@TheFeesher the a6 would have the bigger cam right? Lol I'm very knowledgeable of these motors. I have a CB7 coupe and spun a bearing 2 weeks ago. Gonna do an h23 swap. But also thinking if I wanna attempt to build the f22 for the future 🤷🏾♂️
Lots of good pistons so it’s hard to say! I personally keeping things stock and just do moderate power, so I’ve never really been in a situation where I felt I needed better pistons. If you’re going for 300+whp, then I’d definitely look to build stronger
It depends on what method you use to put the engine in. If straight F/H then get mounts for the engine. Most H2B kits iirc will use the B series mounts for the chassis being used. I think Evolution has its own mounts, I do not know for sure though. Im only experienced in in the Brough plateless kit where you use chassis B series mounts.
Raises oil pressure, less parasitic draw from the balance shaft making more power, loose a little weight, and give frame rail clearance for a f2b or h2b in different chassis like a ef civic, eg, etc.
Never heard of the s2k pulley trick. Is it the same belt offset for the alternator or does that need to be relocated further in. Wish I read about this before I just got my f23/b swap in and started but I hacked my crank pulley down
I believe it’s *slightly* off. Not by much, but it ran fine 😉, the biggest issue was I didn’t like how few threads the crank bolt had into the crank, but it didn’t come loose, I just put a lot of blue locktite on it.
Maybe it's because I'm black. And because I been in the electrical trade since 01. But dude. Funny as shit. Around the 11 minute 30 second mark. You said you work in Oklahoma and it's hot. You do electrical work. Turn on your captions. 😅🤣😂
"I only legally discharge the AC" *looks at camera*
Caden Hilger I am a good noodle
👍yes 😊
how similar is this motor to the F22A6?
Very. If I recall, it has a bigger cam though

The a6 has the bigger cam, yes. I think it’s head is more accepting of port work being done as well
@TheFeesher ahh okay. Also I meant I'm NOT very knowledgeable about the motors lmao.
Heyyyy what pistons do you recommend? Or can I get bold ideas for a bottom block overhaul?

I wanna throw a f22 or f23 in a da integra. I'm just not sure on the motor mounts. Would it be the same as an h swap? Will h swap motor mounts work?
@Ace B. so the mounts have to match the year of the motor?? So if it's a 97 f-22 or h22 the motor mounts would have to be from a 97 as well correct?

You can tell the rotation by the timing belt routing
Engine spins towards the front of the car it's a easy way to remember.
What does deleting the balance shaft do in a f22??
Raises oil pressure, less parasitic draw from the balance shaft making more power, loose a little weight, and give frame rail clearance for a f2b or h2b in different chassis like a ef civic, eg, etc.
Thanks! I don’t know how I missed this comment, but that is exactly what balance shaft removal is for, thank you Chip.

S2k pulley works but putting the f series pulley on a lathe is less expensive and lines up perfectly.
The s2k is for clearance from the ground?
S2k pulley is to clear the frame rail
Is that a cast iron block?
Nope, cast aluminum
Your took an engine apart and didn't know which way it spins dies it still run
lol no, there’s an update video, my H22A is still going strong after a year straight of beatings

Hey man do you have instagram in working on an f22a1
Kind of, I have some pictures of it on my Instagram of the same name
