Thank you! We're enjoying making videos about Tunisia and experiencing a totally different way of life to what we're used to. The culture is so unique and interesting and the nature is beautiful!
How many people can say the worst sleep they’ve ever had was in the Sahara Desert? What absolutely amazing memories for you both and I’m grateful I’m getting to see some of them ❤
Hey Cammy! Thank you for coming along on the adventure with us from the comfort of your home! And you're right... not a terrible memory to have, is it!!
Bro this is amazing! despite 1/3 of Tunisia's territories are nothing but sand, people don't often think to go there, let alone some comples with a Van driving from the UK down Here! It's so wonderful to see this heart warming video! As a Tunisian I feel honored! Tunisia is relatively a safe country I would say but the cultural shock and differences in the way of living may feel a bit odd especially when you have no clue about what people saying but you'll get used to it promis xD
Thank you so much!! This comment has put a big smile on our faces. We really want to show off our experience in Tunisia and how much fun we're having. All the amazing people, incredible landscapes and such a different culture to what we come from. We have been here for 6 weeks now and we learned a lot and are enjoying it so much.
Hi Ahmed - yes we're very comfortable here in Tunisia now. In the first video when we arrived I think it was all new and a bit chaotic compared to Europe but we've settled into a rhythm!
The stars were incredible at night in the Desert. Our camera isn't built for nightscapes but it was so bright outside at midnight just from the moon and stars. Mind blowing!
absolutely brilliant we love your sense of adventure. When you opened the tent zip did it cross your mind just for a second they may have left you in desert lol
I cannot believe that you did it either! What an adventure! Once again you've demonstrated why you are one of the best van-life channels. Kudos to you two. .
Beautiful drone footage. I like the sand dunes.. I think the deeper you go into the Sahara desert the bigger the sand dunes are. Glad that you’ve enjoyed your selves. Tunisia will never be short of sand 😜 ❤️🇹🇳🇬🇧❤️
We couldn't believe how big some of the sand dunes were! The drone footage is some of the favourite shots we've ever taken. Very cool experience! And yeah... we notcied there is sand everywhere in Tunisia. even nowhere near the desert there is piles of sand on the road or street haha!
Guys you have done it again, amazing video just seeing the smiles on your faces was enough joy and adventures to last a life time for you both stay safe and take care xxPat
Aw thank you Pat! We couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces for days after this adventure. So glad we could share it on here. Have to admit we were ready for a hot shower and a proper cup of coffee when we got back though haha!
Your feet sinking into that orange sand was so dreamy to look at. Remember doing dune buggying in Peru and it was the most fun ever!! Something so surreal about desert sand dunes isn't there! Love to see how much you have loved it too. Beautiful beautiful video guys, as always. Love your Tunisia series, Sahara sunsets really are unbeatable by the looks of it!
Ah guys you are just the best ❤ Peru sounds like our kinda place!! Yeah we're loving Tunisia so far and hope that the rest of the series lives up to this!! Miss you guys xxxxxx
Hi Courts and Meeks, what a exciting experience to go out in the desert by 4x4 so much fun ,Meeks I bet you would like to get behind the wheel of the 4x4 such great fun ,the look and the huge smile on Courts face says it all ,was it cold in the night ,did you go star ⭐️ watching,I did when I was in Egypt went in the desert to go star ⭐️ watching fun but so cold ,you sure have met some amazing people where you are ,was it expensive do do the great trip ,the coffee looks a bit strong lol ,well what a trip most enjoyable I hope you both enjoyed it I did got sand in my boxers lol well till next time take care and keep yourself safe,John 🌹😂👍🥐😍🤭😁🤩🤔🫢🤫🍔🍔🥯🥯🧆🧆🌞🌞
Aw John, honestly we had such fun! Meeks did actually get a chance to drive the 4x4 when we were at the cafe in the desert (and i did too actually but only in first gear in a circle haha! they wouldn't trust me to go any further!) The stars were absolutely incredible too - when I went out for a wee in the night it was so bright outside because of the moon and the stars! It cost us £220 for the whole experience which we think is pretty darn good! Well worth the memories we made! Hope you're having a good week John! :) x
You did it again. Another stonking video. My Grandad told me to always always always say Yes…. Which hasn’t always worked out, but when it does…. Thanks for sharing this.
Glad you braved it into the Sahara, it's really a life experience. I did a camel ride in it which was rather uncomfortable 🤣 What really shocked me was the change in temperature at night, boiling hot to really cold.
Yes! The temperature as soon as the sun dipped below the horizon was unbelievably different. 20 degrees during the day and then down to like 5 degrees at night! Not sure we'd bother with a camel ride though - like you said, they don't look very comfy!
You must visit the second largest cave in the world located in the city of Siliana Tunisia, when you enter the cave you will notice lime paintings, many Europeans visit it daily
That was truly amazing guys what a memory....and you will remember it more because you were cold and it was hard to sleep on 🧡Didi is a posh hotel with all the comforts of home 🌟🌟🌟🌟 but it was a major memory 🤠🐨🦎🦘🙏💕☕
Amazing! Just found your vlog from the earlier trip to Sahara and the festi Mahagreb. So subscribed with pleasure. Me and Cath my Mrs live mostvof the year in South Morocco and have been thinking of Tunisia as our next visit on our return here nxt Oct. Not thinking about it any more, just going to do it. We dont drive so will be public transport all over! Love the Sahara so will be great to see it Tunisia side. Thanks for your entertaining and natural vlogs, well filmed too. Proper van life travel adventure. Good travels both, we will be watching with enthusiasm. 👍👍✌️
Ah Keith thank you so much for this bloody lovely comment! So good to hear we've helped convince you to come here! I reckon you'll be fine getting the public transport places, it is very cheap and it seems like you know how to navigate in new places judging on where you've been 😍 Thank you for the kind words about our filming, we're really trying to tell stories people will love to watch!
So much fun watching you guys adventure in places I would be way too afraid to go to! Were you worried about snakes and scorpions in the sand?! Did you both eat all of your giant couscous bowls? LOL Also, how much does an all inclusive dune buggy ride and a desert camp cost in Tunisia?
Why would you be too afraid to go? We would highly recommend Tunisia and definitely the Sahara! But it was a bit of a push out of our comfort zones to go and camp in the desert - it all paid off in the end though. We weren't too worried about snakes and scorpions actually as we'd heard they are hibernating this time of year. The whole 24 hour experience cost us £220 i think including 3 meals, 4 hours in the 4x4 and then the time out in the desert and overnight in the tent. Do you think that's good?
@@courtsandmeeks Sounds like a good deal for the amazing experience you guys had! I wouldn't be afraid of Tunisia specifically, I just have an irrational fear of the desert lol. Extreme heat, snakes, scorpions, other critters, sand everywhere... just not for me. Plus being in a foreign country and not being able to effectively communicate with people gives me anxiety to think about! You guys always make it look easy in your travels.
Omg what an entertaining vlog, just one thing I wonder did it cross your mind that they could have all disappeared in the morning, then what ? Think you are both lovely, and very brave ❤
Haha we never thought about this when we were there! That would have been very awkward wouldnt it! Would have made a funny end to the video though and i guess we would have just had to start walking and hope another 4x4 found us before we were lost in the dunes for ever!
As an advice anyone planning to go the desert the sleep there always take a sleeping bag with you cold weather is not a joke there and if you could a movable bed sleeping on the ground can hurt your back if you are not used to it . Still waiting more of your content , peace !
Hi , where are some camels , your on Sand Banks beach , near Bournemouth . ? just up from the POLO pitch ? Amazing fun , chickens oh ? may be you are in the desert , ok you win . Did you take a toilet roll ? LOL . Amazing fun in the sun , but the tide was out . Thanks for your videos and catch you on the next one .😉👍👍Thanks to those that look after you .
We thought it was funny that the camp/cafe had chickens too! Sadly not producing any eggs atm but they were grateful for the leftovers from our giant bowls of couscous!
@@courtsandmeeks about the big bowls of couscous, it comes from some religious background, as long as you are the guest of someone, it is his duty to make you feel comfortable. So it doesn't have to be fair when it comes to the bowl size, the rule is : THE GUEST COMES FIRST
You have to try Dunes Insolites camp site. Been there a month ago and we loved it. You can get there by van and experience full desert with brighter/whiter sands, local food, hot water shower and lovely people and then you can check Toujane and Tamezret Enjoy your stay and have fun :)
thanks for the recommendation - it sounds great! unfortunately we are not in the south anymore (our videos are a few weeks behind reality) but we will save it for the next trip! no doubt we will be back one day!
@@courtsandmeeks if you're still in Tunisia hope you're managing our harsh winter. Guys welcome to Tunisia! But you came all the way from London just to visit local neighbourhoods, a market in Sfax and the festival and Sahara of the south?!! You were on the coast where the most beautiful parts lay but you didn't take advantage of that. Benzart where you can swim the northest point in Africa or hike and camp in its forests and mountains. The welcoming and safe Hammamet and sousse on the coast where you can eat well and relax. Carthage and Gassrine with their stunning punic and roman archeological sites. The Colosseum of al Mahdia el Jam which is exactly like the one in Rome. Of course, the amazing islands of Kerkenah and Djerba. They're worth visiting. Also Ain Drahem, Tabarka, Testour Quairawan, and more....... Apparently you didn't want to spend money, but you can manage to have fun there without spending too much, not all of them are expensive and not all local people take advantage of tourists. You should capture more beauty with your lenses guys! Most of your videos are about traffic, litter and trash, old walls , dirty doors noise, rural areas, camels fighting and rabbit chasing?!! Tunisia is much more than that! Where are the crystal blue beaches of Kelibia where you stayed at first? The breathtaking green sceneries on the road you crossedbetween the Cap bon and Sfax? The amazing sites of Tamerza canyon, Golf oasis , paradise zoo and Belvedere rocks in Douz just exactly where you slept today...? I understand that you want to enjoy your time without capturing every moment but you should've captured both the bad and the good, that's what the job of the vlogger is meant to be. After all you're influencing people with your videos, so just try to be more objective and show them everything. I wish you safe and nice trips!❤ Tunisia loves you!❤
Hey Assma! It is impossible for us to show everywhere in the country in every video. We are in Tunisia for 3 months and there will be more than 12 videos in this Tunisia vlog series by the time we finish. Each video we make is about a specific place about the things we experienced so far. Our vlogs are about 4 weeks behind reality and we have more videos already filmed about Djerba, Chenini and Ksar Mbratine, Kebili, tamagzha and Chebika canyon. Then from there we are travelling up towards the coast to see Kairouan, El Jem, Monastir and Sousse before we travel to Jendouba, Ayn Daraham and Tabarka. Then we will finish our trip on the north coast and in Tunis and Sidi Bou Said and Carthage. I hope you can understand we travelled straight to Douz 1 week after when we arrived for the Sahara Festival and now we make our way back up. We also work 3 days each week online so we only have 2 days to explore and film videos. The other 2 days we spend editing each weeks new video. I know we will never see everything Tunisia has to offer in these 3 months but we will try to give our viewers back in England a taste of the whole country :)
Great drone videos and get why you went to Tunisia Sahara instead of Morocco side but have to say you get a proper bed in the tents in the desert camp at Erg Chebbi in Morocco 🇲🇦. Maybe in just getting old. Shame it’s not possible at the moment to enter via Tunisia and exit through Morocco. Now that would be a great trip
Thank you - we have watched this drone footage back so many times over! There were other camp options available but they were all a lot more touristic and felt a bit more organised. We wanted the sense of adventure and going on a whim and we definitely got that with Lassaad! We wish it was possible to drive from here to Morocco but sadly not anytime in the future. We can't even go into Algeria without a visa from the consulate in london! So we'll have to save that for a future trip.
@Steph Vlogs Hey Steph! We've been living in our van for 3 years now - love this life! Would highly recommend vanlife to anyone who wanted to give it a try - but recommend renting vehicles first!
Never Richie! And when we get too old to remember, let's hope TH-cam is still a thing and one of our family can just put our videos on loop so we can watch them! haha

@@courtsandmeeks I am glad you're visiting more places! Enjoy your stay! You're so lovely guys and you're always welcome! ❤
So we'll have to save that for a future trip.
if you still in tunisia go to aindrahm its s snowing there and tbarka also is good
Thank you - we will go there near the end of our trip when we travel North
was it your drone or guides? drones are not allowed to import to Tunisia, or did you have a permit??
Nice video😍
Thank you so much!
