    One thing about Alizhan's technique that I've been paying attention to is his foot position. His front foot is tip toed against the table leg at the start. He'll set his back foot way back and be on his tip toes, and on go, he'll slide it forward and swing his hips under the table. Sometimes the back foot will end up swinging into the middle bar of the table. If he bounces off his opponent, he'll quickly switch to a press and put his leg up on the table and place the back foot on the same side as the foot that is pressing the table leg so that he's falling over towards the pin pad. This constant shifting of balance is what forces him to be fast. I've been practicing it myself and falling over like that forces you to generate power quickly.

      @@A_Mystery_Man astute. Well done. Using your posture and set ups to fall into your position activates an autonomous part of our brain to prevent us from falling. Activated alotta muscle very rapidly without actively thinking about it.

    Lachlan is spot on about Devon and why he acts the way he does. Part of it is promotion but deep down i also believe it has to do with him trying to simulate part of the adrenaline rush he used to get.

    Lach is dead on about training. This weekend I trained with a guy and it felt like I would kill him in a match. BUT, I know for a fact that he would rip my arm off during a real ready go. Fatigue, staying out of dominant lanes, humbleness all give decepting appearances when it comes to training.

    Steroids only 10%? If anybody on steroids could stop using, and still perform at 90% of their peak on steroids I would believe it.

    • @Sumppa
      @Sumppa 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      i've seen it many times myself during 20 years where 200kg natural bench guys hop on gear and end up 220-230 so ~10-15%. 300kg deadlifters climb to 330-340 when they go from ipf to untested, so ~10%. That is what most people get but there have been 20-30% performance increase on hyper responders. Truth is still that world level talent who deadlifts 400kg on stiff bar will still deadlift 320-330 naturally, so ~15-20%. Also if you take best natural strongment in heavily tested leagues, they will log press ~160-170kg and world best in untested will press ~200kg+, so percent difference there isn't more than ~20%

    • @thegame9808
      @thegame9808 23 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      It's because armwrestling is a tendon , smaller muscles sport. Steroids don't build tendons or hand size, and has little effect on your pronator size . Steroids work well with big muscle groups like chest, biceps , back. The muscles used for armwrestling are just don't really benefit that much from roids, its why a guy like Larry Wheels gets crushed by nearly everyone.
