- The Avengers: United they stand
Year: 1999
Production companies: Marvel Studios, Saban International, Fox Family Worldwide
The series features a team broadly based on the roster for the 1984 Marvel Avengers spin-off series The West Coast Avengers, composed of the Wasp, Wonder Man, Tigra, Hawkeye, and Scarlet Witch.
On May 21, 2007 Maximum Entertainment released the complete series on Region 2 DVD in the UK. The 2-disc boxset features all 13 episodes of the series. The series remains unreleased on Region 1 DVD. On April 2009, Brightvision entertainment released the first four episodes on an Avengers Collection DVD, which also obtained 4 episodes of Thor and Sub-Mariner from the 1960s Marvel Superheroes animated series. At the moment, only one volume of Avengers has been released but more are to come. Due to the pending sale of Marvel (owners of the characters) to Disney (holders of the series), the current status of the series' DVD release is uncertain. The complete 13 episode 2 DVD set was again released in 2012 by Clear Vision in Region 2. - บันเทิง
I respect this just for the fact that they had antman, wasp and scarlet witch as the prominent avengers that they had been for many years.
As well as other stalwarts like Vision, Hawkeye and Wonder Man. Even if people give Avengers: United They Stand shit, I still enjoyed what the show did, and it had a pretty neat roster of Avengers, even without Steve, Tony, and Thor. At least Steve and Tony made appearances in the series before it got canceled.
So you Respect it for doing the bare minimum lol. That’s like saying “I respect the justice league show for having “Wonder Woman, green lantern & the flash”
well that may be but considering how few avengers shows have shown the heart and core of the team I give it that credit....that said doesn't make the show good and DC animation in general is way better anyway so...@@AvatarM685
(Whispers) Avengers
_Avengers!_
Why are they whispering Avengers? Are they ashamed of the team name or are they trying to seduce me?
The latter.
Nope I remember this
This was a time where DC dominated the superhero animated TV series front
Resulting in the Justice League being the best superhero team and no one knew who the avengers were
Besides if I remember correctly, only Cap appeared in just 1 episode
JUST ONE!
As for iron man and thor, they made no appearance at all
@@spongeyspikes09 ironman made a appearance.
@@christian.corriveau716 never caught that episode
@Warrior Born those were in the 90s JL was on early 2000s
When this show was made, this was a futuristic take on The Avengers in the wake of the success of Batman Beyond.
No, it was set in the modern day.
That’s strange, because the members of the Avengers in the show were modern characters instead of future legacy characters.
@@Anonomous518 Were. And you're correct.
This is basically the West Coast Avengers
they missing moon knight
Now that you mention it! You're right! 😳😳😳
@@mackbeth4903 no because Moon Knight is on the Masters of Evil team.
@@DoctorWhoKage west coast avengers has only been a comic series, although i have to be more specific, moon knight joined with hank pym in issues 21.
@@mackbeth4903 but in this exact cartoon, she's running with the Masters of Evil. Y'all acting like she barely appeared in the show at all. She appeared in that episode where Captain America appeared and the Avengers found themselves fighting the Masters of Evil instead of Ultron like they usually do. Moon Knight was with the Masters of Evil when those Avengers were collaborating with Captain America.
I always liked this series because it gave a new spin on the original avengers. New leader, new team, same old villains. Plus i always found it nice that they realized they aren't the classic avengers and had their own dynamic.
Actually, the team wasn't 'new'. Everybody here had done some decades with the Avengers. Hank & Jan were founders, and Hawkeye, Wanda, Wonderman, and Vision weren't to far behind in joining the team. Falcon & Tigra have been around since the 70's. The problem is that the animators made them look unrecognizable.

@@phillipwattsjr.4714 From what I've seen with this show, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Avengers Assemble are better.
I'll need to dive deeper into it though.
There was plenty of classic Avengers members in this roster though, but people just assumed the Avengers always need Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor. It also doesn't help it didn't get much love at the time too.
New Leaders? Ant Man and The Wasp were there day one way back in the 60s
This was my first introduction to the Avengers as a kid. Didn't even realise this wasn't the original team lol
Hank and Janet were founding members.

That intro is something else.
*NOW THIS IS THE AVENGERS I REMEMBER AS A LITTLE BOY BACK IN JAMAICA!!!* Wonder Man was my favorite character on that show. I used to think that he was the leader of the team back then (I was 7 and I knew nothing of the comics, just the cartoon).
Yes! This was THE AVENGERS Show of all times for us 90's Kids
Even though he spent his episodes in a coma thanks to Ant-Man and Vision.
Pretty sick to know that this aired all the way in Jamacia back in the day
@@EXsoldier141 Yh man, I had no clue this was inaccurate or not the best representation of the mythos or anything. Now I’m finding people saying it was an embarrassment to this name Marvel.
@clayongayle8870 Don't listen to them, bro. Even if that were true, we were kids. The internet didn't really exist. How were we to know? As long as we enjoyed it. That's what matters.

@@jamcalx I thought Moon Knight, 2 Fantastic Four such as Human Torch and Thing, War Machine, Hawkeye and Spider-Woman(Secret War outfit)
Wonderman and Tigra for the MCU!
I agree. I also would have a version of this team be the MCU West Coast Avengers for a Disney + show. Scott Lang and Hope would be the co-leader and you would have White Vision, Warmachine, Wonderman and Tigra.
And Kang
Eh
Tigra would be hard for the simple reason of sex appeal. Tigra is covered in fur, hence why she's always in a bikini; to avoid overheating.
I heard Wonder Man actually is coming to the MCU, and he's being played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, the actor who played Black Manta in the DCEU.
Fucking LOVE this theme. Very synth and upbeat. Feels like a megaman x stage. 🔥
If we had Moon Knight and Mockingbird in the team, then we would have THE West Coast team. Nostalgic series.
Boy had the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers change the game of TV. Every cartoon after had tranformation.
I’d say sailor moon had a hand in it, too. Stock footage made the work cheaper, and transformation scenes fit the bill.
@@Savagewolver I think Sailor Moon was based around the rangers because they weren't suppose to be role models but sex symbols that became pop culture icons.
@@Savagewolver Funny you say that, one of the dub voices for Sailor Moon was the Wasp in this
@@ShadowSonic2 This show, to be honest, is underrated.
@@TriplomatX I remember years ago when the first episodes were put up on TH-cam. The comments were mainly on the madness of making Hank Pym the leader of any Avengers group and how he was always caving to Janet.
"They took a wife beater and made him a henpecked husband?! HILARIOUS!"
I found it a bit amusing, admittedly.
And yet Thor never even appears in this series.
Ryan Brown for a possible Season 2 he was going to appear
And neither did Captain America and Iron Man
Captain America is in episode 6.
Matinalii Oh Awesome! I got to Rewatch this Series, Bro thanks for telling me

With the revival of the X-Men animated series of the 90s as X-Men '97, there's a chance of this Avengers animated series could get a revival.
ASMR AVENGERS WHISPERING
honestly, i thought this show was a fever dream, but the more I watch it the more I remember watching it on fox kids with dinozaurs. I's argue one of the cooler Antman costumes for '90s cartoon
Tigra and Wonderman are the only two missing from the MCU
Theme stuck in my head since I was a kid.
If The Avengers: United They Stand had continue for season 2, Black Widow, Thor, Loki, Beast, Black Panther, Hulk, and Quicksilver would have appear on the animated series.
Only Thor has been confirmed right? i recall references to beast, black panther and hulk.
Loki?
I also heard thoughts there'd be an appearance by the X-Men.
@@BryonYoungblood Well Beast's portrait was seen in the first episode of the series is obvious that he was a former member of the team. Black Panther, Hulk, Namor and Quicksilver's portraits was also seen in the first episode is proof they were also former members of the team and it would be leading to Black Panther, Hulk and Quicksilver making guest appearances for season 2. Namor already made a guest appearance on the show in season 1.
@@jamesthong2508 Yep, along with Steve and Tony appearing too with Steve helping the team against the Masters of Evil, and Tony when they ran into one of Zodiac's plans.
This is what introduced me to them as a kid
I had no idea at the time how big they were going to become
Why is this the only series to EVER have Tigra?
Arin Lewis it also had wonder man as well
Because she's a flop character

The Avengers: United They Stand intro song.
All rights to Marvel Studios, Saban Entertainment (later BVS Entertainment), Marvel Entertainment and Disney Enterprise.
If they didn't basically giv the triad of Captain America', Iron Man, and Thor rhe shaft, this could've worked.
They didn't have the big three because of licensing issues. Back then Marvel was really bad with that shit. FOr example, they gave group A rights to Spider-man shows, group B the rights to Spider-Man merchandise, group C the rights to Spider-Man video games. Also there was supposed to be a 90 Cap series, but marvel went Backrupt. Kinda why This show and SPider-Man: Unlimited never got to season 2
My first introduction to the team!
that my jam
Loved watching this on fox kids back in the day.
This is what introduced me to them
There should be a petition for this version's revival/continuation! Disney, Netflix, Nick, someone
Devin Sears There are way more deserving cancelled Marvel shows than this to actually get a continuation. Spectacular Spider-Man, 1994 Spider-Man, Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Iron Man: Armored Adventures, etc.

BEST AVENGERS OPENING TO DATE. Super epic.
This is why all superheroes shows of dc and marvel a catchy intro with a great beat too it
I always loved this cartoon and I'm so glad that although it lasted only one season, their adventures were continued in comic books based on it. 😊
Well I know the show isn't great but I think the intro was cool
I'm guessing this iteration of the team isn't as fondly remembered, but _goddamn_ is Ultron such a *HAM* in this series.
*Ant-Man:* I'm not perfect, Ultron. And I made you.
*Ultron:* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo!!! IIIIIIIII. AAAAAAAAAAAM. _PERRRRRRRRRRFECT._
Unpopular Opinion (even though I like both EMH and this show equally): Ant-Man and Ultron became my favorite characters in this series because their designs gave me Kamen Rider & Transformers vibes.
This should be MCU phase 4.
this is basically the team. Just Add Winter Soldier, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, and Wolverine

I saw an ad for the toy line in the old Fox kids magazine that I had. Honestly, the toys and some of the designs looked. Those are the best things I could say about the series.
This was my first introduction to the avengers, it was rough round the edges but had potential, too bad it got cancelled, I’m glad it existed though because it did have a few of the current avengers and kind of set the stage for the avengers we know today
Is it bad that I love Janet's ponytail look in this? And that I think Antman having a tiny spaceship on his back is genius!
The ycould have turned these B-listers into beloved big names with just a little effort, but they were too busy selling toys to care making a better show :/
No I loved Janet Van Dyne's Look in this Avengers, She was Extra THICC! As for the Armor I thought it was Awesome it reminded me of Cap's Hologram Shield he used until he got his Trademark Shield back
Marvel was trying to stay afloat around this time and were trying to crawl out of bankruptcy when this show was made. But yeah it was pretty terrible.
@Undrave, also they were too busy mimicking Batman Beyond.
@@UltimateDragon709 Avengers UTS, SSUrfer, and SMUnlimited were wastes during this Bankrupcy time.
39 episodes, that coulda' been used to continue Xmen and/or Spiderman TAS.
We coulda seen the Avengers Formation in a Spiderman episode, (that would feature the team that we saw in that '94 Iron Man episode).
Plus We ALREADY had like 5 episodes in the Fantastic Four show, to feature Frankie/Nova, Surfer, and Galactus.
Honestly, it's not a bad show. It was flawed, yes, but it had cool ideas. The armor could have definitely looked better had it not looked like something from Power Rangers. But the stories were actually pretty good, and Ultron was awesome.
If i say the same about Assemble everyone would laugh at me and they actually do it
you notice how hawkeye always in animated avenger series
I see a lot of arguing about wich Avenger series was the best. Can’t we just all agree that they are all the best 👏❤️😊
Except Assemble.
Wait people are debating which Avengers show is best. I thought everyone likes Earth Mightest Heroes the most.
Uhhh nope
Assemble and this series were absolute dogshit
Earth's mightiest heroes was where it was at
And super hero squad... Let's not talk about that show

Why does the art style look more WildStorm/Image Comics of the 90s than the Marvel comics at the time lol? This Hawkeye wouldnt look out of place in Wildstorm Comics in something like Wild CATS or The Authority.

Earth's mightiest heroes at home:
The on,y show that recognized the west coast avengers
My childhood right here.
I really enjoyed watching this show from this show only I came to know about the avengers
The music reminds me of the XMen Evolution theme
Same era, early 00s.
I remember seeing this and saying “eww who tf are these guys?” Back then if it wasn’t Xmen you didn’t care. 20 years later xmen are nothing and marvel is basically avengers
How come I’ve never heard of this show?
It’s all coming back
I wish they made a reboot of this but without the armor
they had a powerful list of heroes most going to appear in more
Remember The marvel avengers assemble cartoon series which was shown on disney xd(2014/15) has no story of falcon's appearance in Avengers's team and they show this cartoon's first episode for falcon's debut instead of their own series but real reason not found
Why do I get the feeling this is gonna be the new team in the MCU?
Ant man Wasp Spiderman Black panther wonder man falcon america winter soldier wandavision captain marvel and more
the sound is very more than danny efman theme of avengers movies. Listen one more and like
Westsiiiiiiiiiide!
This was like POWER AvenGERS the catchphrase "Its Morphing time!" was replaced by "Avengers Assamble!!" when they put their armors
Avengers Assemble!
You like the Wasp suit from the MCU.
Tigra For Marvel Vs Capcom 5 Also Rouge From Power Stone
literally the west coast avengers BUT hawkeye isn't the leader and mockingbird isn't there
So why is it that everyone looks like it's been drawn by Liefeld, even if that style was all the rage that X-Men had one.
I mean muscles and shoulderpads, even Ultron has two of them.
Does anyone think the Avengers of the MCU would now look like this Avengers?
MIGHTY MORPHING AVENGERS!

I would happily ignore this and Spider-Man unlimited from the 90s cartoon continuity
This show is better than batman tas and justice league.
This was based on west coast avengers
*A v e n g e r s*
Did not having the the big 3 on as series regulars hurt the show? In the very early JLA comics in Barve & The Bold, they had the Justice League fight threats with Supe or Bats.
Don't judge this show TOO harshly. It had to compete with both Power Rangers AND the growing anime trend in Saturday morning cartoons.
It was on the same channel as Power Rangers... and it was also co-produced by Saban, who also made Power Rangers.
@@JohnLane_aka_Jane_Lane_fanboy They even re-used a lot of the actors from the Fox X-Men cartoon.
wha-
My first introduction to the Avengers was a video game called “Captain America and the Avengers” for the SNES. It was hard as hell, but still my favorite, nonetheless.
Then this show was announced on Fox Kids, and I got so excited: I would finally get to see Cap, Iron Man and Hawkeye kicking some ass in animation.
But all the series ended up being was a futuristic cash-grab in which the actual avengers, sans Hawkeye, were long dead and the main characters wore these armors taken straight from Saint Seiya. Hell, they even get to fight villains that represent the 12 signs of the zodiac!
Ultraforce was by far better than this thinly-veiled toy advertisement.
When I first saw this I thought it was a show about animal themed superheroes. Never knew it was Marvel when I was a kid.
