way. Yet all her excuse seems to be is, "Well I wasn't the one who murdered this person, I simply witnessed it...why are you criticizing me for not reporting to the police or helping the victim when I was simply a witness to the murder?" It's the total lack of moral responsibility that's getting Jessi side-eyed, not the crime itself.

    Another thing is that the Korean audience and entertainers had already pinned this 'gangsta girl' label on her ever since the Unpretty Rapstar show where she delivered the now infamous quote "who are you to judge me?". She didn't disrespect or demean anyone. She STOOD UP for herself and that immediately rubbed people the wrong way and bolstered the existing prejudice about 'Americans' and she instantly became some 'American Thug' to them. They constantly pushed this imagery on her for years on every show she participated in. So the fact that she showed strength despite being bullied and discriminated against simply for being born somewhere else became her crime. The Korean entertainment machine has done this repeatedly to American-born Koreans. Bom from 2NE1, Tiffany from GG, and many others, even those not American-born but from anywhere else. When you are so determined to be prejudiced even when the person is the same as you, well, we are already starting at the bottom.

    I would never start by saying, violence is never acceptable. But as a woman being approached later at night by an unknown man (18ish is still a man) is scary regardless who is with you. So her friends stood up for her, as there was no sound we cant tell what was being said but there was defo some conversation which has sparked a situation. She tried to stop but being a realist realised there was nothing she could do so walked away. This is something most par3nts tell you growning up, if something is happening walk away before you get in trouble. What so people expect. If she got hurt what would people say?? Its ridiculous the way people who have nothing to do with anything have the biggest say... this makes me angry sorry for the rant x

Once you witness something…you just became involved. She should have went straight to police. I witnessed a road rage in front of me …I became involved once I noticed. Did I want to get involved…no but I still called the police and gave them as much information as I could. They told me police were on their way and I was told not follow them. I did as much as I could and left with a clear conscience.

She wouldn't be in this mess at all if she simply showed some concern for the fan's well-being and helped him out in whatever way. Yet all her excuse seems to be is, "Well I wasn't the one who murdered this person, I simply witnessed it...why are you criticizing me for not reporting to the police or helping the victim when I was just a witness to the murder?" It's the total lack of moral responsibility that's getting Jessi side-eyed, not the crime itself.

But then pictures began surfacing of Jessi and the assailant together. Even he she knew him, she's still not responsible for another person actions. I don't think anybody was really expecting Jessi to physically protect her fan, but she at the very least could've stuck around to make sure the fan was okay and apologize. This kid got beaten up because he was a fan who just wanted to say hi, so Jessi DOES have a moral (though not legal) responsibility to at the very least say sorry instead of just going off to party with her friends like nothing happened. Even her passiveness in that moment of violence felt like she was more concerned about distancing herself from the situation (as in, helping herself before helping anybody else) and I think that's where Jessi is getting side-eye.
    Again, not saying she did anything wrong LEGALLY, but her actions afterwards clearly showed she's kinda irresponsible and only concerned about helping herself, and that's not a good look for her. All she really had to do avoid this mess was merely stick around, show some concern for the fan, help him out with the police, and nobody in their right minds would've blamed her. But nah, Jessi kinda ran away at every opportunity to make things right, so it's not surprising she's getting slammed.

    15:56 Correction: That is the not the phone flash light flashing, that is the Face ID IR blaster on the front of an I-Phone which cannot be seen through naked eyes but is visible on cameras. You can actually see the same happening from the guy behind holding his phone. There is no flashing lights, please rectify this or you would be spreading misinformation.
    QUICK FACT:
    People encounter Infrared waves every day; the human eye cannot see it, but humans can detect it as heat. A remote control uses light waves just beyond the visible spectrum of light-infrared light waves-to change channels on your TV. (Same principle on I-Phone)

      I don't know what the feature is that you are talking about (and maybe you can see or zoom clearer than I can!), but as soon as I saw the video, it looked like to me a feature I have on my phone, that does indeed flash like that while it is taking pictures, under a special setting that basically takes multiple pictures (can be anywhere from like just a few to hundreds at a time) very quickly and in rapid succession, while only having to press the button once in the very beginning to set it off, and then it will just keep going by itself.
      I'm not saying I know positively, because again, I can't seem to zoom in closely or clearly enough to see for sure, but that's just what it looked like to me on my phone.

    • @sudiptomalik947
      @sudiptomalik947 9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@Sugas_Girr No worries, I will explain further. The I-Phone uses depth cameras and an Infrared light emitter(IR) to light up the face (Infrared light is not visible through naked eyes but is visible on cameras) and the depth sensing camera uses this light to accurately make out the face. That is why I-Phone Face ID is very secure. The flashing light that you see in the video is from that Infrared Light Emitter, which again is only visible through camera which is the CCTV camera.
      If you slow down the video and watch it maybe on a bigger screen you can actually, for a split second, see the screen turn on where the flashing light is coming from. When I-Phone screen turns on, it is constantly shinning this Infrared Light to scan a face, hence the flashing light. Also if you notice the guys in the back holding a phone in his hand, his front of the phone was flashing too.
      Side Note: If you want, try using a TV remote facing directly at your phone camera, you will actually see red light flashing.

    • @sudiptomalik947

      Also this could be the proximity sensor which is present on every phone, when you bring your phone close to your ear during a call the screen automatically turns off. But the flash light is too bright to be a proximity sensor as those use less powerful Infrared Light Emitters.😃

    So based on the video I've seen and I like Jesse and I think she's so cool she's cool to BTS I think there's blame to go around here. including with Jesse but not for not intervening. I think the first person to blame is the producer boyfriend friend whatever he is . the phone looked at exactly what my phone does when it gets a flash notification. instantly went to aggressive Macho mode. That was the first thing he did he started it because he wasn't calm and I know that because Jesse pulled him back because she knew something was going to go down. And Being drunk and seeing another guy react like that the idiot who actually hit him just reacted the same as as the producer boyfriend guy but Jessie and her friend wasn't fast enough to stop him. I don't believe he should have done that and I don't believe she should put herself in danger to stop two very drunk bigger guys beating up her fan but I think the fault lies with the guys not Jessi. first with the producer boyfriend person and then with the guy who actually hit him and continued to the one spot where I think Jessi might have done something wrong she saw her fan was hurt and she didn't stay to make sure he was okay I understand her trying to calm down to two idiots but she was the only reason he the fan was there so she should have at least had someone check on the fan. That is purely based on the video I've seen however. so many things can change if you hear the audio the fan could have been saying something bad. Or about 4 million scenarios could go on with the audio but based on what I saw in the video its producer guy and his friends fault and Jessi's a little bit for not staying or if she couldn't stay having someone's check to make sure everything was okay

    This is ridiculous. If you watch a decent amount of content from Jessi, you become familiar with her mannerisms and body language: You can clearly see that she is being respectful and graciously declining when the fan first approaches, while immediately pulling Koala back to let him know its ok. A lot of this is on the victim...I am generally not a victim blamer, but he was clearly told "NO", more than once, and did not comply....that is harassment. Labeling him as a minor is a fine line...he's 18 and clearly a fully grown man. What if Jessi had stepped outside by herself? Would he still have approached like that? This is night time, an alley, and he was a complete stranger...where are the people acknowledging the fact that "fans" are seriously crossing personal boundary lines and creating unsafe situations for both themselves and the celebrities that they harass/stalk? The camera flash was unfortunate; I also thought he was already taking pics. Koala's friend was in the wrong for throwing the punch, but you can see Jessi trying to intervene just before he threw the first punch...she was right to then walk away. Anyone who has ever seen men break out in a fist fight, knows it can get dangerous and escalate very quickly....it is scary, and freezing or not knowing how to respond appropriately, does happen. You are not responsible for the actions of your friend's acquantances, nor are you responsible for the fallout/consequences of a person's behaviour AFTER you clearly and repeatedly told them NO. What kind of mother teachers her son it's ok to approach/harass women like this, especially in the dark of night...celebrity or not!?!

    Well, it seems like somebody’s trying to get paid. Why should she have to settle?
    Jessi did nothing wrong.

    Jessi might need to assess her associates more carefully.

    Even though Jessi is not at fault for someone attacking her fan, the thing that bothers me about all this is, that Jessi left the scene before the police came. Obviously, she can tell that the person is young, was attacked, and was a fan. Who would leave their fan on the street alone, after being attacked by someone she was around (even though she said she only met the attacker that day)? The student was probably scared, was anxious, and needed support from someone. It does not look good to leave the scene, and go to a restaurant. Who would leave their fan alone like that? I think she's hanging out with the wrong crowd for sure.

    She's not responsible for her friends friend. Her friend is responsible for his friend. She didn't have to apologize to anybody she did. Jessi is the shyt. I love her music and I love how she speaks her mind.

    We can’t trust kmedia. Jessi didn’t do anything wrong , period . What she does in her personal life is hers to live. Everybody in the kmedia wouldn’t like it if reporters were filming and documenting what other reporters do on their off work time
