Thanks for watching. I have a 240 grit diamond wheel from Continental Diamond Tools and the standard Wolff Industries honing wheel. I used the standard Wolff 100 grit white stone wheels for a long time. In my opinion they produced a too rough surface for high quality sewing scissors, they are terribly messy and they don't last long enough for a sharpening service. I think I went through a wheel a year when I first got started. I have had the diamond wheel 2 years and it works fantastic. It wasn't cheap. I think $160 but it is so durable. How’d you know you had to resurface the wheel?
You can visible tell by looking at the wheel and feel how the wheel grinds also.
