K series is supposed to fit better because it doesnt come anywhere near the master cylinder. K20 i wont have any issues getting it mod plated but K24 i may need an engineering certificate but well see.

Big ups to the channel. You saved me from taking an Advil when it came to changing my timing chain, Vtc actuator and the sprocket. Made it a breeze. Only issue I came into (pause)... Was that piece of the bottom bolt that holds the timing chain cover broke in there. So that has me worried but of than that. Salute!
Appreciate ya!!! Really do! I bought an 09 accord exl with the k24z3 (junk) but did not know ignoring the start up rattle would lead me to doing a full timing kit by ECCPP. I have done jobs some time ago BUT never a Honda. I have managed to navigate ok so far. Not great not good but ok. Watching a couple videos of urs is going to help when I go to put tensioner on, priming the tensioner? Da Faq? Yea, I know nada bout dat. However, the balancer shaft chain tensioner that came with kit is a spring load and after I put it up to where it should fit I just do not see how. Unless there is something I am missing there and not seeing? All new chains vvt selenoid, actuator, exhaust sprocket and cams are locked out currently and obviously. I have painted all my marks etc. Is there any words of wisdom for putting the cover back on and oil pan because its all goo and no gasket! It was a mofo getting oil pan off and I really need it to go smooth. I unfortunately can't afford to do some things it could prolly use and here is the biotch of it all. Motor is in the car still. To do it right and pro like I should remove engine from bay and clean it all up or? Could you please lend me some advice in this scenario I have going on? Like I look at the spool valve and think I need to replace at minimum the gasket, there is oil all over the block and it has been tricky. I've yet to check torque specs on cam caps. So this is a I will listen situation, I enjoy watching you with your craft so any input would be greatly appreciated. All Respect!!!
Oh, and I don't have a pulse plate. I have a similar that goes there but it is like it is missing the inner tooth and the whole outer ring of teeth. Been told it is the model I have. Do I need one ?

No, its not that bad, but I should not have ignored what I needed to change. Now it really ended up being the guide tensioner all the teeth sheered off but bfr that was the infamous actuator start up rattle. Anyways, doint the timing chain full kit, plugs, coils, gaskets, vtc actuator, etc. I am just trying to figure out where to put the jac to stabilize motor while taking out motor mopunt screws to remove plate and start cleaning and reinstalling all new parts. Couldn't do a compression test due to 8 teeth jump on sprockets so I 90degree forwarded the crank from TDC to work on getting the cams back to TDC and lock em out and move forward from there. any help I appreciate!!!! Has a K24Z3 motor R40 #2 block? I believe thats stamped all over the damn thing. Fixing oil leaks hoping not to have to take the valve body/head off. She leaks a lot of oil, and by the looks of the valve cover and where valves are there was some nast build up so I will be cleaning it all up very well!
Yo herd u mention rear meson seal. I have k20c1 that I had to buy for my car because Honda told me the fucked up motor rear main seal is leaking due to end play How can I fix this. Rebuild that motor
KG GARAGE you prefer the Honda tensioner over a K-Tuned type? Isn't the tensioner from Honda the weakest part of these motors? I'm in the South but would seriously fly up to your area to learn hands on with you guys any day of the week.

Not really, oem is good but if you’re doing some crazy build then get something for more of a race engine
