Tough Inlet... Been There Done it... BTW how are those striper boat poles working out.

I did not get anything trolling yet this season and I haven't been out in 2 weeks but the Daiwa/Senator combos are great. The original one has landed doubles on the tandems with big fish, just have to realize that you don't try to lift big fish out of the water like a sea bass. I wouldn't even try on the heavier rods. Most of the stripers I get trolling are in the 25-35 inch range and they handle doubles no problem. Don't think I had a double on the 2nd one I put together.
I will use them when I have to troll and save the heavier rods with the Squall 50LDs for when I hear about or see Bluefin in the area and throw out a few spreader bars. That's my plan anyway.

This wasn't really that bad of a day, the camera doesn't do it justice though. It was definitely bigger seeing it in person. You can hear my wife and daughter making noise as we were approaching them, it was fun.
Any bigger and I would not go through it with them or plow straight up the middle.

Its not too bad but I have been there for awhile. It can get crazy with a fast outgoing and waves stacking at the entrance.

That inlet can be tricky. Back in the day we had a boat in Clark’s Landing. Sunk the bow a couple times on the return

I am sure it will happen in the inlet someday (hopefully not.....fingers crossed) but I know I have dipped the bow in the canal.

@@participationtrophyfishing ugh, I forgot about that canal.

@@Dub180 My old boat was kept on the Metedokonk. I always had to go through the canal. Could be a lion or a lamb depending on the tides and traffic.
