He’s that nigga in elementary school with the dirty socks and snot nose who’s always talking shit about you behind your back and then coming to you to tell you that Mikey over there been talkin shit about you just to see you get jumped by a bunch of niggas he told you were talkin shit about. This is the same thing that happened in the beginning of TH-cam. Many vloggers from 2009-2015 were in the dark on how much to charge for ads, but when they were exposed to or happened to be in the room of someone else during negotiations it became clear they were being low-balled. Like with everything - when you know better, you do better. This was a very inspiring, educational and entertaining episode.

    I believe Rory and Mal split with Joe because of transparency.
    Joe didn't want to tell them "I'm the Boss"
    and Rory n Mal wanted a peice of the show. A real conversation earlier that might have hurt some feelings but kept the show going would have been beneficial for everyone. Anyway still love the show now. Keep it up 👊

    • @dougedoug2105
      @dougedoug2105 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good point, except for the fact that they had no blueprint in the earlier years. Sounds like they were just free styling it & throwing a bunch of stuff at the wall in hopes of seeing what stuck.
      It was through trial & error that Joe discovered his worth & began cultivating his own brand. No disrespect to Rory & Mal as it’s pretty evident that their contributions helped pave the way, but if they wanted ownership, then they should’ve adopted a boss’ mentality started their own shit.
      They literally stared the blueprint directly in his face for several years straight; Joe Budden 😉

    Huge JB fan. Often controversial and blustery but I’m here for it. Didn’t appreciate the cop out on his favorite albums. Of all the things to not take a stand on 🤷‍♂️. Continued blessings to JB, EYL & the community ✊🏿

    Yes, Spotify is VC-backed (Swedish company). So, an entirely different animal because they are always going to acquire multiple companies to establish market share/dominance.

    I respect everything Joe Budden has built. Props to him and what he’s accomplished. However, he sound like a gate keeper and withholding knowledge to help people coming in grow and make the right business moves to protect their brand. Glad EYL aint like that and sharing the 💎

      I can’t stand him. I can’t stand the fact that he stole from his “friends” in front of everybody and somehow there are still people who can even listen to him.
      I’m watching for 2 reasons. 1: It’s EYL and I figure I can learn something. 2. I’m trying to force myself to listen to people even when I strongly dislike them IF it can potentially benefit me.
      But I am huffin and puffin over here. This dude is king snake and for some reason the EYL kings LIKE him! Wtf?? Ugh

    Rashad kept mentioning showing a blueprint but it wasn’t anything original that hasn’t already been said for years ie: paywall, merch, TH-cam ads.
    I think people want a blueprint of another door no one is or has tapped yet. But he’s right about why info should be shared so people aren’t taking poo ass deals. I disagree with Joe, ima still share the cheat codes and even suggest equipment / set up for my people. We can all eat. Not helping is scarcity mindset. I get it not everyone had to figure it out through alot of trial and error like Joe has done but yeah still share the cheat codes.
