Lots of love and regard to you and your son! Amazing decision! I recently realised that certain kids does not improve in language and social interaction just being in the peer group! To share my story, my daughter was good in academics , so we decided to send her to pre-school so that she could socialize and learn back and forth communication there, 6 months later I can see that she is still not able to do back and forth communication. I took cognizance of this matter and trying to give more time and attention to her!

Every kid with autism has difficulty in socialization..n being a parent of kid on spectrum I feel getting independent is the priority without compromise rest everything follows..Even I am in favour of homeschooling because in the same time duration we can work on different and more no. Life is about trial and error, some concepts work some done, some circumstance provide choice in some case there is no controllability, and we can just accept it as it and try to get the best result out. Hum sab parents issi umeed se decisions lete hai aur effort lagate hai ki bacche ke liye yeh sahi hoga ya yeh effort work karega, but hoga ki nahi woh humein nahi pata. Our Autistic children need responsible and highly involved teachers, which is a lost cause, although the schools claim to be "inclusive". Our children dont learn by watching others, rhe teacher or instructors have to be extra adept to help them. Hence you have taken the right decision. Let him take his time. Im sure things will improve. Im an an ASD child's parent too. I know how difficult it is. Its a fight, everyday.
I can only add to any negative comments that if someone is trying hard to make her child ready for future it is her choice and decision . I feel she is enough educated than others and she has taken the right decision . I also have friends in India who are from society of professors and highly educated society and everyone is taking the decision of coming out from the mainstream school and rather help child development and support at home. Respect her decision

Inna I can totally relate with u. My son is same age as urz and on the same level as viraj. I've been sending him to mainstream school for 2 years but that did no good to him. I sent him to special education centre and saw better changes in him. Finally I concluded that main stream education is not meant for our kids as their interests are different. I've decided to home school him till he can go for his O levels and decide subjects of his own choice
One should do what is best for their kids ,homeschooling or regular schooling is a parent's individual decision ,depending on your child's need ,behavior and his/her personality take a decision.
After two months of regular school, I too found that, my kid's time is not productively utilized in school. Teachers were not cooperative. Hence i cutdown school to half day daily. Even after 1 more month of half day school, i felt that , that time is also a waste of time. So we too revoked admission from the school. I am confident that I can handle my child better than school teacher. Now target is to prepare him at Home for regular school by next year June 25 in nearby school.

I’m a very protective father and doesn’t want my son to go through any form of bullying. Schools like Euro school, orchids the international and others call themselves inclusive but the moment they realised my son is under therapy for autism they shut their Doors on me.

Hi ina ive been following your channel since a very long time. My child is 6yrs and he has mild autism. He goes to school now he is in kg2. Since last year i have dealing with one thing that he doesnt remember the names of his friends excluding 2 friends who stay in our building otherwise if i show him his classmates photo he will not remember their names or he will come up with some other names. Sometimes i get confused whether he remembers the faces or not or for him all faces look the same..any way i came across something which is called propagnosia which is a cognitive disorder of face perception and that could be majorly present in kids who are dealing with autism. Could you plz research and tell us more about it.

Hello ma’am. my son is autistic and currently we are facing challenges related to his admission. I completely understand your situation. I’m a very protective father and doesn’t want my son to go through any form of bullying. Schools like Euro school, orchids the international and others call themselves inclusive but the moment they realised my son is under therapy for autism they shut their Doors on me.

If there is any good daycare near by your home , with love camera access, you can try viraj going there and doing some activities of his interest with other kids and staff over there .

Hi ina ive been following your channel since a very long time. My child is 6yrs and he has mild autism. He goes to school now he is in kg2. Since last year i have dealing with one thing that he doesnt remember the names of his friends excluding 2 friends who stay in our building otherwise if i show him his classmates photo he will not remember their names or he will come up with some other names. Sometimes i get confused whether he remembers the faces or not or for him all faces look the same..any way i came across something which is called propagnosia which is a cognitive disorder of face perception and that could be majorly present in kids who are dealing with autism. Could you plz research and tell us more about it.
