After I watched Jesse J, I watched Prince's official version. You will understand why she sang parts of the song when you do. I saw he was using a white guitar like Prince used so in a way it was like a tribute to him. Very emotional.

She is definitely peeking right now. 2018 will be her year. I’m a fan of 2011 Jessie as much as Jessie now but HOT DAMN she is blowing my mind on this show. All these performances being great quality with an amazing band doesn’t hurt either. I will be so sad when the show ends. Regine Velasquez is the best biritera. But, not the best singer. Both are one of the best. Wala talagang Best Singer. They should be regarded as best in their craft. The no. 1 for that particular episode is Hua Chen Yu (aka HuaHua). Song title is "Nunchucks", a re-arrangement of Jay Chou's signature song. He literally transformed the entire song into a whole new work, and he killed it, that's why he got no. 1 for the night. Link for the performance :

Certainly hope that more western singers will take the invitation and join the competition in future seasons. So far we've successfully invited artists from some Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, etc.) in previous seasons. BTW, all contenders are well established professional singers who are elected by a board of electors (all professional musicians in the industry) and invited to the show. To be invited to the show as a contender means that the artist's skills & talents are well acknowledged by other professionals. I was SO excited when Jessie J agreed to join the show. I mean, The Singer has been on since 2013, but not well known in non-Chinese communities. I imagine it would be tough to even get international artists to acknowledge such invitation. Jessie J certainly helped to open the door for internationally renowned artists, and Chinese audiences will be forever grateful to her.

You must watch Jessie J perform Celine Dion "My Heart Will Go On".. As much as Jessie J put her stamp on the song!! She put every ounce of emotion and meaning behind the song! Reason is that Jessie J has been diagnosed with Heart problem when she was younger!! Which is why she didn't perform on Week 8 episode of the The Singer 2018...And she came back not feeling 100% to perform this song so please watch!!

People are so whiny in the comment section. You can support a singer from your country without tearing down others for criticizing them. You can be biased all you want in silent, but don’t get angry when others don’t side with you. Seriously, stop.
I wish Jessie J will sing a full Chinese song as well because most of the challengers and contenders in that show sang Chinese. An example is Dimash Kudaibergen. He sang a Chinese song even it’s not her mother tongue language. Likewise with KZ, she risked herself at this episode. Learning to speak and pronounce with the right diction in Chinese is very hard, but she did it in less than 2 weeks. She might not did it perfectly but still amazing and does filling up the studio in such emotions and touching the audience hearts.

首先，我泱泱大国绝对有能跟JESSIE抗衡的歌手，但绝对不是华晨宇之流，上一届的SANDY，巅峰的阿妹，包括内地的朱桦，谭晶，龚琳娜，黄绮珊等等，有一系列顶尖歌手可以跟JESSIE一较高下，但华晨宇之流压根不是一个档次，就跟KZ一样，水准差的有点太远，音乐无国界，就事论事而已。
其次，JESSIE在这一届的确一骑绝尘，因为这一届SINGER的水准目前来说公认六届最弱。
如果是在往届，JESSIE绝对稳稳前3，但不至于跟其他人拉开这么大差距。
还记得singer18第一集结束后，龚老师微博说的“不是你唱的太好，而是你的对手实在太弱”么？（大体这么个意思，细节有出入）
龚老师绝对有资格这么说，这一届目前来说都是些什么角色？只会耍花腔的KZ和华晨宇？嗓子已毁只会卖情怀的汪峰？还是小嫩芽的张天，苏诗丁？芭乐歌手李圣杰李晓东？水准最高的是李泉，但也是个唱只是为辅的作曲大师。

Jessie J has been giving performances on many incarnations of The Voice and other singing competitiong. They have shown plenty bits of her mentoring on The Voice UK and Australia. I have seen quite a few of her outside of the mainstream and her own songs. For years it's been no secret that she can do it all and they all want her as a vocalist.
Still, I have to say, there were things here that I have never heard from her before. The lows at the start and the "woo-hoo" sounds towards the end. She couldn't keep herself from scatting, which I think is never necessary, but ok...it was restrained enough, I guess. Great rendition. The original is a tad cheesy for my liking, as well.

Actually every performances on this show is great as all the competitors are well-known and experienced. I believe you will think the performances deserves the 1st place after reacting to most of the performances in the show. So sometimes the low ranking doesn't mean the performances are not good, but other performances are too good.
