Really proud of this Vlog. It's rare when I say I'm "Proud" of a Vlog, but this one really gives you a glimpse as close as I can into my actual life, and how we interact and enjoy life. Hope you guys enjoy it!
+FitnLovinit if I had to choose Mt. Evans because the drive was so fun stopping every little bit to check out the scenery and you obviously have unlimited time at the summit where as Pikes Peak your stuck in the train which is cool, but then you only have 30min at the summit. Both will blow your mind!
Not on this trip but we did when we drove to the top of Mt. Evans! If you go through my channel you can find the Vlog it’s a couple before this one! We stopped at like 9,000ft and I walked around for like 30 seconds and got so winded I had to sit down. Lol. Once we got to the top I was fine but the altitude did affect me driving up Mt. Evans!
@@Martin_Moore interesting how 14,000 feet didn't bother you but 9,000 feet did. We camped at 13,000 feet once and I tossed and turned all night with shallow sleep and projectile vomited the next morning.
Yeah I thought for sure once we reached the summit I’d be a wreck but I was totally fine. Lol. I have no clue why or why not altitude affects people. Ha. How did you camp that high up?? That must have been rough!
@@Martin_Moore We were hiking over Lamarck Col pass in the Sierra Nevadas and we lost part of the trail during the bolder-hopping. We were rapidly losing daylight so we made camp on a ledge until morning. We were only acclimated to 8000 to 9000 feet all week with the exception of the occasional 10,000-12,000 foot passes, so it was not a good idea. But we had little choice by then. An hour or two at that height isn't dangerous but 12+ hours without acclimating could cause cerebral edema, pulmonary edema, etc.
Thanks for sharing your video! I tried driving up several years ago only to find out that I am afraid of heights. Taking the train is something I think I could do.
+Semsem Eini on the Cog Railway excursion we were fine. When we drove to the top of Mt. Evans we got out around 10,000ft. for a break, I ran around for about 30 seconds and was winded. You should be fine so long as you aren't forcing yourself to breath heavily, worst case scenario you just have to sit down for a min.
I'm going to COS in late May and I think I'd like to do this. I'll only have a couple days to spend there so if anyone has tips on what else to see, where to stay and eat, etc I'd appreciate it. Any of the town cool to check out? Next is Denver but I have to go here first so I'm trying to make the most out of my two days!
+Tony Gareth the entire little city where the cog railway is is awesome. You can spend the rest of the afternoon there for lunch putzing around shops. Denver is amazing!
+ebob1967 not awkward at all. If you're in Denver absolutely so it. Literally one of the most incredible experiences I've done in my life. You feel like you're on top of the world. If you can swing both and have a car, driving to the top of Mt. Evans is also unreal. That and the Cog Railway at Pikes Peak will be two amazing experiences on your trip!
cool vlog man give me a god idea on what to expect. ... I'm going to Denver in two days and I'm planning on going here. Question ... you think they have a problem with flying a drone from up there ?I have my mavic pro and I would love to fly it up there. Your input is very appreciated.
+dripmode yes!!!! You're gonna love this man! If you can swing it In the same trip drive up Mt. Evans also. Two totally different experiences! I don't think it would be a problem flying the Mavic. You've only got about a 1/2 hr layover with the Cog Railway before they board and you head back down. Driving up Mt. Evans you've got all the time you could want. I also did a Vlog on that. You can watch my whole Denver Vlog playlist.
+David K OMG. I bet just gorgeous with the snow. The summit is probably intolerable. Lol. But if dressed appropriately. Good call, might have to go back now in winter. 👍🏻👊🏻
I see you gave _Jen_ a chance to put on the right -shoes-...lol. and right when I was thinking you should of searched for *pokémon*, you pull out your phone... _funny_. also, that was a nice vlog, I enjoyed it.
It's fun to see how someone else's trip up the Pikes Peak Cog Train was. We actually went not that long after you did. Please check out our video when you can, for a kid's perspective: th-cam.com/video/bYTrd_5THfs/w-d-xo.html
+Reek Rico I just showed Jen your comment. 😆🤣. She's fully aware post Vlog she comes off pissy. lol. She was just not feeling me Vlogging that day. Lol. So funny this is like the only Vlog she gets comments like. She's def normally not like that. 😆 thanks for watching my friend!
Don't let Colorado warm weather Fool you. If you forget to wear a sweater jacket best believe you're spending $50 at the top of that mountain for one.😂😂 Especially when you have people that come visit from colder climates not rolling their windows up when you get above the clouds🤣😎
Damn dude it's only been live for like 2min.lol always appreciate you watching! I was actually really proud of this Vlog. Really captured me and Jen's everyday and i felt I portrayed my life spot on in this one. Didn't think It was going to turn out as well as I think it is.
+Derrick Rischman thank you Derrick. That really really means a lot. I just wanna create fun content for people to zone out on for 10min in their day, and share my life and my creativity. So I appreciate you watching and taking the time to say that man. 👊🏻
Wow it must have closed really soon after we visited. I hope they can find a way to fund it, it’s such an incredible experience. I’ve always wanted to do it again. :(

Lived in Colorado back in the 70's. What a beautiful state.
That was before Texans and the far right made their home here.
Nice video. How long did it take to go up the mountain?
did you like Mt. Evan's or Pike's Peak better? I'm trying to decide which 14er to do. We are staying in Colorado Springs but will drive.

Did you feel any negative effects from the altitude? (headache, nausea, breathing problems, etc)

Wow!!! Good to know! Bet it was still an amazing trip.
Wonderful. I wanted to see a end-to-end video and this fit the bill. I hope to ride those rails sometime soon.
You’re gonna love it! Can’t convey enough how incredible the entire experience is!
Nice vid. Thanks. This guy is funny. I like people being real people. Great job.
Thank you! I always enjoy this Vlog, crazy how well its done for people searching for the Cog Railway! Hope you got to ride it!

I like how to film trains and well I am all ready doing it for many trains especially the pikes peak cog railway.

I was thinking about doing this when I take a trip out west this summer. Just wondering how awkward it would be to do this by myself.

+David K OMG. I bet just gorgeous with the snow. The summit is probably intolerable. Lol. But if dressed appropriately. Good call, might have to go back now in winter. 👍🏻👊🏻

Yazzz! You're gonna love it! I think I used my iPhone and a point and shoot, I didn't bring my big Nikon for this Vlog.
@@Martin_Moore wow impressive bro! I'm pumped! I missed out on pikes THREE times. This will FINALLY be my first!!

Too bad they closed it forever
Wait what?!?
Martin Moore they’re thinking about making a sales tax to save it.
Martin Moore it’s been closed for like a year and a half.
Wow it must have closed really soon after we visited. I hope they can find a way to fund it, it’s such an incredible experience. I’ve always wanted to do it again. :(
Martin Moore yeah I made the mistake of going on December 27th. 60mph wind gusts at 15degrees. Never felt anything like it lol.
good vdo but your gf attitude quite a ruin your nice vdo
*wife
Martin Moore, oh sorry :) Wife😖
Lol. It’s ok. She didn’t like me going to the edge. Didn’t wanna see her husband die Vlogging. 😜
