    At the place i work we use VeRSis curve tracer and it definitely helps a lot with most of the repairs, especialy when it comes to diagnosing bad ICs, also with the curves memorized there is no need to keep an working module around. These things are amazing.
    One thing i don't know is how accurate those curve tracers can be, like, are some more accurate than others, some problems some tracers can see but others can't.
    Great content as always.
    Cheers!

      Thanks! I havent noticed to much difference between cheap vrs expensive tracers to be honest. They all pretty much look the same to me (assuming your using the same settings and test points). I want to design my own cheap one here soon for fun if I can ever get up on work.

    Can you increase your voice audio level? The music audio level is good. Thanks for sharing with us.

    Is this "ball grid array" attachment chip ? You are very good at your works. 👍

      Thank you for the comments. Its not quite BGA but its similar. BGA would be this one th-cam.com/video/bvbbxWZMxHU/w-d-xo.html

    Was wondering your opinion on the matter of 33888 replacement . Solder paste vs conventional solder & let it float vs application of top pressure to seat it ? I've had mixed results personally , then again i don't work with a preheater like you do . Thanks for your input as always .

      I havent been using the preheater these days, takes too long to heat it up. Just 2 hot air guns from the top. I use both regular 63/37 and low melt solder paste. Don't see too much difference there but usually I will float it some and then apply pressure from top. Sometimes it will bridge a input or two and you have to lift it and flux it a little more but I feel it still works better then not applying the downward pressure.
      Im going to make me a template for it and try to apply paste more evenly to see if it helps (eventually)

    Hello, very interesting video, thank you. Can you tell me the PWM frequency the field control should work at please? Looks to be about 400hz but not sure.

      Im not sure. I'll take a look at it next time.

      @@ecurepair Very much appreciated. By chance, you wouldn't happen to know the PWM signal for the Pentastar fan would you? Trying to figure out how to control one without the benefit of a vehicle, so nothing to measure from. Thanks.

    thank you i need the name of software please

      The link to the tool is in the description. Its a fault tracer from uCore Electronics, the software goes with the device. I dont think you can use it without a registered tool attached to it.

    can we do the test with diode mode ? or ohms mode ?

    • @ecurepair
      @ecurepair  ปีที่แล้ว

      yea but its best to just actuate it. Sometimes even curve traces will show it as good but it wont switch.
