I agree with MAngel, this feels like a new more mature more polished Jessie J. I was impressed with her restraint and elegance here. Which may have to do with the contest and she's tailoring to the occasion but I really liked that she toned down the runs. She still had some more towards the end but she toned it down so that the story and emotions in the song shone through instead of vocal gymnastics. Although I also agree that there might have been more Whitney than Jessie J but maybe this is a new direction in her style?...She also looked confident, happy and at peace, if that makes sense. She wasn't pushing too hard, or pushing to engage the audience, she was just there to share her gift and the story, which to me is what being an ultimate "diva" in the likes of Whitney, Barbra and Celine, is. Sharing their best, instead of showing it off. Not sure if that made any sense ...

Classy and restrained performance. Glad she repressed the Jessie J things. She used to get a lot of flack for never turning it down. If she had scatted, it would have been ruined. She can do that on that other, one that's not Whitney Houston's song, anyway. Her lower register is better than I remember it from years ago. I am also partial to that. Some really nice delays, too. Loved it! Unfortunately, this show put audio processing on. I heard it less than with KZ, but I can still notice it enough to distract me the second time around. The first time I was completely captivated and didn't catch it. Maybe it's because it's pitch-correction and Jessie J is rarely off-pitch compared to KZ? It's the same amount as on The Voice and all those other shows. Always that metallic clang everywhere...
you should also react to kz singing in that show and please react to Highligts of Jessie j and kz where she met Jessie j in back stage and crying coz she's a fan and she inspires KZ so much they had a friendly competition and KZ Won :)
