I literally just watched this movie last night, it's February 16, 2023. I haven't seen it in awhile and came across it on Prime, so now I'm here listening to this song since it's stuck in my head again like it was when this movie first came out! Such an underrated movie and song! Sad the City of Ashes movie never came about either! This could have been an amazing series of movies.
I’ve had clips from this movie popping up in my recommended all week. It’s such a deep well of disappointment that they didn’t continue the movies. The two main actors were perfect in their roles imo. I mentioned it to my husband one night and even he was like, lets hunt down the dvd and watch it again. It’s kind of weird to think about how long it’s been since the movie came out, and even if they did want to try and continue the movies it wouldn’t be with these actors. Such a shame. This song is fantastic, it’s been part of my music library for a long time. I’d honestly forgotten it was in this movie. It fits well

Lily and Jamie are honestly better actors for this story. They look more like Clary and Jace than Dom and I don't remember the girl in the show. Not especially physically but also mentally, Clary is innocent, lost and very young and Lily is perfect for her, as Jamie is for Jace. I don't know, Lily's expressions really remind me of the ginger in the books

One of the most disappointing things in the show was Jace’s portrayal. Rewatching Jamie Campbell Bower’s portrayal of Jace, made me remember what made me fall in love with him and “The Mortal Instruments” in the first place.

I not once played this song during my pregnancy. This is the only song that could calm her down instantly as a baby. She is 4 now and she calls it her song.

I know I'm kinda annoyed it's in the air because they originally were defiantly making both but the movie didn't do as well as it was predicted. Honestly it was a great movie but compared to the books I guess it was kinda bad because I think they could have have more clace scenes. But apparently the director said the first movie was made for a younger audience and that was there mistake because apparently an older audience was a better idea. So he said that for the second movie they would make it you know for an older audience whatever that means. I just hope they go ahead and make another movie 🎬
I can't believe they're making a TV show instead of City of Ashes. I mean, we've all seen the first, and know what happens, and with the show we have to sit through it again. In my opinion, I think the movies would be better. That way if they screw it up, it won't be an on going TV show that's just there to annoy you every time you see a commercial of it. I'll give the show a try, but I seriously doubt i'm going to enjoy it.
+brbkar I disagree because the cast said that the show is not going to be the same as the books...besides even thought I liked the movie it was terribly done, althought they had good actors,, they spoiled major plot stories from the following books but they didnt include some important parts from the first book... and they changed the ending to the first book so there was no way of following the story. I can't believe they're making a TV show instead of City of Ashes. I mean, we've all seen the first, and know what happens, and with the show we have to sit through it again. In my opinion, I think the movies would be better. That way if they screw it up, it won't be an on going TV show that's just there to annoy you every time you see a commercial of it.
I'll give the show a try, but I seriously doubt i'm going to enjoy it.

+brbkar I disagree because the cast said that the show is not going to be the same as the books...besides even thought I liked the movie it was terribly done, althought they had good actors,, they spoiled major plot stories from the following books but they didnt include some important parts from the first book... and they changed the ending to the first book so there was no way of following the story. Which is why I am happy they are making the show, but I guess thats just my opinion.

I really liked Jace and Clary in this movie, but everyone else was...really poorly cast and portrayed. For as much as those two were the focus, I liked the show better for the background attention they gave to other characters, even if they changed the story a lot.
Fantastic film and this song too! Loved the special effects reminded me of the Van Helsing film.

I agree. That's why I don't watch the series. Lilly Collins is perfect for Clary's role! Just like Jace is perfect. Really dislike the characters they chose in the series.

did think I would like the TV show but I love it. I like that it is different from the movie and books. it gives me some surprises and I like that because it would be boring it they keep it the same then I would know what would happen... And I love the guy who plays jace

I love love love this movie. the show is good but I think the movie is better , though they couldn't fit the whole book series in one movie but I feel as though the show is going too fast but the show is good but still prefer the movie. I dont know why most people didn't like the movie
