I lost my brother in a car accident yesterday morning and he loved playing guitar and suffered from a lot of demons on earth. This song randomly came across my Tik Tok today and brought me to the floor. I felt like he was using this song to speak to me. He passed before the sun rose... I’ll miss you forever brother.

My step-sister passed 2 years ago from a car accident. She also dealt with a lot of demons on earth, but that last year she was doing so much better. I know she’s dancing and spinning around up there 💜

I’ve lost a LOT of family, friends and pets in these last years. Since I’ve found this song, I visit it often when I think of them. Even though I listen and cry the entire time it’s tears knowing that they’re at peace now. Thankyou for such a beautiful song

As someone who has feared the death of their parents for years this song was literally just what I needed to remind me that when they do pass we'll be okay. So thank you for this song dude.

I’ve always had this fear growing up, more so as I got older. I just lost my dad last month and as soon as I heard this song it gave me a little bit hope for better days. It reminded me of the good times that I’ve had with my dad and my family being together and it brought me a small sense of peace. I know I’ll be happy again and I’ll be grateful for the future joyous days. We’re never ready for losing a parent, or anyone for that matter. But, it’ll all be okay.

I keep coming back to this video. I know death is a difficult thing to deal with, but I have always had a different opinion on death then other people. Depending on what you believe, it could be the end of pain, the start of eternal life, a end to something unbearable, a new start, a way to give back to earth. No matter what you believe, death can be something beautiful. A celebration of something new or the end of pain.
Everybody greaves in there own way and they have the right too, but I love thinking of something beautiful

My daughter Camille passed away from a drunk driver driving on the wrong side of the road without headlights. She was about to turn 21 and was getting married in August. She was so loved and lived her life like Jesus was coming at any moment...she told hwr friend about a month ago to play this at her funeral! We are dancing and shouting here on earth with her! Thank you for the song. #morelikemillie

My partner was diagnosed with AIDS when he was 24 and with that has been given a shortened life expectancy, we’ve listened to this song a number of times in joy and sadness and today, I belted it out and cried in my car sick to my stomach at the attachment that I know that this song will have on me for the rest of my life. Painfully beautiful and relevant.

I cry listening to this everyday. My father passed from cancer when I was very little, so hearing that one line broke me. I cried tears of joy and pure happiness. This song. This song describes my father who I loved in every way. No doubt that he isn’t looking over happily watching me cherish his time on earth.

My oldest son sent me this song last night. He said this is his favorite song, and he just loves it.
He battles with depression and addiction.😢 I've heard him playing it on his guitar. However, I didn't know it was this one until I listened.
I had instant love for this song..💜🌟🎶🌟
I wish you the best with this song!! It definitely is such an awesome one!!! 🙌 🏆 ✌️💜

It’s been a year since I lost my Grandpa. I found this song as a pure coincidence the day after he passed, while I was with my dad as he tried to help settle his affairs. It’s been such a genuine comfort, even if I get sad listening to it. Thank you for sharing this with the rest of us. ❤️

I just wanted to tell you this is my favorite song I’ve ever heard. I have come back to it atleast once a month for the last maybe two and a half, almost three years. But often much more. On rough weeks often playing it on repeat. I’ve never known a song as word for word and perfectly as I do this one. I have cried to it more times then I can count. Quoted it on Instagram posts, used it to sit in my numbness on hard days, and been in bliss to it on good days. This song means everything to me. I hope you go big and others can get the same feeling from your music it has given me.

Aww this song really reminds me of my grandpa that rolled around on the place he was gonna be buried (when he was still alive) to help us to laugh thinking of that instead of crying. I had sooo many dreams where he spoke to me. It's been almost 14 years without you, Grandpa Edward Joseph Neary. I remember you, love you, pray for you, and will carry on your memory. I wasn't old enough to ever write you a card or letter before you passed, but I'm writing this to you now. I hope you're proud of me and am watching me from heaven. Thank you for my memories with you and for being in my dreams. I love you, Christi baba

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! A thousand times thank you! You see, I’ve been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, and while I’m hopeful I’m also aware that there’s some preparation I want to do for when I’m gone. I’m not fearful, but I know it’s going to be so difficult for my family and friends. This song perfectly, so very perfectly, fits how I view my death, and you’ve given me a chance to leave this for them. It might be a year, it might be three, it could be ten- we never know, but I can leave this for them and I know they’ll see me in this song! Many blessings to you! ❤️🥰❤️

I lost my mother in march, and I had played her this song when she had came home on hospice, and she had asked me if this was a way of telling her it was okay, I had told her that I loved her and that she could get her wings soon and that i was excited for her. Later, I started helping with planning her funeral after she had passed that Monday; My cousin had sent me a text ' **** What song would you want to play at the funeral/celebration of life, i had made a playlist that I listen to for when i think about her, and the only song i thought of that I knew she would like, and that suited her even more, was Oak Trees. So this is my thank you, Daniel. Thank you, for creating this song, that helps me, a lot, with knowing it reminds me of my momma. Keep going, create more music.
And to those who have cancer, or know people who do, you/they will beat its a**, and just keep fighting, and if my mom could do it for 6 years, I just know, that you/they can fight even longer.

My husband died of Cancer last April- he made it just shy of a year from when they found the tumours.
Last weekend I was attending a Sound Healing group and the facilitator said to me she had a message for me. She said as she was driving to the session when a deep voice came into her head and said “Tell her I died too fast and I’m sorry, but I am not in pain”. During the session he said to her “Tell her I want her to keep dancing and I’ll be waiting for her under the Oak Tree”. I had no idea what the Oak Tree reference was and then someone sent me this song. Thank you for giving me hope.❤
