On the planet of Cybertron, war rages between the two factions known as the Autobots and the Decepticons over the race of smaller, power-enhancing Transformers called Mini-Cons. Seeking to flee the conflict that surrounds them, the Mini-Cons escape Cybertron with the aid of the Autobots, but an attack by the Decepticons cripples the ship as it flees through a spacebridge. The ship materializes in the Solar system and impacts with the moon of Earth, breaking in two. One portion of the ship stays embedded on the Moon, while the other plummets to the planet below. The Mini-Cons, all locked in pentagonal stasis panels, are scattered across the globe. The ship crashes to Earth and millions of years pass.
When Bradley "Rad" White and Carlos Lopez investigate the caves outside their city, they accidentally uncover the wreckage of the Mini-Con ship and activate it, causing it to send a signal that alerts both the Autobots and Decepticons as to the Mini-Cons' presence on Earth. Megatron and Optimus Prime's forces teleport to Earth from Cybertron as a result. Rad, Carlos, and their friend Alexis befriend the Autobots, along with the Mini-Cons High Wire, Grindor, and Sureshock (known commonly as the Street Action Mini-Con Team in the toyline). The Transformers assume earthen alternate modes, and the hunt begins in earnest to locate the scattered Mini-Cons.
Kid Rhino released a few DVD collections in the United States, before releasing the entire series in two box sets in 2004 and 2006.

This show was my introduction to the Transformers franchise, and that's why it will always hold a special place in my heart.♥
I remembered when I was a kid I told my mom to wake me up in the morning just to watch this show. Man I miss my childhood.
Hell yeah! And what I really love in this series is that they really used the trailer part of Optimus Prime's truck. In the other series, it just appears and disappears when needed.
This is what is so great about transformers. So many different starting points. I personally grew up with Beast Wars but Armada was also one of my favorites. Easily had one of the best versions of Starscream and a very cool toy line too.

My question would be is why did the lyrics always went More Than Meets The Eye and then Robots in Disguise instead of the other way around? I think the Catchphrases would have more Impact if that was the case.

Armada Megatron is my favorite version of this character. Love the tank form, colors, the voice. He was as badass as Optimus here. Everything nice and balanced ❤️

The absolute best version of Starscream ever. Also I kinda miss Hotshot, like I know he was meant to be a bumblebee clone but he was cool
I love how 3 dimensional Starscream was, and Hotshot was his own character that lived up to his brash, cocky personality.

Agreed those two were my favorite aspects of the show, which is why i was dissapointed when i saw how Starscream actually was on other shows and that hot shot was a literal nobody (which is why i pretend that bumblebee is him XD)

Indeed, although the earlier episodes had some animation and name errors (mainly because from what I heard, they had to rush to get a certain amount of episodes done in order to Cartoon Network to approve it).
Armada is easily my favorite. Plus, the music hits me down to my deepest feels for some reason. (Also, my inner kid still thinks Jet Optimus is the coolest thing to ever exist)

This is the best Transformers theme song and it has always left me with this bittersweet feeling.
I'll never forget the last episode of Armada and how empty I felt when the song ended and I realized it was all over. As far as I'm concerned, Transformers ended when Armada ended. And what an ending it was!
This is still one of my favorite openings to a transformers show ever.

Here after being the only Beast Wars fan (*Not a G1 fan.) that enjoyed Rise of The Beasts unlike the fandom.
Besides Beast Wars, the Unicron Trilogy and Robots In Disguise (2001) will always be my 1st introduction along with Rescue Bots and Animated after retiring from my Bayverse nostalgia for good lol.
To me, Armada Starscream is the real Starscream.

My only exposure to Transformers is this and the Bay movies. I remember going into Bayformers disappointed that Megatron wasn't a tank like in Armada lmao

Saw Legacy Evolution Armada Optimus Prime. I had to come back here.
Going back and watching the Unicron trilogy as a whole has convinced me that this particular version of G1 is the Great War that predates Beast Wars, especially since Hot Shot calls Optimus "Big Bot" a few times in Cybertron, something Cheetor would do towards Primal in Beast Wars.
On top of that, Starscream's betrayal of Galvatron in Armada correlates with what Starscream told the Predacons and what Blackarachnia found out in his datatracks later. He essentially betrayed Galvatron to save him from Unicron
This intro is up there with the X-Men animated series and Spider-man 1994 for me! Good ol' times

Armada/Micron Legends was MY Generation-1 Transformers. recently watched the original Japanese version of this, and it's not too different, but I will say it's definitely worth watching.

This was my generation and yet I have seen G1 almost all of the episodes including the G1 movie, but this is what I grew up with especially the Michael Bay movies and I still love the Bay movies
I use to grew up with both the Unicron Trilogy and Bayverse too, but sadly after being the only one that enjoyed Rise of The Beasts since I'm also more of a Beast Wars fan than a G1 one? the elitist fanbase that ruined the Bayverse for me started bashing that new movie I enjoyed that those elitists were the reason why I had to retire my childhood for those movies sadly, I'm sorry :(

its so funny running into this. when i was 6 i went to the library with my mom and instead of getting a book. I saw a cool looking transformers cartoon and I got that instead. now looking back It was transformers armada lol. technically my first introduction to transformers besides the movies lol.

The Beast of all Transformers Opening Songs like Honestly this theme is so iconic and rough and so Techno sounding but hard Rock its simply incredible should have been their main like song even on movies when they in fight scenes
Guys that Optimus Golden mouth form is legendary...I think we need Optimus to alteast get it as one of he's major forms....And the Metabots we definitely need a movie with them in it adding to the already powerful Arsenal of these killer robots in disguise

Get Transformers Armada the Complete series on Amazon. It's legit. I have energon and Armada. I found out how the show ends. As I watched it on the hasbo tv app for the Amazon tv. The last episode of Armada on that app is episode remorse. And I picked up after it. And I'm rewatching the series. Because I want to.
