    ► LYRICS:
pushing and peeling myself out of my disguise
looking at you now i am wondering who am i
if i could try to take you back i couldn't define
    feeling
    absence of time
    knowing
    all is decided
    there's nothing
    here left to find
the story's all in my mind
    pushing and peeling the layers
    that cover my mind
    looking into the shadow
    now i notice the light
    magic is real
    when you see it inside
    you decide
it's like a snake shedding skin
    creating
life to begin and all you know has vanished again
    transcending
    virtue and sin
feast my eyes on lower things
while beauty is a symptom of life
gotta decide if i'm gonna see it
    why
feast our eyes on lower things
when suffering is craving the light
gotta decide how we’re gonna heal it
    why
feast my eyes on lower things
while beauty is a symptom of life
gotta decide if i'm gonna see it
    why
feast our eyes on lower things
when suffering is craving the light
gotta decide how we’re gonna heal it
    why
    yeah
gotta decide how we’re gonna feel it
i am trying to find out
    gotta know
    that life is fragile
    gotta know
    but
    gotta go
    i stood in awe
    inside a temple
    of a god i didn't know
    wanna go
    find the one
    who understands
why we wait for pain to change us
    to let me know
    that life is fragile
it's like a turtle in sand
    making
    way to the ocean
    almost
    meeting the end
    because the
    birds are in motion
feast my eyes on lower things
while beauty is a symptom of life
gotta decide if i'm gonna see it
    why
feast our eyes on lower things
when suffering is craving the light
gotta decide how we’re gonna heal it
    why
feast my eyes on lower things
while beauty is a symptom of life
gotta decide if i'm gonna see it
    why
feast our eyes on lower things when suffering is craving the light
gotta decide how we’re gonna heal it
    why
    yeah
gotta decide how we’re gonna feel it
i am trying to find out

how hard is it for her to be in a space to be a 'real artist' when she has multi-millionaire parents with connections? while everyone else has to slave away at a job or are forced to attend college in hopes of upward mobility, she gets to 'explore' herself musically without a care in the world. she speaks of 'existential concepts' without having never known what is was like to go hungry, worry about finances, or wonder how she's going to come up with $$ for studio time.

I agree with you 💯 % . Willow needs to grow and mature in vocal cords. You can't give her higher potential b/c of her parents. If she was an ordinary singer like so many others on VOICE and other non celebrity talent shows. So many singers sing nicely, but Willow voice needs stronger process in vocal cord range. She sounds like she is singing from the back of her throat. Her voice isn't fully developed. Yes, I watched VOICE, WHO HAS TALENT etc...
You actually have people who can sang, sing, plus song 🎵 🎶 another artist with perfectly arranging vocal cords hitting those notes that Willow can't do. You actually have singers who can sing w/o music background. Sorry Willow, but Nah.

    Feeling absence of time
    Knowing all is decided
There's nothing here left to find
The story's all in my mind
Pushing and peeling the layers that cover my mind

    Gotta know, but gotta go
I stood in awe inside a temple
Of a God I didn't know, wanna go
    Find the one who understands
Why we wait for pain to change us
To let me know what life is fragile
It's like a turtle in sand
    Making way to the ocean
    Almost meeting the end
Because the birds are in motion, oh

Willow has tremendous talent and depth of humanity. She could have taken the easy way out, riding on her rich and famous parent's coattails, but instead she insists on being relevant in her own right and bringing something unique and needed to the table. That's hard for anyone to do, but especially when you have so many ass-kissers and yes-people and energy vampires circling all the time... to still be able to make a little space and find and express your own magic is quite the feat. She has the soul of a philosopher, a spiritual seeker, someone who’s truly devoted to find meaning in this deep ocean we call life. Anyone else think about how crazy it is she started her career with “Whip My Hair” at 9 years old and is now creating this breathtaking jazz infused alt-pop? Not to say Whip My Hair isn’t a catchy and fun song but wow her sound has matured in such a unique way. Willow is a few months older than me and it almost feels like I grew up alongside her listening to her music. I truly think she’s one of the greatest musicians of our generation in the mainstream and I’ll definitely be looking out for this album 🙌

Yess, I love the fact that she is kind of going into the Jazzy directions with the new music, but still keeping the pop rock influences.
