  • Are you confused on all of these crazy PCP connectors? Like any new Pyramyd Air employee is? No worries - Pyramyd Air has a great tool - PCP Hookup tab, available right on our web site. It solves the very problem Tom describes in this video.
    When you are on the PCP airgun page, just click the PCP Hookup tab and our web site will do the rest of the work for you and let you know if you need any adapters to connect YOUR airgun to YOUR choice of air source.
    I mean - who has the time choose the right connector from this list?

    Excellent and informative. If Pyramidair are available here in the UK I shall be purchasing from them!
    As an ageing chap, I can say that my days with my FX hand pump are coming to an end. Thanks Tom for your fine video.

    The "big rubber hose" is a Gates hydraulic hose with J.I.C. swivel fittings. It has just as much braided stainless as the other one except the rubber is inside and outside. Hydraulic hoses are not meant for gasses. A 5800psi hydraulic hose will actually withstand a higher static gas pressure.

    Great info but I’d have like to have seen close ups of the connectors laid out to show what order they all go together before they are connected.

    Here's our needs: No “slide-blow-back”; both semi + full auto; pistol or rifles=without stock/butt; detachable sights; picatinny for red dot laser; .22 caliber or larger with heavy grain pellets or BBs; for power not speed with easy loading, with no extra magazines and easy “field stripping”. Threaded barrel for real good suppressor is a must! We already have the “Steel Storm” on order. Looks and replicas mean nothing. It’s “hard-core” basics please. No pressure! If you or any of your channel readers can help, that would be great! T.I.A. Do they make a Nitro Piston Air Pistol or Rifle fully automatic?
    At 83, seven Vietnam Veteran We know NOTHING about air guns. HELP!
    We can use an empty 3 car garage as an indoor range. Training for inside self-defense between 7 to 21 yards, stationary and moving.

    i feel as though it would get expensive having to keep on buying tanks of air to fill up the guns. if it wasn't for that i would definitely consider getting one

    • @paulreynolds5047
      @paulreynolds5047 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      One of them tanks might last 5 or 6 months you would have to shoot a lot to empty one of them.
      Like a keen target shooter but for a guy who goes out at the weekend shootings pigeon rabbits and so on will last ages.
      What price do you put on your hobby I would recommend to anyone wanting to get into theses PCP guns if you don't have the money buy second hand.

      Check the PCP Hookup tab on PyramydAir's web site. It will tell you what you need (if anything) to connect to your air source.

    I assume there is an o ring in the foster quick connect. Can it be replaced, does it need to be lubricated?

    How many times can you fill a gun with different sized tanks?
    I realize each gun is different and each tank is different but when attempting to buy a gun I don’t see specs for these things.

  • @bwghall1
    @bwghall1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    yes, where did the air come from. did it come from a high covid 19 area in the first instance. think about it. you have just bought a secondhand tank or gun with air in it. from where did you buy it.

      You dont think 200bar would kill a virus? YOU might want to think about your statement again... nothing can live in 200bar.

    @pyramydair Is there a way to fill a Benjamin Marauder with a shop air compressor and if so what fitting is needed?

    • @pyramydair
      @pyramydair  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      A shop compressor usually tops out at 120psi, so you would need a booster to get to the 3000psi that a Marauder would need. This is what you would need to supplement a shop compressor. www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Air_Venturi_Power_Booster_4500_psi_Unit/7367

    Is there a fill adapter for scba tanks with the snap change valve assembly instead of the more common cga connection? My service predominantly uses this type and i was unable to find an adapter anywhere.

      I think you need a high pressure air pump or compressor. You can fill the tank usually at a scuba or paintball gun store.

    @pyramydair I'm about to buy a Hatsan bt65 rb-w (2n hand) and a pressure tested 10L 300 bar scuba tank (Din).
    The question tho; do i need a manometer on the tank or could i use say this directly to the hatsan fillvalve, like this one; www.game-on.no/products/fylleadapter-til-pcp-rifler
    Or do i either need a manometer on the tank or use say the hatsan charging kit; www.game-on.no/products/hatsan-at44-charging-kit-dykkertank that already have some kind of manometer on it?

    • @pyramydair
      @pyramydair  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Chris. While an output gauge on the hose/tank is not absolutely necessary, it does help just to make sure the gun and fill tank are matching up with one another. But in general, so long as there is a gauge on the gun (and of course, the BT65 has a gauge) you would be able to fill without an inline gauge.

    • @-Rambi-
      @-Rambi- 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      A+ For a swift answer.
      So the 100 extra bar pressure in the scuba tank (300bar) will not automatically overfill my pcp tank (200bar) as long as i keep a close eye on the manometer on the rifle and stop when it reaches the mark.
      Never filled from a pressurized tank before so i was not sure if it was an instant on/off 300bar no matter how careful i was with the handle.

    • @pyramydair
      @pyramydair  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you will be able to throttle the air come out of the tank using the valve. Just go slow the first few times until you get the hang of it.
