Bicycle Commuter 30 years-Current. Motorcycle rider: 25 years. Zero car accidents. I stopped riding a motorcycle because the car traffic was becoming more and more aggressive and dangerous. You HAVE to be on the street with cars on a motorcycle. A bicycle, you have more options. An EUC, what I LOVE about them is you can morph seamlessly from pedestrian, to bicycle, to car. One moment, you are a car traveling at 35 mph. In an instant, you can turn onto the crowded sidewalk, can travel with pedestrians at walking speed, or meander on a quiet wooded trail. See a nice bike path along the water? You transform into a bicycle in an instant. As amazing as EUCs are (I have three), the good ole’ pedal driven bicycle is superior in my eyes, and still competes well (like at 4:14). Powered by your muscles, nearly infinite range, great in all kinds of weather, cheap and simple to operate and maintain, and keeps you fit. Unlike the bicycle, the EUC is the “motorcycle” I wish I had 25 years ago. It is my yesterday’s tomorrow. A futuristic machine linked directly to my mind. I am so grateful that I got the opportunity to EXPERIENCE an EUC in my lifetime today.

Nice riding, Adam. Loved this video and agree w all you said, EUCs really transformed my transportation and generally life in general. Riding my EUC is the favorite part of my day, everyday I ride 25 miles just to relax and don’t think I will ever be without 3 or 4 wheels ever again. Thanks and ride safe!
It was so refreshing to hear EVERYTHING you’ve said about EUCs. It’s exactly the same reason I love them. I loved hearing even the “weeee” sounds. Because again, I feel exactly the same way. I’ve been riding now for more than 3 years. I might have actually just passed 4 years now. However, I just DID get my motorcycle endorsement on my license here in the US so that I could also ride a motorcycle. And so far there are only two reasons I can think about for why I did want a motorcycle license and motorcycle. And that is one, so that I can ride and enjoy a hobby that takes me places WITH my wife. She is far to uncomfortable to ride an EUC and I don’t think that will change. And two, it is much more enjoyable to go an extremely long distance on a motorcycle than it is on an EUC, in my particular circumstance. I still love going on multiple hundred mile range rides on an EUC but they do require lots of planning and I can’t do them with my wife. But with that said, I completely agree with everything else you said. The EUC wins in nearly 100% of the cases for me.
I guess it's fun and practical if you don't have cargo ..don't have passengers. ...don't have bad weather ...don't mind suiting up in armor to go anywhere ...don't mind standing out and getting attention ...don't mind lugging it around when you get to your destination etc
Part of this depends on location and circumstances. I ride a 2001 Hayabusa motorcycle. I live in southern California, and before I retired (I"m 70 years old now), I used it to commute in the car pool lane on the freeways. In California, it's legal for motorcycles to split lanes, and the lanes on most streets are wide enough to do this. Most of the streets in my area have speed limits of 72 kph (45 mph) to 88 kph (55 mph) so I wouldn't feel safe on an EUC on those streets, despite having bike lanes on some of them. I also have a car that I use when weather isn't good. I didn't get an EUC until last August (I bought an V8F), and only use it for fun rides on local paved bike trails, mostly at 20 to 25 kph.
Almost to 50k subscribers!! Euc's are so much better than all other pev's- hands free, few moving parts to break, look like you're from the future, no need to buy brake pads, and it's the closest thing to flying without leaving the ground!!
I ride motorcycles for 4 years now. After four different classes i ended up with 400cc scooter. Despite it being 400cc i still felt i could get in trouble some day, so i gave EUC a try (V12 after all the amazing reviews it got), but sold it after 300km because of the issues it could potentially have with mosfets. I usually rode in the streets at 50-60 km/h together with all the traffic. And it was a stressful experience by itself, but knowing that at any given moment be it now or 3000kms later i could just wipe out in the middle of street gave even bigger amounts of stress. As you mentioned, we are all beta testers because EUCs are still in their infancy. Those who ride outdoors or on bicycle paths maybe have different impressions, but it's just too risky to use it in streets with all the traffic, potholes, long braking distance and a chance of random cut out that may or may not happen. I am back on my 400cc, but i'll be looking at EUCs scene for a reliable and finished product i could use safely in the streets.
As technically flawed EUCs are, most accidents are rider errors and have been for a long time. In other words, by waiting for a technically perfect EUC you may reduce the risk of accident marginally, but it really doesn't make a relevant difference. That said, I avoid riding in traffic when I can.
@John Doe yeh 300km is nothing. I drive escooter, on street and on bike paths, trying to avoid streets as mush as possible. got my second escooter a month ago, now its 1000km already, would be more but ir rains really often
+1. Thanks Adam, you nailed it. I would add also the POV. On an EUC your point of view is higher than even an SUV. So your capability to see in advance the risks ahead is higher. Therefore easier to prevent when having just common sense and respect to others. We were designed by evolution as the monkeys that run. Our senses did not evolved to move while seated. EUCs are the closest transport devices to the natural experience of moving from A to B. Their small size also allows to move around people without bothering and at similar pace. A great EUC does not have to be the most expensive, fast or heavy. Take care and thanks for representing so many of us with these thoughts.
I totally agree with your statements. From a urban city viewpoint (planning, living here and ecological reasons) cars make 95% of the time no sense. Traffic could be reformed. Inner city could be carless, better air, better and more durable streets without heavy cars. The amount of space a city with 1 million citizen wastes for garages, car pools, parking spots in the city, supermarkets .. is madness.
Not to mention the subtle damage to our lungs cars cause & the noise they make in residential streets. I completely agree with your statements. You are a progressive voice in a sea of salesmen. I have been diagnosed as autistic & have issues with my mobility because of spinal pain, but I feel the EUC is the best foot forward for urban travel
Above ground suspended monorails. * use the top of the monorail system and turn it into an e/bike path . It removes busses. And cyclist from street level. Helps keep people safe and frees up traffic. . Hell walking bridges vs sidewalks would help cities so much
Continuing my comment since I accidentally set it too early. . Monorail with bike path on top. Doesn't have to be suspended. . At least for cities and the outskirts of them for commuting. . Give people incentive to not own cars by giving them a 10 discount on rent for not owning a car and a 5% if u drive an electric car or motorcycle.
Be like me and have both! Not always possible so I am fortunate. Coming from a performance motorcycle background, the only thing I slightly struggle with on the EUC's is that I can't go fast enough safe enough if that makes sense, BUT, the feeling the EUC gives one is almost as good as riding a really long wheelie on a motorbike, trust me, it's a good feeling. Sadly though, if an EUC fails, you are almost 99% going to be on the ground, so wear your gear folks.
Your "wee" stoke and enthusiasm in discussing your reasons is exactly what exudes out of me when I try to explain to people why I ride. I love your banter about cars and how much more enjoyable it is to ride EUC instead of a motorcycle or car. Keep it up Adam!
As someone who rides both a motorcycle and EUC, what's important is efficiency. In dense urban areas with limited parking, EUC is definitely a great way to get around. However, if you need to cover large distances quickly, the motorcycle is way more efficient. I should make a video timing various modes of transportation (motorcycle, EUC, car) for various types of trips and see which are the best way to get around.
The main issue with the car in that situation is while there are cases where it's better so are they few enough that you can instead of owning a car rent one that day, take a cab or train etc to solve that issue for far less cost. That is unless you live in a place hostile to bikes like many US cities making anything else then a car or motorcycle unusable.
I have been watching your videos for a bit now, and have been going back and forth between the various options you covered here. You answered pretty much all my questions, with a great visualization of what that route might look where I am. I love embracing the bike paths, river boulevards, parkways, etc. By studying the original major throughways in the city, You can usually find routes that are very efficient for getting across town, while not always as busy as some of the higher paced roads more recently built are. One thing I have loved living in Minnesota, is a great appreciation for this type of intention. Using these in off peak time, can be incredibly efficient for getting around town, and even maintained here through the winter. I have commuted by bicycle around town for years, so I think this will be a fun upgrade to allow me to cover more ground, without having to put as much effort in by the time I reach my destination.
I’ve been riding an euc for about 8 years & I also ride a motorcycle etc. It’s fun & free (after the initial expense of buying it) plus you can go places a motorcycle can’t like a gym locker & a park. You feel like you’re flying & lots of people smile/comment & want to try it. I use my euc to commute back from motorcycle garages when servicing. I also like the silent freedom you have to quickly pop in to the supermarket or coffee shop silently & without pollution. I want to get places without sweating (like on a push bike). The only negative is the price as they are now getting pretty big & expensive.
@@slidersgliders5516 "What EUC was built 10 years ago?" I agree probably the EUC industry began more recently, but it has been a while. Without doing any research, I would guess maybe 8 years ago the first EUCs appeared for consumers?
@@bryanbryant9962 your about right 👍. I think Segway ninebot came out in 2016 . But then again airwheel was around first I believe . Not 10 years yet I'm still sure
"The only negative is the price as they are now getting pretty big & expensive." I currently have a 18XL and MSX. I paid $1800 USD. As you know, these are a few generations behind. I have been interested for a while in upgrading to a new EUC, but the latest generation costs double, around $3600 USD. That's more than I can afford. I know these wheels are also better, but I'm wondering how much better and more expensive can EUCs become?
@@slidersgliders5516 "airwheel was around first" Yes, Airwheel was a leading early EUC company. I almost purchased an Airwheel as my first EUC! Instead I got a minor brand from Gearbest or Banggood, I forget which, and believe it or not, I paid $186 USD for this 14-inch "beginner" EUC! That extremely low price was the reason for my choice! My first "serious" EUC was a 16-incher from IPS, which like Airwheel was a leading player in the early years but eventually went out of business.
i've heard Poland has now limited the speed for electric scooters to 20km/h? is that true or doesn't the police really watch that? in my country it's up to 25 but still not really fast imo
You really caught the "it's like travelling through time and space" ...it's hard to explain to naysayers like my family why it is so fun. People just see the danger, but they miss the feeling of flying through space with minimal input.
Just learning EUC (waiting for my V12 to get updated board) but best description I have is, it's not like using a motor bike or any device. It's like gaining a new super power, because you just think about where you want to go, and it happens.... but FAST. Almost like flying.
I love your channel so much. 6 months ago I saw the InMotion v11 on Amazon for sale since the V12 was coming soon and I picked it up on a whim. I figured if I don't like it I can return it thanks to Amazon's return policy. The second I got on I decided to never sell it. It's such a fun method of transportation and it's a great hobby.
You are so right in all aspects of this, Adam. The only other thing I recall being as much fun as a EUC in my very long lifetime is a mountain bike when they first came out. There is a part of me that hopes the EUC will never be as popular as a mountain bike because when they substantially increase in numbers, irresponsible people will annoy and harm other road users and restrictions will be put in place. In the US, there was a big battle between equestrians, pedestrians, and mountain bikers over trail use. And yes, even going slow and braking are fun.
Electric unicycle is simply the best transport available, I have a really nice electric bike which I used a lot until I started ride EUC, now I never use it It's simply a greater freedom and more fun to ride euc It's hard to describe but there is a connection or a fusion of human and machine which is unique, maybe because there it's a handlebar as you speak. I will never stop ride electric unicycle 💕❤️😃
Excellent video - and you make all the right points about why these are great. Excellent, confident yet considerate riding as well. You are making us all look very good ! Quality 'civic dutying' at 15:20 too :)
I have one and it was a very very efficient last mile transport. It is compact, small, you can take it in buildings, trains, buses, it has such a small footprint, maneuvering even through crowds are very easy. However this was not accepted very well by authorities here. It s being unofficially banned by trains, cities, public transport and never took off. The public transport in Malaysia is not the best and last mile transport like the euc could really relief the city traffic.
I'm a MC instructor with a Zero SR and Onewheel, and want a sprung EUC, but I wish I could also be teaching kids on e-bikes. I love all these personal evs!
Have a motorcycle - I use it when it matters. Learning to ride my KS S18, not good at it yet. But... the S18 has quite a few unique ways it fits into my life, and you spelled out most of them. Of particular use for me is the ability to drive somewhere w/ the wheel in my car, and sooooo many times, as a photo enthusiast, I see something ANYWHERE that I want to stop and take a picture but can't - no place to pull a car over - well I can drive to a convenient spot, even a mile away, too far to walk, get my wheel out and go back to it. You pointed it out w/ your smart phone camera. This actually was my main reason a while back why I got the wheel. But now starting to have so much other fun too. Nice video, thanks.
It's soooooo true. I feel less safe with almost every other form of motorized transport. And yes, I also believe that these and other PEVs, including all that these are helping "pave" the road of the future of transportation my friend. I tell everyone I see and spread that word like soft butter on bread baby...lol
I haven't even mounted mine or tried to ride it, but I went out after watching this into my car park and tried some arcs with one foot on my wheel. I'll be honest, my wheel might only be a V8F, but it scares the crap out of me, but now me and the wheel have some sembelence of co-operation. I found out my left leg is thew stronger one! :)
Makes sense Adam ! When you never risen one you think it’s dangerous, once you achieve riding one it’s the perfect runabout and very enjoyable to ride 👍
Been riding my onewheel for years now, and recognize that many of your points are the same I would make for riding my onewheel. Considering getting into EUC's to get that range and power... soooo tempting!
"How do you ride that thing ?" "You just go WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" Got my wheel last winter, I am LOVING the start of spring. Used to do everything with motorcycle. It's just uncomparable, inner city, EUC is unbeatable on every aspect.
Nice video, good arguments and very nice riding pictures. Now I just need to practice some more to dare riding among other people for commuting on the bicycle lanes.

I've just started watching these EUC videos. I also have been watching Kuji rolls videos. I live in Philadelphia, PA. I have seen people on these, and now after watching these videos , and learning a bit, I would love to get one someday !! Thank you for these videos, so much fun !!
You have been such an influence on my euc journey thank you for your content. Cheers
got dayum! im 84 with asthma and bad knee's. and you almost sold me!!!
Can’t wait for the V 12 Hi took
The EUC wins in nearly 100% of the cases for me.
which one makes more fun
FROM TIMES SQUARE NEW YORK CITY YOU GO GUYS 1 LOVE & PEACE
What a nice and relaxing video, just the footage of you riding while you talk is really nice to watch :)
Almost to 50k subscribers!! Euc's are so much better than all other pev's- hands free, few moving parts to break, look like you're from the future, no need to buy brake pads, and it's the closest thing to flying without leaving the ground!!
i love these types of videos! please do more of them!

8:40 "It's magical, almost like traveling through time and space..." . Poetic :)
People are just to physically weak and soft inside to consider anything else that the 'comfort' of a metal windless box
Above ground suspended monorails.
* use the top of the monorail system and turn it into an
e/bike path
.
They are better for long distances. And remember that people like cars as well!
"Would a motorcycle fit here?" Yeah it would. I've filtered through gaps that small.
Nice thing about EUC is that they basically force you to be safe
Your "wee" stoke and enthusiasm in discussing your reasons is exactly what exudes out of me when I try to explain to people why I ride. I love your banter about cars and how much more enjoyable it is to ride EUC instead of a motorcycle or car. Keep it up Adam!
Dude thank you for this. I cant wait to have one! You are the man
Been appreciating your videos. I'm looking forward to getting my first EUC soon and can't wait!
2:03 watched 10 times or so, literally in tears!
I like riding something while standing up.
It's also like skiing...on a flat surface or uphill...but without getting your skis crossed.
Excellent video and explanation! Excelsior !!
Euc fits in the Uber/ cab or bus or train. You don't need that
I have been watching your videos for a bit now, and have been going back and forth between the various options you covered here.
What EUC was built 10 years ago ?
Amazing ride! EUC's are incredible
i've heard Poland has now limited the speed for electric scooters to 20km/h? is that true or doesn't the police really watch that?
in my country it's up to 25 but still not really fast imo
Sold! That was super enjoyable to watch. Can't wait when I get Begode RS 19 this summer and try it out myself.
Bor,you had me at the first jump,& the wee...! This is the best video,i have ever seen.&and ive seen alot.
Sold my GSX after getting into EUCs. They allow you more options in so many ways!
Them foot plates and power pads are awesome 👍. Can't wait to see a video 👍
that "Wheeee" , is my favorite moment while riding euc :D
You really caught the "it's like travelling through time and space" ...it's hard to explain to naysayers like my family why it is so fun. People just see the danger, but they miss the feeling of flying through space with minimal input.
This was a awesome video watching it on a 70 inch, thanks brother 👌
A magnificent plea for the wheel. Thanks Adam.
Let's ride!
I'm thinking about getting one of these at some point.
You are doing a great job of convincing me.
Just learning EUC (waiting for my V12 to get updated board) but best description I have is, it's not like using a motor bike or any device. It's like gaining a new super power, because you just think about where you want to go, and it happens.... but FAST. Almost like flying.
It's like how superman would fly.
Like the stickers - I’m selling my motorbike, EUC fits my life so much better. Great vid again, thanks Adam.
Your videos inspired me to try euc and to push myself to get good at it
I have the Sherman AND love it
Electric unicycle is simply the best transport available, I have a really nice electric bike which I used a lot until I started ride EUC, now I never use it
It's simply a greater freedom and more fun to ride euc It's hard to describe but there is a connection or a fusion of human and machine which is unique, maybe because there it's a handlebar as you speak.
I will never stop ride electric unicycle
💕❤️😃
Nice video Adam. I do love my cars though 🙂
The is one of your best videos. I really enjoyed bering part of this conversation.(silent part)
Great video. And wow I never realized how loud the Sherman was! I ride an 18XL for comparison lol
I haven't ridden my motorcycle in two years because a EUC is so much better for my purposes.
I have 7 motorcycles and they all degraded to shit because of sitting un-ridden because I gotten into EUCs ~5 years ago.
I've watched this video twice now. I love it. I bought a V8F today 🥰
The parking spot and the rest..... i'm gettin an EUC!!! Thank you for sharing your experience!!
It's soooooo true. I feel less safe with almost every other form of motorized transport. And yes, I also believe that these and other PEVs, including all that these are helping "pave" the road of the future of transportation my friend. I tell everyone I see and spread that word like soft butter on bread baby...lol
Loved this review I'ma buy one this coming month
I like it, I really like it. The very idea of one of these things is awesome.
From TIMES SQUARE NEW YORK CITY YOU GO ADAM 1 LOVE & PEACE
So jealous of how you don’t gotta worry about the messed up roads in your area. My roads in Cali where I’m located is so bad ha
"How do you ride that thing ?"
"You just go WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
Got my wheel last winter, I am LOVING the start of spring. Used to do everything with motorcycle.
It's just uncomparable, inner city, EUC is unbeatable on every aspect.
I laughed, waaaay too loud at 2 in the morning when you started humming “In the Club” once I got the $.50

Nice video, good arguments and very nice riding pictures. Now I just need to practice some more to dare riding among other people for commuting on the bicycle lanes.
Another thing that is really convenient is being able to take them on a train, bus, Uber etc…

I look forward to the day of PEV service centers, like cars have. Especially for fast tire changes: maybe tire balancing as well. A nice selection of tires, on hand, would be fantastic. Imagine being out for a ride with time to kill and a few extra bucks in your pocket. Go shopping at the PEV Service Center!😊
