- Adam chatting candidly about his house fire in December 2023 and how he had just written his new single, 'Sleepless Nights'.
The fire brought home, even more so, that the most important things in life cannot be bought, family, faith and love.

Hey brother, so sorry to hear about the loss, all anybody can do is keep moving forwards and rebuild, unfortunately it’s the memories and memobilia that you’ll miss the most. Positive thinking always nobody was injured or worse thankfully

Hey Adam ...i feel you... I can feel and hear it in your voice... The heartache and pain of loss is real... Yes it is stuff and can be replaced ...but it is also memories...the photos, the letters from days gone past, the treasured gifts from loved ones .... They all hold memories...
However, now you get to start again and make new memories ...
Life is a journey...and not always a happy one...
we think we have it all figured out ...them boom something happens that's beyond our control ... Then the feeling of safety is gone... Ultimately thats all any of us want is to feel safe....
I know this well ...not through fire but through domestic violence and then flood... The Dungog floods of April 2015...
I thought i was going to die that day 😢 and remember yelling at god ... "I'm not going to die today"...in the days after all i wanted was a dry clean pair of shoes and undies ...i watched my car float away like a matchbox toy... And was hit by a jolt of electricity...
we spend a couple of months sleeping in a loft above a tractor shed...a bucket for a toilet.. cooking food over a fire and sleeping on a lounge....in reality our first cooked meal over a fire was one of the most romantic best times of our lives ...our chicken and veg in a camp oven...still remember it... I share this because you and your family will find the peace eventually and find the special moments while you are traveling this experience and journey.
...now im personally starting a new journey and again the feeling of safety is gone nine years later as my beautiful knight in shining armour is battling a cancer diagnosis...
Like i said...life is a journey..good and bad... We just have to learn to ride the waves....
you'll get through this....as God doesn't give us more than we can handle...even if sometimes it feels like it...

So sad to hear about the bad things that have been happening around your family mate, but like you were saying yourself, that's what they are, just "things". Most importantly you and your family are safe, even though I can understand the "underlying damage" that can do to your mental health. But you got the "Church" to rely on. Great work, great song!
Oh Adam, I'm so sorry mate. Not something I want to experience again, that's for sure. I'm so glad everyone is safe, and as you say at the end of the day, whilst it is still hard, it is ultimately just 'stuff'. Onwards and upwards mate. Best wishes to you and the family, glad you are all safe.

I feel for you🥰l know what its like to lose everything material,but l didnt lose my lil girl, things dont matter if you don't have the people you love. So glad you have massive love and support around you at this hard and heartbreaking time. You guys are amazing parents, making this an adventure for them,and putting them first always. The only way is up you have had it all and as you say the most important thing is you are all safe. Possessions can be rebuilt and brought but lives cant.
@Adam Brand. Hi Adam. My partner came across your music after a stroke and has followed you since; he is a former volunteer firefighter and said to me that it can be quite frightening for victims when they first come across their home ablaze. He is glad that you are okay. Are you rebuilding? I'm originally from Goulburn in New South Wales and when I came across your video I at first thought that it was through the bush fires. Do the Firies know what the cause was?
