As I’ve said before, I generally prefer a centre cockpit on a blue water sailboat, but damn I like this one. The interior is fantastic, and her sailing performance should be quite good as well. I’d probably go for the darker wood, but other than that I’d go for this layout, because the galley is excellent. Another fantastic Aquaholic Tour, with a bonus! Great to see the wife tucked away with a good book. Had a genuine chuckle.

I can imagine it now...Nick: "As you can see here we have a proper crew cabin" - cut to Marianne with a crew shirt and crew cap on...or..Nick: "Here is the engine room with plenty of space making the engines very "Getatable" - cut to Marianne with a white hard hat and clip board standing there inspecting the engines...or...Nick: "ON this layout there is also a wine cooler that comes in handy" cut to Marianne slugging down a glass of wine and passing out drunk on the steps.. teehehee LOVED this new Clasic Aquaholic video. I like getattable corners where you could tuck yourself away with a good book after a quick wash up in the shower stool and using the heads, preparing for a swim afterwards from the hi-low bathing platform, maybe opening the tender garage to take the Williams tender for a spin into the harbour. Must not forget to put some things away in places like this. Love your reviews, dear Nick!

The Beneteau Oceanis are nice production sailing yachts with the ability to take you around the world. A brand new Beneteau Oceanis 62 starts out at 792,900 euro. For a 62' sailing yacht, that is not a bad price. Adventure is waiting for those willing to set sail.
@@9VARZ I have not priced one with available options since I am moving into a large catamaran. Running costs are around 10% of the value. Keeping your boat well maintained will cost less in the long run. Doing things yourself will keep costs down.
Lovely review Nick and having Marianne along as well was excellent. The out takes with the dead squirrel comment was hilarious. Thankfully you didn't have a dog with you as the mere mention of a squirrel would have caused pure pandemonium.
@@bumblebee240. that's 200 gallon/hour. That's 150 ft yacht. Boats in the 50-70ft range should burn from 10-40. At slow speeds like sailboats 8-10kn, fuel burn would be about $30-50/hour. New set of sails cost a small fortune too.

nice big boat .... very surprised it has two big fridges and no freezer considering the length of time you can be out at sea with a sailing boat i thought one or two freezers would be a priority for a sailing boat in this class ... anyways thanks for sharing a lovely big airy and roomy yacht with us
Great Tour as always Nick - I was thinking that with all the boats you've ever shown the length of 48 to 54 feet seems to be almost the perfect size to me. Anything much larger becomes less snug, less homely, less intimate as it were and ends up almost being too much. These particular size boats seem to capture all that is needed to experience what boating is all about. Anything much larger and the 'feel' seems completely lost. Keep posting, you're the best!
What a knockout when you went into the boat. Beautiful. Love the magnetic handles, the layout is superb. That would be great for a whole family to go round the World, although food storage might be a problem, not sure. Thanks :)
