Cheers Sean! I think kitbashing and converting brings an extra dimension to the hobby. Loved your ACW conversions, they brought real life and character to the figures ☺
Always good for the confirmation! I've heard this from quite a few people over the years and, combined with the Sven Hassel book covers, decided that shouty and pointy NCOs were definitely the way to go for my Bolt Action armies :)
Is kit bashing allowed for play? I'm new to Bolt action. For instance , can I give a Fallschirmjager an Stg 44 from a Waffen SS kit and be allowed to play that unit in the field? Or do you have to stick with whatever is provided on each respective sprue?
Hey thanks for the question. It's definitely allowed yes. In Bolt Action, an assault rifle is an assault rifle and an SMG is an SMG in game terms. So if you want to use the AR option for your Fallschirmjager and equip them with Stg44's rather than the FG42, they still fire the same in game so same number of dice and have the same additional rules. It's a good way of adding some different weapons to your sections and giving them a more 'veteran' look. As long as the model is equipped with the type of weapon (rifle, assault rifle, sub machine gun etc...) you're good to go. Hope that helps ☺
No worries buddy, glad it helped! It's a great way of mixing and matching different kits, giving them variety but this won't impact on game play at all ☺
Volksgrenadiers! I will build them MYself! Have you fielded them. Dario here from Dario'S Comicschool. I have started making Videos for Bolt Action. Soon I will showcase my Minis!
I have used them in a couple of games and they've either been good or bad. They were really enjoyable to build though, a bit like the Volkssturm and Gebirgsjager 😃👍
Great update Ste, love what you've done with the conversions, i love doing that myself, as per my last ACW unit

Six boxes to make 10 miniatures. Now that's some crazy expensive unit 😜
It's a good job I have lots of Bolt Action bits and pieces in my bits boxes! This still remains one of my favourite parts of the hobby 😀
Very nice kitbashing mate
Thanks dude, much appreciated! It's one of my favourite parts of playing Bolt Action, putting together unique and personalised units ☺
As an ex infantry man myself I can indeed confirm NCO's do indeed point and shout alot.

I swear I could have decked my NCO if he gave me one more knife-hand, YOU HAVE FINGERS YOU KNOW !
Nice conversion. The plural of Volksgrenadier is VolksgrenadierE. The "e" is pronounced like the latin "e"

Great conversions! Must have taken some time?
Cheers Jonny! About two hours invested in these little dudes so far. I got them primed today and will be painting them over the weekend ☺
