Yes, I agree. It would seem by the time Privatisation was mooted the railway was really in need of some investment - whether or not the private involvement was a success or not is a debatable point I suppose, but there no escaping the money was needed . Thanks for commenting.
It’s a track maintenance (permanent way) vehicle/ machine. I didn’t tend to video them, but now wish I had, they only appear in my videos by luck/ accident. Thanks for watching 👍😊
