The guy who asks you to go light then talks smack when you're going light.
Yeah that’s a problem
Best channel for a BJJ beginner on TH-cam. Actually, a lot of his advice carries over to any life activity that requires working closely with others.
People who grapple in tshirts. It’s disgusting. Also people who don’t trim their fingernails and toenails.
Wet soggy t shirts lol
guys who use T shirts? as in multiple time world champion and multiple adcc title winners like royler gracie, kron gracie, nino shembri, mike fowler, LEO VEIRA etc ? how is that worse then no shirt? or rash guards? I swear it feels like new guys ( im not assuming such guys are bad, at bjj just new so not aware of the historical culture of no gi) have been hit with b.s marketing that has them convinced that rash guards are special and you must buy one lol... guys they're not great protection against bacterial infections (as competitive brown belt ive seen and had most infections no matter how i or my friends cleaned, dressed etc
they still absorb sweat and bacteria still gets through . nor are they useful defensively or offensively like no shirt , shirt, gi pants etc ..when you see dudes literally born on the mat and winning adcc wearing tshirts you can assume their acceptable attire
Hygiene is a necessity
You need to simmer right down with the essays. Shirts are annoying, fingers and toes get caught in them. Has nothing to do with the history of the sport 🤦🏼
@@HPUcoaching i guess we've sadly reached the point where adults can't handle simple paragraphs- seriously though i'll try to keep it brief ... if what your claiming is true everyone would wear tshirts in competitions. dudes are willing to take PED's and throw matches for teammates. especially when prize money is on the line..
the truth is flimsy tshirts are million times less likely to damage your small joints compared to gi's. which people for the most part safely train in worldwide everyday .. its just such a minor concern, but to each his own
“Anyone from Gracie Barra”
Me, who trains there, watching this video
👁️ 👄 👁️
Lol
1. Warm ups( running, jumping..so much fkn bs) 2. Dont add resistance building while training " techniques" 3. People that only go 💯 all the time.not exploring and giving for learning purposes.
The guy who spends the whole positional round doing everything except what you'Re actually working on (doing pass positional sparring with someone who refuses to play guard for example).
That’s a good one
In training there's no reason to intentionally injure your partner. If they won't tap either tell them they're being stupid or move on to a choke where you can take the submission to a logical conclusion even if they don't tap.
I love getting people in a north south position. I can guess most people’s diets.
awesome, thank you for the vid.
I know a guy named Tim who did 4 judo classes and now he thinks he’s a jujitsu champion and walks around planet fitness acting hard lol
im mad guilty of bjj memes
and im not stopping
Please do
@HPUcoaching just ask me to stop breathing why don't you...
Oh lord, a guy who I'm currently ousting from my circle of acquaintances in my wrestling class.
==========================================================
-He smells bad
-He thinks he knows everything.
-Has ZERO experience in training his body OR in fighting and thinks he can compete with everyone else.
-Makes excuses when its time to practice outside class.
-Can't tell him NOTHING unless you're a coach.
-Repeatedly uses the sentence : "So you think you're a wrestling coach?" when someone tries to tell him anything.
-Is clumsy as shit.
-Can't do take downs for shit.
-Will argue how effective a move is when you JUST used it on him.
-Goes on mini-tantrums without yelling
-Tries to Gaslight you by saying "you're angry" when you're calmly listening to him rant and barely reacting to him.
-Tries to Gaslight you by saying "Yeah you too, but I didn't wanna say anything." when you tell him he stinks.
-"We're both getting better" when his ego feels threatened by somebody who is better than him in any way on the mat.
Rolled with someone recently who literally smelt like poo
you literally rolled in poo
@@shabblabbat literally
What a shitty experience
Very shocked you didn't mention the spazzy white belt
All white belts are spazzy
@@HPUcoaching Eh, I've rolled with a lot of spazzy white belts and a lot calm ones as well
Drilling technique and cranking submissions on shoulders, and/or offering spazzy resistance during technique drilling in the learning phase.
People sending memes doesn’t bother me at all.
if i ever own a gym showers and clean gi is the main priority, if anyone tried to use the same gi more than one class without washing i just wouldnt allow them to train
The coaching shit is real
Livestock Breath haha
😂😂😂 What's the go with Gracie Barra, I was looking to sign up here in Sydney, give us the scoop?
9.Mate bullies
This is me lol a gb member 😂 (considering switching gym though) I’m curious what makes them so annoying lol
I'm probably annoying. I do tell white belts to calm down a bit. I probably shouldn't bother. But I think they can be pretty dangerous.
If they need to stop being a goose, nothing wrong with that
Lol I was definitely the white belt with an ankle lock. Didn't get less annoying until my partners punished me for it.
Imo that's good. When someone does something frequently it gives you more opportunities to practice the defense.
Stallers are too 3 worst
first . w suppo
Lack of engagement on the feet, I understand if you're not confident in your wrestling, but you don't get better by guard pulling every time.
What if they want to improve their guard? Kind of a bad take imo
Gaurd work from the bottom is too defensive and doesn't draw eyeballs on the sport. Judo does a way better job of forcing action.
@@uncircumcisedcircus I had people pulling guard on me during my first trial class, and when they hit a trip or sweep they'd just stay on their butts
@@uncircumcisedcircus training isn't about drawing eyeballs to the sport.
I get better at guard pulling.
