- Hello Everyone, Welcome to another exciting Honda vs Suzuki Drag Race. It is between Suzuki Swift and Honda Civic Rebirth Prosmatec. Suzuki Swift is 1.3L with DOHC engine and manual transmission. Civic Rebirth is 1.8L with i-VTEC engine and Prosmatec transmission. Watch the Swift vs CIvic drag race to find if Swift can beat Civic. Also, in this race we have included the quarter mile time and speed, 0-100 kph time and specs of both cars. So, watch the video till end.

I have swift for 5 years now. I can relate to this without any doubt. I have smoked 1.6 manual corolla and a civic a couple of times. with 1.8 autos, swift can be ahead till the end of the 2nd year. Swift is truly a power machine. Five years have been now I still love my beast. Great build my Suzuki.

Brother I also have swift and because of that I wasn't believing on your video and now that I tested Swift's 0-100 and rebirth's 0-100 on stopwatch. You guys are right. And If anyone is doubting this video. You can check this Swift's 0-100 and other's swift 0-100 and also 0-100 of rebirth. Swift took 9.6 sec and rebirth took 11 sec.

Swift will give a great distance ahead to vitz.
While not many people know how fast Swift is, the people who own and have tested it know that the only car they can't smoke is a Civic at top speed, anything else is no problem.

what about a manual 1.6/1.8 Altis? The biggest difference here is the transmission otherwise there are alot of cars that can smoke a swift. Have you ever driven an automatic swift? if not then let me tell you that it is sluggish as hell!
@@usama6987 I've never raced an automatic Swift but I have won against Altis 1.6 manual on Swift manual. It is fast, but not fast enough to keep up with Swift. Altis 1.8 is rare but I reckon it will beat Swift without a doubt.

You need to get your civic checked. I have raced manual 1.3 swifts in my auto 8th gen. Swift is faster from launch thats a fact but it stays ahead only till 70kmph.
We haven't raced it against 8th gen. But for 9th gen the results are in front of you. If you have doubts bring your car for rematch.
@@CBrCarsAndBikesRacing there is hardly any tangible acceleration difference between 8th and 9th gens. The most common reason for poor acceleration in R18 is a choked cat-con.
I shared my observation after watching the video (which you made well). I don’t have to bring my car to race you just in order to prove a very obvious problem with the civic that’s in the video.
You can't pass any judgement by just watching the video.

haha... sorry it is nowhere near 8 second for that car. More likr 12.5 or 13 seconds. Because of the auto you see. It creates a lot of lag during it's gear changes ..... compared to manual.

This car’s manual 0-100 is around 9 seconds and automatic is around 10.5 seconds. 1.6 125 hp version manual 0-100 is 9.9 seconds and automatic is 12.2 seconds. There is something wrong with this cars acceleration in both 0-100 and quarter mile. PS: I have the same car with same transmission and I also know what I am talking about.

0-100 on the *1.3* Swift is *not* 9 seconds. It is 11 seconds. Swift 1.5 is 9.7 seonds. Swift 1.6 Sport 125hp is 8.6 seconds.

My rebirth is well maintained, using liqui moly engine oil and tuned up correctly, my 0-100 is about 9.5secs.

Swift has hell of acceleration from 0. Prosmatec transmission cannot compete with its acceleration from 0. That's why swift has won.
