- For Desmond-related reasons, Assassin's Creed Odyssey's arrival got us thinking about bits we'd love to skip in otherwise brilliant games. Look out for a special surprise guest!

Thank you all SO MUCH for having me on the show! It was a delight working with you all and hopefully we will cross paths in the future! You're all amazing and beautiful!
Professor Juice you were great in this video! You should join Access full time.
I demand that you are invited back every week for this feature!
You have done an amazing job! Leaving a sub there, keep it up
We all loved seeing you too 😃
Professor Juice you were are really pleasant surprise
The only time I didn't really care for Desmond was in the first Assassin's Creed. From Assassin's Creed II and onward he actually grew on me and I eventually really liked him as a character.
F for my boi
But yeah I started with 2 and I really liked him
Fighter McWarrior I hated being stuck in rooms I loved the ones where you got to break in and kill idiots
any escort mission ever, but a shout out to Big Smoke in GTA San Andreas whose AI has all the will to live as a clinically depressed, suicidal lemming.
The over use of tank sections in Arkham Knight.
Give this guy a cookie!
Once you get a feel of the controls for the Batmobile, it is not half as bad (but still bad enough).
I really enjoyed them actually. Can kinda see why they are hated though.
That would mean skipping almost the entire game lol
Was anyone else super disappointed by the Deathstroke "fight"
I would like to point out to Nath that he's Platinumed Burnout Paradise TWICE without realizing there's a Restart Last Event option in the EasyDrive Menu.
I agree with Hollie on Persona 5. Gotta get those social links up for the feels. It's a game about feels.
Personally disagree, but however I hate the whole week when Morgana goes all emo on you with Haru, turns me off everytime
I hate that part too so I guess that would be the part I wish I could skip in a game I otherwise love.
Ewan Copp oh god I forgot about that fucking part. Every other part of the game I like besides that because Morgana gets pissed at Ryuji and it'd stupid
First time playing I had trouble doing the puzzle in the first castle. Trying to find the golden knight.
Ewan Copp SAME
...Burnout Paradise has a restart button. I realised it on my 2nd playthrough, it changed everything for me
Yeah I was going to say, They added it in an update.
that is what i was thinking when he said that, it was added in the original release of burnout paradise, of all the 100s of hours he played i'm surprised he didn't notice it lol
Yep it's on the fast drive menu😂 I've platinumed it twice and I'd be pissed if I just found that out 😂
I never hated the Desmond bits, but I loathed the future stuff in the games that followed AC3. No, I don't want to play a nameless, faceless, personalityless first-person avatar of a desk-worker at Abstergo. So. Damn. Boring.
Desmond's story line was probably one of my favourite parts in the AC series. I hate they got rid of it. As you said it's turned dull and lifeless since then, don't understand the hate tbh
I didn't care much for the person in Origins.
That's how I feel like I felt like they were on to something in AC3 with Desmond going out on missions and I loved the bit were you attack Abstergo and kill Vidic
Shawn Morse
That was kinda the problem.
Until 3, desmond was kinda in training.
3 was most likely the eventual plan, but by then the damage had veen done.
The only Desmond part I hate is the first game, cause all you do is walk slowly in a small room. But the other Desmond part I think it’s cool cause you get to see Desmond become a Assassin. Desmond get to fight and climb buildings,
"It's a game about romancing -Alistair- Morrigan"
Hollie, I fixed that quote for you. Other than that, you are 100% correct.
That's basically my so many playthroughs during 2009 and a lot of 2010 when Dragon Age Origins came out, Morrigan is Morrigan so...Morrigan! hehe.
Leliana, you mean. Get it right. :)
@@squashyball Well, she wouldn't agree to a threesome, so...
Edit: on a serious note, Leliana has one of the best french accents I've heard in a game. Great choice in voice actor.
I varied between Morrigan and Leliana on different playthroughs. The main, meaningful, cannon one was Morrigan, though.
While flirting with Leliana. Catfight!
Am I the only one who liked Desmond? :(
no just most people are stuck in the gameplay of AC and not understanding the story
Desmond was cool. I always wanted a game where he's the main character in modem times. That would need innovation in gameplay and would be perfect to close his and his ancestors' story; their lineage.
Too bad ubi decided to milk the cow.
It's just unfortunate that decided to put most (if not all) the ending of Juno's storyline in COMICS. Comics can be neat...but I was really wanting to play through that.
Thanks all. Good to know that I am not the only one who misses the future stuff that had a good narrative and purpose. Desmond for the win
Desmond was amazing and the games just went down hill after they killed him they became pointless and have lost their purpose
who else actually liked desmond and was pissed when he was taken out since the only reason we could even go back in time to the "real game" was because they were one of his ancestors
Ikr and they killed him off in the game with the best modern day missions
Wow, no one said it?...I'll say it
Chapter 13: Final Fantasy XV
Agreed. Though, to be fair, they've largely made it better with updates. And it's supposed to get even better with another update in the future.
Which mission is that?
Ah yes awful level. Just want to get it over with.
Is that the part where you're going through that research facility and you find the crystal that sucks noctis in?
Hated that part.
@@conorhannelly2482 The "stealth" segment
The ship stealth sections from AC blackflag
Darsh Jalan honestly tho bro I feel it
Completely agree, love that game but I really hate them sections.
Or the tailing missions. There's like 20+ of them. I counted!
@@devineaaron i hated those
Better than office hacking
Cobra Tank/Cloudburst battles and the Excavator chase. In Arkham Knight
Sudden underwater level! Did you like your controls? How about the same controls with an extra axis!
sonic 1s Scrap Brain zone act 3 entered my brain the moment i read this... i thought i was done with Labyrinth Zone but NO...
Haven't gotten around to playing it yet, but I heard there's a big focus on underwater sections in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This has me very concerned...
Kingdom hearts 1 did a good job of that in the little mermaid world lmao, the whole game just changes
It's Tomb Raider so underwater sections, underwater puzzles, good old underwater levers, drowning, waterfalls, all the horrible bits! Am waiting for it to go on sale or get an end of year edition or something
Ashley Jackson: Good call. Think I'll do the same.
Damn caddicarus' sister is working for PlayStation access. Awesome.
GOAT DAM! I was like, "Why does Rosie looks so familiar" And also, I love the oldie PS1 reference and how almost no one in Access knows what on earth she is talking about. Touche Rosie, touche!
She's adorable
@@CrazeeAdam I've seen her own videos and past caddy videos. I agree, I hope Rosie stays there for a while. I have seen a lot of intern go from the internships to full time jobs.
@@CrazeeAdamstill here :)
I've never related to someone more than I did to Hollie during her explanation. I don't care about saving the world I just want to get a fictional character to fall in love with me!!!!
The struggle is real - Hollie
I'm all about Morrigan in DA:O. I blame Bioware for creating such incredible characters. How am I supposed to care about saving the world or the universe when there's characters like Morrigan and Tali'Zorah around?
Her face when she heard “fade out” in 6:11 lol
Same. 👊🏾😁
For me it would be The Iron Bull in DAI. I love the character and IMO he has got the greatest, funniest, sexiest romance scenes of the game.
🤣😍
He is a legend! It balances being fun, goofy and meaningful at the same time, excellently written.
Just as I was starting to watch the video and I thought about The Fade in Dragon Age Origins and there you go!!! Hollie thought the same thing! That's the only thing I hated in Dragon Age Origins. I will not mention what happens to alistair in the Landsmeet in each of my playthroughs hehe. I liked how Loghain died with and regained Honor in Dragon Age inquisition... Again in the damn Fade against the Nightmare.
I LOVE Witcher 3 and honestly think that it is the best game ever made, although of course not without flaws. The things I hated about it were the absolutely ridiculous, silly and simply daunting amount of underwater smuggler's cache's in Skellige. And that 50 headshot trophy (as a fan, I was compelled to platinum it, so could not avoid unfortunately). In my case, the game only registered about 33% of actual headshots, so I had to score about 150 of them! Horrible, horrible experience which makes me shiver to this day.
As soon as Hollie started talking about Dragon Age Origins I knew the Fade would be coming up.
Isn't Rosie Caddicarus' sister...you making some sort of mcu with games or something?
I was like, "wait sec isn't that Caddie's sister? does she work for Access now?" lol
and BTW, Rosie, please tell Caddie to finally do a video about Um Jammer Lammy.
The BGU
British Gaming Universe!
I'm quite sure that was caddy's sister
That's what I was going to say
@@Kaimax61 someone just watched thw croc review again lol
I loved Desmond. I loved the story that was happening in the modern times. I loved the characters you got to interact with as him, and I loved those interactions. It makes me so sad to know I'm such a minority in this :( Sure, the first game wasn't that great as him, but then again, the first game was clunky altogether. But the missions you do as Desmond in ACIII are probably my most replayed AC bits of all time, simply because they're so smooth and with such fun commentary between the characters.
I guess I just play those games more for the plot/story, while most people only care about the action. I like the action, but sometimes I found myself rushing through it just to get to more of the story, because I find it so fascinating in AC. I bawled my eyes out so bad at the end of ACIII, and honestly, hadn't been as into the series since then. Well, okay, Black Flag was obviously awesome, but I was somewhat carried through by the glimpses we got of Shaun, Becca and other Desmond-related stuff.
Same, I really enjoyed the Desmond parts.
Give Rosie a job, she would fit right in! Fair play to her for being so confident on her first video. Awesome video as usual - my choice would be the intro to elder scrolls/fallout games; after your 5th playthrough there should be a “this isn’t my first rodeo” option
Ha ha ha yeah good point there
Hollies face when Nathan delivered his fade out pun was hysterical.
I see Desmond in the thumbnail, I'm ready to fight
Rob, you just earned my subscription for mentioning the WoT series. Good man. Don’t go losing a hand.
lol I agree with Hollie 100%! Also OMG love the Wheel of Time mention!!!!! For me another thing I'd like to skip is the rotating tower level in Devil May Cry 3, just gets really annoying to me.
Hollie's reaction to Nath's pun was just gold. That utter look of "why have you done this?"
I actually felt close to Desmond and was sad when he fried! But I still like you Rob!
LOL Fried
Seeing Rosie just filled my dark little heart with joy, get Caddy in to play some CTR with Rob and see whos better!
Side note, I love this channel so much.
Playstation Access has got the juice..
Love your channel Icon, I'm a big Looney Tunes fan xD
Aw Rosie's first Access video. Who knew back then she would become the heart of the channel. Love her
How did i know Rob would know about Wheel of Time? makes my nerd heart flutter all the more.
+
For me it's the Batmobile in Batman Arkham Knight. It was a completely awesome feature but everytime you turn a bloody corner they want you to use the batmobile for something and it's like...'ok we get it! you can drive the batmobile in this game!'.
nathan the IS a retry race button, you just push left (or right) on the dpad after you loose and go down to "retry event" takesyou back to the start line
In my (flimsy) defence I think this was patched in after launch on PS3 and I am 1000 years old
it was not patched i remember doing it on the ps3 and on the ps4 remaster , they just changed the layout
I literally signed in on my PC just to point this out to Nath. Glad I wasn't the only one who knew about it. And yes, it was in since launch on PS3, not part of a patch.
It definitely wasn't in the PS3 version at launch, it was patched in later. I think by the time of the PC launch it was in.
Hey guys!! Each and every one of you are so good at casually making me want to hardcore play every game you talk about! I love you guys, Tuesday’s are always my favorite.
Just finished playing Dragon Age Origins again, and I 100% agree about the fade....
Basically every underwater level in every game ever.
I always used the level skip cheat to skip the water bits in Tomb Raider 2.
This. I remember Mario 64 being the game where I realized water levels are trash
Except Spyro
I am having kingdom hearts atlantica flashbacks
That bit in Jak 2 when you're in a mech.
Holy crap... I never hear anyone talk about wheel of time, I just felt it was a great book series that is also underrated and most don’t know about it.
Yes! I feel the same way.
Absolutely LOVE WoT! Though I do gotta say wasn't a huge fan of Robert Sanderson's job with his parts though he did do okay
+[MaLinda Stevens]
Brandon Sanderson*. But an easy mistake to make.
For me, _The Gathering Storm_ and _The Towers of Midnight_ are 2 of my favourite books in the series (along with another duo: _The Shadow Rising_ and _The Fires of Heaven_ ), but, as should be obvious, "to each their own" applies.
Yes I know that, dunno why I wrote the wrong name LOL. Brain isn't working properly today apparently :-P
+{MaLinda Stevens]
As mentioned: easy mistake to make. So no problem.
Oh and those bloody stealth challenges in the new Spider-Man game. That’s a smashed controller they owe me for.
They're no longer than 20 minutes why are you destroying property
You guys have never made a video I've not been entertained by or liked.... like ever. Keep on being awesome!
Me, playing through Dragon Age: Inquisition the first time: Come on Bioware, this isn't a hard choice at all. There's no way I'd ever leave Hawke.
Me, playing through Dragon Age: Inquisition the second time with a different world state: Oh.
Persona 5 is perfect for what Holly is talking about with Dragon Age Origins. By the time you're tired of doing dungeons and stuff, its over, time to social life. By the time you're tired of social life, it's time to go back into the dungeons. Perfect fucking pacing. God I love that game.
Lens Hunter agreed. I never once got bored. I did always try to finish the dungeons ASAP because the socializing was just so great.
I'd like to play as Rob in a game.
I find it amazing that you guys can have a fresh idea for the Tuesday checklist every week
The Jet ski in the first Uncharted.
The Fade section of Dragon Age: Origins. Very yes. I played it though the 'correct' way a couple times, but oh..the ability to skip that section was marvelous.
That escort part in Twilight Princess. I hate it with a passion.
Sir Fluffy lol so true
Clasher Niels definitely. They broke it even more in the HD port as Epona controls like utter ass.
Easily the worst part in the game. But they managed to make it amazing in the manga.
ANY escort mission in ANY game.
I don't know what section your on about but then again, I don't remember much about TP.
Oh wow, Rosie's got something about her, I instantly liked her! She seems to fit in so well with the team and so light and not nervous at all in front of the camera. Please make her part of your staff, or maybe something like a frequent guest/friend of the house sort of thing
This aged well 😂
Monstro in the first Kingdom Hearts >_< it nearly caused me to stop playing! Bevelle cloister of trials can do one as well!
As well as Deep Jungle in KH1, those two are the worst.
Yea Monstro is a pain, though after doing the Bevelle cloister so many times I've gotten used to it so it doesn't bother me too much anymore though when I first played FFX I wanted to scream and throw my controller after missing my glyph multiple times in a row
MaLinda Stevens tell me about it! The remaster has slightly dodgey controls as well so replaying it recently nearly sent me over the edge! I gave up on the lightning bolts as well in the remaster because apparently you now have to go to a specific crater and dodge the bolts in a specific way because it’s glitched! No Onion Knight for Lulu this time round!
Yea I noticed it was way more difficult in the remaster......I used to get the 200 bolts first try with no problem on the PS2 version but this time it took me FOREVER
All of the cloister of trials bull can go flip itself. Just gimme a fight instead.
Welcome Rosie! I think you fit the team dynamic very well!
My bit for skipping in the underwater part in MGS2. Rob knows
You can restart restart last event in burnout in easydrive menu Nath...
Holy shit... Thank you
I'm so glad it wasn't just me who didn't know! Happy to be corrected!
Parts I like to skip are the long dialog bits in the Metal Gear Solid series when you played the series so much and already know the ins and outs its nice to shave off time but still keep the cool cut scenes in place
For me. The Ellie Section in the Last of Us and the MJ sections in Spiderman.
The Ellie section was important to her character development
But I hated the Character through out the entire game, so being forced to play as her was so lame imo. All she did the whole game was talk to much and break immersion when she ran infront of enemies when I was stealthing. More character development was not needed for her imo
Ofcourse, that why it was a mistake to include her in the game in the first place. The story would have been great if the story was about Joel making taking the cure (in bottle form to the scientists).. Straight forward story sure but im sure ND could have made it interesting with ought introducing a useless character.
@@adamshalashaska5698 A mistake to include her in the first place? Lmao you're hilarious
Demyx Hollow Bastion fight in KH2, blitz ball story section in FFX, demon battle ship in Rogue Galaxy and the last section in FF Type-0
Damn Rosie has some brilliant work experience.
Rosie seems a really great addition to your team chaps, and comes across as so natural talking on camera - I rarely bother commenting on stuff online as I'm always more of a passive viewer of the channel, but I'm making an exception here as I think she'd be a great permanent asset to the Access team!
The desmond part were the most important it gave the game connection and part of a bigger story now theres basically no story and its boring
snorlax games Same. Haven't bothered with an AC game since Black Flag.
That's how I felt about it all as well. I like Shawn and Rebecca...but they're not enough to tether a story down. Origins seems to have brought back some of the present day interest, if you ever find it on sale.
It's way better now. Origins is better than all other previous AC games IMO.
Desmond was good his dad should have been the sacrifice
Ahhhh, Rosie's first video! Amazing. You quickly became one of my favourites on the channel. Geeky perfection. And you always seem like you are having the most fun EVER!!!
Give Astro Bot Rescue Mission the attention it deserves goddammit !!
We're on it!
I'd love to see them cover more VR games in general. I just bought the Creed/Superhot PSVR bundle yesterday and took today off to explore the world of VR. So far I am really enjoying it!
1) The part where you control Ashley in Resident Evil 4.
2) The swimming section in Metal Gear Solid 2.
3) Most QTEs. Thank goodness Spider-Man had an option to switch them off.
Rosie's ace!!
The Fade on Origins is great! Turning into a mouse to sneak in holes, a Golem to bash through walls etc, its Inquisition where its tedious.
ROSIE!!! Does this call for a caddicarus collaboration? 🤔
Just wanna point one thing out Nath: Burnout paradise does have a restart function for races. In your Quickaccess menu (right on the D-pad) you can restart your last race without having to drive back.
So much confidence from Rosie... good job
That bit from Zone of the Enders 2 where you have to find some dude in a LEV in a random container and escort him out of the enemy ship.
Or the time you have to protect some town from a battle between some LEVs and some spider things
Or the train part
Or the part after the battle with ken where you have to SLOWLY make your way through some mine field
Or that time where you have to escort an entire LEV army
...
But, hey! the remaining 15 minutes of the game are really good
LOW GEAR, HIGH GEAR!
Never use Joe Chin's cahins on them!!!
Those acid trip nightmare levels in games. When things get weird and because the main character has somehow been exposed to some hallucinogenic.
Guys check out Rosie's TH-cam channel 'Professor Juice' it's AWESOME!
Desmond is the most important bit of Assassins creed, oh man!!!!
I knew you weren't big AC fans, but he's extremely important and I miss the modern day in AC Games...
Burnout Paradise, restart instantly using the menu brought up by pressing right on the D pad.
............ awkward moment for him 😓
I was just about to say this. I restarted quite often and he played it without this .......dayum.
I was screaming this in my head! It has been that way in both versions.
The bit in Metal Gear Solid 2 where you have to swim with Emma underwater. Then have to clear the way for her with your sniper rifle.
Basically anything Emma related.
The bed of chaos from darksouls 1
I have loads, but one that pops to mind is the floating hands towards the end of Twilight Princess (where you have to take the orbs)
Trailing missions in assassins creed, oh wait
*that's the entire game*
6:09 Hollie's face with Nate's attempt of joke! XD XD XD
Why is it I’m the only one who liked Desmond?
You're not. I liked him a lot
The future bits tying everything together is why I liked it so much. Once they took it out I’ve been totally meh about the series, till this new one. I’m really excited for it.
you aren't sadly, because he's barely a character
THAT DRAGONAGE MAGE MISSION IS LITERALLY WHY I NEVER FULLY REPLAYED DRAGONAGE FOR YEARS! Literally thatsa thw first mod i got when i got the pc version, that took me HOURS my first playthrough.
"Rosie who was brave enough to step in front of the camera"...... She has her own channel, Professor Juice, and she used to star in her brothers videos, Caddicarus..... so its not like shes a complete newbie to the you tube scene!
TH-cam commenters can be vicious though if you change things suddenly on them. So it's still pretty cool of her to do it.
Oh yeah I understand that but it was weird introducing her as if shes never been in front of a camera before!
Of course! But jumping in unscripted with a few minutes notice in a strange office is still pretty good going! We just wanted to say she was awesome
Ah right, that makes a little more sense.... she is awesome lol!
@@PlayStationAccess Aaww thanks puddings!!
Rosie seems right at home! Fits into the team dynamic perfectly!
Damn, I didn't expect to see Professor Juice on here, awesome!
When Hollie said DAO, my first thought was the Orzammar or the Deep Roads, but that’s because I just block that section of fade out like it doesn’t exist.
Rosie, you are just the right amount of awesome.
As soon as i saw the title The Fade immediately sprung to mind xD
I've played through Origins at least 10 times and every time my heart sinks when the circle looms on the horizon and i have to speak to that mouthy templar on the dock.
What? You don't enjoy traumatizing him through Morrigan? O-o
Yay, hello rosie \o/
Nut
I've never understood the animus (sorry I couldn't resist) against the fade section in Dragon Age, I personally really like it. I like the change of pace and the new dynamic, it makes for an excellent mid game palate cleanser.
Stealth sections with other characters in the new Spider-Man game would be my pick.
Andrei Bodea but those stealth sections are some of the best "forced stealth" sections in any game....i mean who else gets a cool ability to make spidey take care of their problems?
@@aliciafurman2935 I know. I mean, who would like to be Spider-Man and take care of problems, when you can be someone who tells Spider-Man to take care of problems?
Andrei Bodea but....story? These odd sections are necessary in games to further the story. As far as stealth sections go this is the best non stealth game stealth section. Better than the castle in OoT right?
Stealth sections in ANY action game (besides Uncharted 4)
Right? If there's only one complaint i have with that game it would be those stupid, unnecessary levels. It called "Spider-Man" so let me play as SPIDER-MAN!!! There was nothing fun about those parts and they really just kinda killed the emergence. Especially that part where you have to get Miles past Rhino......uugh, talk about tedious. And its a damn shame cuz the rest of the game is absolutely fantastic.
I have a similar issue to Nath, but sort of reversed. In Just Cause 3, if you fail the races, you can instantly go to the start and retry, but if you succeed, you have to stay where the race ends and make your way back to where you were.
I do wonder how caddicarus feels about this....
6:10 Hollie's shift from happy professional to speechless horror was amazing.
Rosie is awesome! Can we keep her?
Really niche one here: StarFox adventures, that bit where you had to carry the timed bomb up a series of platforms while giant balls kept on trying to crush you. Must have taken me weeks when I first played it
I was really hoping that the second Dave said Fortnite, that he was going to follow up with the words "the entire game."
I'd personally love to skip the repeated missions ib MGS V and replace them with the remenants of the story that were ripped out of it.
Agreed!
I'm pretty sure Dave and Nate actually enjoy the game since they uploaded quite a few videos of it. Unless that changed.
I thought he was going to say the building part.
Rosie is my favorite crossover of my favorite UK channels. We love you Rosie
Finally someone who understands my contempt of the Fade.
I usually end up leaving the tower for last simply because I'm putting off going to the Fade lol
@@malindastevens1016 it's the only part I still use a guide for cause I just simply can't be bothered lol
Yea I looked a guide up my first time through, after that thankfully I remembered for the most part except for one area (can't remember which boss it was now though been awhile since I played)
Finally? Did you just now come across someone else talking about the game?
@@bjchit yes, very little of my friends have played dragon age
I'd say, the compulsory Blitzball section in Luca, FFX - uh!!! My OCD compels me to win, and its doable, but its so fiddly and hard and you can't skip cutscenes when you try again!!!
non skip cutscenes in FF X, absolutely detest when games do that, and remember that several of the cutscenes are over a minute long, my first playthrough the game I'd no idea how long each area would take so couldn't just play for half an hour I had to schedule an hour or more to do an area, the worst of the worst was at the top of the mountain with the hard seymour boss and the almost 3 minute non skippable cutscene before him, nice one square!!!
❤ Love Rosie! I demand more of her!! 😡
😊
That part in Tomba! 2 where you have to collect the seeds of strenght with a superquick underground mining cart
