I was a kid when I discovered Melanie. It was in the south of France where I was born. One French radio station Europe Number One had a program called campus and Michel Lancelot used to play her songs. I couldn’t understand a word of English in those days, but I fell in love with Melanie ‘s voice. I recall listening to her songs many years later while picking peaches in New Zealand. One English fruit picker used to play her songs. I am sad Melanie left us , she was a talented beautiful soul who deserved more recognition. Now, almost 67 I still enjoy listening to her songs at Raza Organic Farm in India. RIP Melanie, your songs will live on forever, and are needed in our increasingly polarised world. Sat Sri Akal, Salam, Shalom, Shanti.
I became hooked on Melanie the first time I heard her in 1971 singing brand new key. I think I purchased everything I could get my hands on, but I know there’s still more out there. I got to meet her several times after concerts. Melanie concerts always became my family vacation with my wife and children. Thanks to the Internet, we have a strong Melanie community and I cherish that. We love and miss her. Thanks to all of you for loving Melanie also.

Thank you for your story 🙂👍👍
Most of the ‘greats’ of this world are not recognised until they pass. 😢
Yes, it is sad but true.
How true! Melanie was a musical genius❤
