Applications Of Supply Chain Analytics in Supply Chain Management
This video highlights the applications of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in Supply Chain Analytics. It also gives a sneak - peek of the course contents of the Supply Chain Analytics Program of 360DigiTMG.

A supply chain is the network of intermediaries between a company and its suppliers that are used to produce and distribute a specific product. Supply Chain Analytics is the application of data-driven decision making at key strategic, operational and tactical points in a company's supply chain. It improves operational efficiency. Supply Chain Analytics can identify risks and help predict future risks by detecting patterns. It also helps in demand forecasting.
In this video, Mr. Depuru speaks of the projects that INNODATATICS - the software arm of 360DigiTMG has pioneered in Supply Chain Analytics. Viewers are introduced to the Demand Forecasting Model that was developed for Korean Airways. INNODATATICS developed software that could forecast the demand for cargo space and thereby optimize the occupancy rate. The software was also used to optimize the cargo network and enable route planning.
Another solution was developed for Coca- Cola where IoT sensors were used to detect the component failure in the machines beforehand - Survival Analytics. This allowed the company to store only those components that were needed to service the breakdown and thus reduced inventory holdings and cost. This also helps in proactive maintenance. The inventory was centralized. Sensors were used to count the number of bottles produced and this data was used to place orders for cartons and trucks just in time.
INNODATATICS has also developed software to track vehicles entering leaving the premises of any company with image analytics tools.
Mr. Depuru also introduces the viewers to the Supply Chain Analytics course offered by 360DigiTMG. This course contains modules on SCOR Model and Supply Chain Measures of Performance like ROE, ROA, APT, ART, INVT, and PPET. Transportation management in the supply chain is the special focus of one module. The application of Machine Learning in modeling discrete choices in a supply chain is also highlighted in the ensuing modules. The course finishes with a brief account of the application of data science and AI in Supply Chain Management.

@Ankur Sahu , If you want to make a career in SCM it would make sense to arm your self with multitude of skills and Analytics (Data Science ) is one of them. As Data Science is Domain agnostic and sooner than later one reaches a plateau in their careers due to the limited skill set. and the only way to move forward in their chosen domain is to upskill, and use new learning to climb the corporate ladder.
