We’re going to have a segment on Ravens vs Steelers every day this week and nothing new will be said the following days, but maybe 1 total segment on some of these other games lol this show definitely has its favorites when it comes to talking about teams. Makes sense but wouldn’t mind hearing their thoughts on games like the Texans/Chargers or Vikings/Rams and not just a quick 2 minute segment on Friday which we’ll probably get.
As the Steeler fan, the only thing I can hope for is that the team hears all this talk about Tomlin all week, and then decides to go all out and play 110% to get Tomlin the win. That’s their only shot. And it may be legitimate because the team has done that in the past to help Tomlin keep his above 500 streak.
I really hope so, so many disgruntled fans ready to drive him out of town. Tomlin has earned better than that, and I hope the team executes this weekend
Yea. If it’s somewhat close in the fourth quarter then we have a shot, cause so much pressure will be on Lamar not to lose again. We have to use that pressure to our advantage. This would be a somewhat historic upset.
Yo, I've never commented on these before, but this group is the ONLY group I seriously watch for sports takes anymore. Everyone else is just gossip and entertainment. Doesn't matter the take, I don't care, I would argue the EXACT same way with my boys back in the day. 😂
9:32 i know ppl bout to yell at me.. but Purdy played the best, out of all the playoff QBs, against that beast of a team. And Nick gave him zero credit.
And people are still dismissing it like it means nothing. Absolutely blind when it comes to Lamar when everyone makes fun of similar players like harden, Westbrook, Embiid and mocked Peyton Manning until he managed to get it done
There is nothing wrong with assuming he is going to play a bad game when you have more evidence of him playing bad playoff games rather than good ones 🤷♂️ until proven otherwise.
The Eagles have defeated two teams the last two weeks without Hurts, and Barkley last week. The Packers just lost to the Bears who had lost 10 games in a row before losing to the Bears last Week and losing their Quarterback Jordan Love.
That Lamar segment is why this is the best sports debate show no question. Both making reasonable points and backing them with facts instead of just trying to shout over each other 🔥
Nick keep this take, you're truly the only inspiration for the ravens these days. Bru you have been knighted into the flock. Wildest, the legend continues, #1 host in sports debate 🎉
The way Nick is with Lamar is the way everyone was about Lebron. It’s the same thing - it’s almost as if and I’m guilty - no one wants to really believe what they see and if he ever actually does all this insane stuff at the highest level we will no longer have any takes. It’s truly fascinating
Ur right but lebron never underperform in playoffs his number are crazy only time was 2011 rest of the years he been amazing 💀. Not the same thing they treating him like embied can’t go superbowl underperform playoff .
Brou gets so in his feelings about Lamar. You cannot say he was good last year against KC in the playoffs, and you cannot just throw out all of Lamars past miscues just because he had 1 good game against Pittsburgh a few weeks ago.
Brou Lamar played awful against the Chiefs. I don’t blame him for the Flowers fumble but Lamar was missing throws all game and threw a late game interception in triple coverage. He also had a fumble as well.
This is purely constructive guys (Bru) but maybe sometimes when you ask someone a question let them answer it before shouting a new reply before they can even say anything. Love the show
the way the Steelers are currently failing to utilize Fields is exactly how Texas are currently failing to utilize Manning. both have great starters and the best backup(s) in the country. both could easily dominate the dual double threat QB system. per usual, Arthur Smith fizzles out towards the end of the season just like Kliff Kingsbury, Kliff has improved better this year. Steve Sarkisian fizzles out towards the end of the game and plays safe football which causes closer games and eventually losses.
nick was wrong about the bears ( making the SuperBowl) , eagles ( funk watch ) , vikings ( pumpkin mode or whatever that is ), the lions (very weird small hand talk ) , broncos and bo nix and went 0-3 on upset alert last week the confidence on this guy to act like he knows everything. Patrick mahomes hasn't had half season lamar has had this year the disrespect is crazy.
Nick literally says it doesn’t matter that Lamar threw for 300 becuase the team only scored 10 points, the literally 3 minutes later says it doesn’t matter that they scored 34 points because he only threw for 150.
Most of Nick's takes are absurd but I agree with him here. Yes the Ravens should smoke Pittsburgh but you have to take into account Lamar's playoff woes. This is a divisional opponent and could be more of a difficult game than people may think. I would take the points with Pittsburgh knowing that they will probably lose but I think they can cover the spread
@@King__Tone Didn't watch the video? Brou said he didn't play bad. And his excuse for him last year is that he still wasn't that good of a passer. Now he's a very good passer according to him so it'll be very interesting to see what the excuse is this time.
Depends if zay flowers plays but this is the very first year lamar has 2 actually good receivers to throw to when the defense runs cover 0 and full rushes him with the house. Lamar's struggles have been a much bigger function of defenses scheming against weaker receivers. That same thing has happened to the bills this year, when the ravens demolished josh allen defensively. Sometimes it feels like we forget that qbs do need guys to get open. Even josh allen last year put the ball right where it needed to be and diggs couldnt catch it to beat the chiefs. Even mahomes has had the greatest tight end of all time, and per nick's words, maybe the best playoff receiving weapon of all time. Lamar has made many mistakes no doubt, but to act like lamar's games have been like darnold's game against the lions where darnold couldnt even hit the open guys is just unfair.
Love Brou, but he fails to mention one major factor missing in the last Ravens game against the Steelers: no Larry Ogunjobi, the Steelers' run stopper, who was out with an injury, so there was a lot more division about guarding the run or pass, which is why Derrick Henry had over 150 yards rushing. Now with a way to neutralize that a bit with Larry O back, this will be a true test of a matchup to see if Lamar can do it again.
@@King__Tone that's the Ravens' problem to deal with, just like it's the Steelers' problem to deal with Pickens and his lack of production the past 2 games.
@@King__Tonewhy was the game even that close for it to come down to FG kicks? Oh cuz Lamar had a 66 passer rating and missed throws all over the place.
Lamar is bad in the playoffs and bad against the Steelers as well. Steelers have been bad in the playoffs the last however many years. The game will come down to if the Steelers stop Derrick Henry.
I don’t usually agree with Nick, but I do agree with him here. Until Lamar shows it in the playoffs, it doesn’t exist. If he does, power to him. If not, the narrative lives on.

Why is it cool when Mahomes throws for 150 yards and scores under 20 points?
Some would say he has more leeway with the past success… I think the opposite. He has a standard and he should measure up to it.
Great QB, no doubt, but still.
Who says it’s “cool”? would love some clarification so I can answer and would also love to know what game you are referring to cause he has never had a game less than 150 yards in his 130 game career (other than a game against Denver in 2019 he didn’t finish and only had 11 passes in a blowout win scored 30 so that doesn’t fit ur criteria anyways )

the way the Steelers are currently failing to utilize Fields is exactly how Texas are currently failing to utilize Manning. both have great starters and the best backup(s) in the country. both could easily dominate the dual double threat QB system. per usual, Arthur Smith fizzles out towards the end of the season just like Kliff Kingsbury, Kliff has improved better this year.
And you fail to mention the first lost this season to the Steelers Tucker missed 2 fg and a extra point which changed the momentum of the game
@@King__Tone that's the Ravens' problem to deal with, just like it's the Steelers' problem to deal with Pickens and his lack of production the past 2 games.
