Sorry about the random song change in the intro. There were some copyright issues with the first song.

Question, i need to access my oil sending unit hole because my brass fitting snapped when try to loosen the switch. Have a brass thread stuck in there. Access is super duper limited , do i need to remove alternator to get to it?

Did you learn mechanics in a Trade or Vocational school? Unfortunately lots of High School shop classes have been closed and that’s too bad. We need various skilled laborers and technicians of all types. I can only hope our Educators and Politicians recognize this. Your doing a good job with your videos.
Are you going to install the rebuilt tub onto the frame first or re-build and put back the 2.5 engine back into the rust bucket? Thanks.

I had no interest in cars when I was I high school despite us having a pretty good auto repair program. While in college for engineering I bought a Jeep because I always thought they were cool. My outlook on cars took a complete 180, I went from not knowing how to open the hood to wanting to know the inner working of every component. My Junior year of college I re-routed all of my electives to be automotive based courses and then exclusively applied in the auto industry after graduation. I have learned how to work on cars by either being taught by a good friend or through trial and error. Fortunately my degree in engineering gives me the physics behind why these components work and I will say that knowing the "why" certainly makes learning the "how" go faster. Truth is, in many of these videos I am learning right along side the viewers and it has been a blast seeing comments full of tips and tricks coming from people much wiser than me! The new engine went back into the rust bucket. I still rely on the jeep as a daily driver so the restoration will happen in parallel for now. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment! There is much more to come!

Thank you very much for your detailed comment. I think a lot of your TH-cam subscribers will find the background of your education, experience and eventual enthusiasm in Engineering and auto operational mechanics of how things work and why they work inspiring.

You should have told people to disconnect the positive battery terminal first. That wire on back of alternator goes straight to battery and is going to spark big time if you tough ground with your wrench.

@@JeepSheepTV yea but the people watching your video may not share that sentiment. At least they can read the comments to know what to beware of.

@@moccasinmarine lol I had the whole engine bay torn apart. I don't even think my battery was in the same room.

You're missing the point. You're presenting yourself as an authoritative source for novice diy mechanics. I'm not someone who actually needs your tutorial. I just watch almost anything with Jeep in the title. Some people do need advice. Those are the people that probably need to be told to disconnect the battery. Your target audience may appreciate a safety first approach. No offense intended. Good luck with your channel.

@@Todd_Walker I do appreciate your feedback. At this point in the project the battery had been out of the Jeep for about a week and I just didn't think of it. I do have a note in the description recommending that the battery be disconnected. I'll keep pushing forward to make the best videos that I can.

    This would fit a 90 2.5 Cherokee?
