It's like BuzzFeed, but down under. We're a bit cooked, not afraid to get deep and sometimes we'll make you crack up. New videos every week!
Thank you BuzzfeedOz crew for letting me participate in this video. I had a blast, and yes Tom, you're always welcome over at our house 🤣
your personality. laugh and positivity is infectious! I'm insanely glad they chose you!
Hahaha love it! Hope to take you up on that one day 😁😁
Mālō ‘aupito toko Isoa. So when’s the next feed at your place? 😂 ‘ouuuuaaaaaaaaa MMT
You made this video good 😂 brought out my hyena laugh lol
Thank you for being you ♡
“It’s a soup” “you’re over complicating it” 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂👌
my thoughts exactly
“Arent cows cute?” “Only when they’re blow dried”
Claude is hilarious 🤣 I need her on every ‘aussies try’ episode
I had to go back and relisten to that part to make sure I heard her right. 🤣
Favourite Lines
"Your showing your caucasian"
And "I'm sorry I wish I was better" 🤣
Isoa prob had the best reaction footage I've seen in these
I need to calm down a bit tbh 🤣
@@IsoaKavakimotu your awesome 😊👍
That Lo'i Hoosi aint for the weak 💪🏽🤣 shit will have you galloping a mile 😂
Islanders have very similar ingredients. I’m from
Dominican Republic and Taro, Cassava and Platain are THE BEST we also use a lot of coconut on our dessert and fish 🥰
Hamdah your eyeliner takes all my focus 😂 absolutely gorgeous
This has to be one of my favorite videos of buzzfeed. The food, the reaction to the tasting, the energy, everything is great
I love that ever culture says you’re invited to the cookout. In their own words of course
Im samoan but tongan food slaps different 👌🏽👌🏽
I’m Tongan and I think the same bout Samoan food 😍🥰 Similar yet have their own respective delicious authentic flavour
Love these videos! And also really enjoyed Ìsoa's spirit and the commentary they gave. Twas a delight y'all
Mālō Jeunee, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
'Īsoa has an energy I want to surround myself in! That laugh, very contagious!
Love when y'all gift us with these unique Cultural Foods, please Explore More of this Very Intriguing Cuisine, please!
Thank you 'Īsoa Kavakimotu! Your descriptions were very helpful and your reactions were the best part of this video!
Claudia and Hamada are like my best friend and me when it comes to spicy foods…..me being Claudia. LOL
love how respectful they are. Malo
I saw something on marketplace like "loi hoosi come get that horse power" and it took me a while to realise it was actually horse 😂
Mandioca or Cassava is native to Brazil and is a root vegetable. It’s definitely not like parsnip. 😄
It doesn’t taste the same I’ll agree. But parsnip is a root vegetable?
Claudia and Hameda have that bitchy sisterly vibe going on that I absolutely love haha
With all the coconut and ground provisions made me feel like food from my country.
Ikr. Cringed when she said cassava is like plaintain🤣🤣
Yes! We even have curry chicken too! But ofc the Pacific version lol.
“Aren’t cows cute?” Hahaha I love Tom
Hameda is the best!
Almost every dish had coconut.
Clauds: what's the white stuf? hahah
"im so sorry I wish I was better" awww shes so cute
Hameda, your hair got so long. You're absolutely beautiful. Love your reactions
Isoa is the cleanest man I know 🥳
thanks for making Rizcel regular, I love her sm!
“Aw I want this piece of chilly”
“what..” 🤣😭
Watermelon Otai is the best
LOVE the maramataka Māori in the background 😂👏🏾
"The white stuff is coconut" got me 😂😂
As a Kiwi Tongan, I love that people tried Tongan foods and flavours. ‘Otai is the best drink, I think a mango one was profiled, but another popular flavour is watermelon. Tongan food is very simple, but very delicious and it’s often prepared in big portions, so easy to share with others. Lo’i hoosi is chefs kiss. You simply can’t knock it until you try it. We’ll try almost everything I reckon ❤ Mālō ‘aupito toko ‘Isoa for guiding the team. ‘Ofa atu mei AKL
You folks need to do Hawaiian food next!
We don't really have Hawaiian food here downunder.
@@avilik13 but things can be shipped and cooked right? Soooo
@@crystaloreilly-morales1035 wouldn't be the same. Besides these buzzfeed Australia vids are highlighting the Pasifika cultures that have sizeable communities downunder. Have never come across a Hawaiian here.
ITS A SOUP 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀
that filipino girl's earrings are pretty! where did she get them!?
fun fact! in the Philippines we also have a similar fish dish with chili! it is called Ginitaang Isda! you can use fresh salmon or the fresh water fish you see in the fish market in a palengke!
Otaí drink I had before; very refreshing. Had it the original version and had it without the chunky bits, pureed and smooth like a smoothie
But preferred the original version, can't go wrong. Summery flavours and feelings on the senses
Original has chunky bits
Toko! “ITS A SOUP!” Also watermelon OTAI IS LIFE!
You should have a dim sum episode!!
Video suggestion: Rank Connoisseur ice cream flavours
Ooohhh, I'd love to try all of this food!
claudia has the cutest reactions😂
...omfg... and now I want to go to Tonga soooo much! Faikokai, Otai, Loi hoosi - I am here for you, and those yams, absolutly.
I am ALSO so glad there is someone else out there who has a moral code that prevents them eating octopus: They are smart, guys: Much smarter than your pet dog. In a generation or two (when the tech catches up) we will be having conversations with them, Their eye is almost identical to ours and their brain is bigger; they see the world through our eyes and think about it too. It is worse than eating dolphin.
Uni of Otago represent 🙌
Noooo horses awwwww waaaah! lol They had me at every dish but the last one; I couldn't do it.
How is eating octopus against your moral code…. But eating fish isn’t? Can someone explain that??? Because I’m super confused.
People’s moral codes are individual to them. Nothing to explain really.
When it's horse food, every Islander knows god damn Tongans at it again 😂
Is Tongan chili spicier and or hotter than scotch bonnet peppers or the African purple rose pepper?
How is the look or description of the Togo chili peppers
Thanks
Tongan chillies are quite small so they are spicy. Not too sure if it's spicier than a scotch bonnet though.
They need to try Cambodian food next
as an australian-tongan i can relate to all these foods
Ugh I miss being home so I can eat Tongan food.
Someone gift Hamada a bottle of vaipolo please! And Isoa did such a great job explaining our cuisine, mālō e ngāue mei hena Isoa!
Love me some Hameda.
As a samoan I can say it… Horseyyy horseeyyyy!!!! 😂😂😂😂
Best Tongan food is kekevia and to drink it down is Otai and last fav Tongan food of mine is MA PAKU PAKU when I went to Tonga to see my fam & for a butu I only he ate that every morning crafters or bread❤️❤️ Tongan food is THE BEST food.
more Tongan content😍🇹🇴
I want that Ride ‘Otai shirt!
Toko why did you give them lo'i hoosi you know palagis love their Saddle Club 😭 Hello wooooorld this is meeeee life should beeee 💀
Not saddle club 😂
You should Try Savy Meals for more A1 Tongan cuisine and Mai Otai
Bro haa a whole Māramataka Māori😍🌔🌕🌖
lo’i Hoosi Lu sipi manioke ahhhhhhhhh dead my bread😋
Bless their hearts...what is a plan-tayne lol? It's plan-tayne (kind of like saying ton or tin fast). Great content as usual!
It's just the accent, that's how we all say it 😂
Best Tongan food is sekonis kekevia or ma Paku paku ❤️ drink it down with otai
Mmmm love ota Ika!! And otai! Miss that.
Nan let him to take that back now
French people traditionally also eat horse, ironically enough. Happens less these days though....but still happens.
If I had to choose between Samoan & Tongan food?
Manioc is like a stringy potato. Cape Verdeans also call it Manioc.
Thanks now I’m hungry 😋
Hey BuzzFeed oz!! First here y'all!!!! ❤️
That food looks 😋
Watching this is making me so hungry
Toko you turn up with cream in the Oka instead of coconut milk then you might as well stay in the parking lot. 😂😂😂 Cancelled ❌🚫
Finally 😍😍😍
Islander’s relationship is unhealthy, let’s be honest 😂 looked yummy tho
Raw fish salad is actually a Samoan dish 😅
Incorrect it's eaten all over the pacific.
You gotta love raw fish, it's amazing
Tongan food elite 👏🏾
Why did she say cat meat? 😂🤐
Yum!!!!
🇹🇴🇹🇴🇹🇴🇹🇴🇹🇴
tf are they spooning the Otai.
If kangaroos were being in Tonga, might be the best lo'i kang
Where the lū
As a Tongan, the food highly depends on who’s cooking it. I want non Tongans to try our food but I’d rather they not if the chef didn’t cook it properly
Im from tong and on one said it is kfc
I think they like the Sa food better LMFAO
if us tongans dont have coconut or coconut cream in our food we wouldnt have a good feed
im tongan and my food is otai
Hamdah seems very nice. I like her.
Why were those big girls being modest with the food lolol
Try Fijian food
They forgot another tongan dish dog
Masi these palangi are too posh
Tricking ppl into eating horse meat is just wrong.
Nope,
I like Clauds, she's hilarious, witty, creative, and beautiful, but I really do wish you would keep her out of food tasting videos. Maybe you guys do it purposely to get more views, but the fact that she repeatedly finds even black pepper spicy, gets on my nerves. I understand that those are her preferences, heck I'm a picky eater myself, just makes the video seems sort of cringey? At least when it comes to cultural food, or non desserts, I would rather you brought someone to the table that is more adventurous like Coops, or Tom, instead of having them man the cameras.
@Claudia Maree You are one hundred percent a plus to the tasty group, and I have enjoyed your scene thoroughly. Your remarks, your banter, your humour, definitely bring something to the video that makes them enjoyable to watch. You mesh so well with the group on scene.
I also understand that the taste thing isn't within your control, thank you for taking the time to read my criticism and answer it.
Ewww mango otai 😂
All of them looked absolutely disgusting. Food looked great though
Why is Hameda hating on Claudia so much? 😢
Right?!?
to spice up the episode
Because Claudia has the palate of a 4 year old.
i doubt she was actually hating, just teasing a good friend about spice levels 🤷🏽♀️ nothing deep
It’s not hating, they are just playful joking. Trust me 😊
That eyeliner on Hamada is horrible, come on girl.
