There is this one Finnish man, that served under 3- different flags And guess where he is buried? In Arlington military cemetery.
He was under Finland, Nazi Germany, and U.S flag hew was an officer in all those armies and only SS officer in Arlington.
He does have a family grave stone in Helsinki Finland It only says, that he's missing since 19.10.1966 =(

You need to be 18-29 years old Finnish citizen and after that you are free from the service. There is some NHL players that didn't visit Finland in that age period so they didn't serve.
Lauri Markkanen NBA-star did serve and is now an part of an reserve.
We have an "Sports academy" for those that are professional athlete so they can do full day training while learning military skills.

Within the actual conscription you can choose non-weapon service, nowadays very important digital anti-hybrid tasks as well as high educated civil protection (medical) service.
As a 62-year old woman, my grandparents suffering from Empire of Russias press, my parents being innocent children suffering of the Sovjet Stalin war against Finland, I have a Red Cross first Aid course. I also know where the nearest shelter is, have a 72 hour water and food supply and know how to help my nearest. That's what Russia has learned us since centuries.
