The flyers in NHL24 are a very bad team. When is the next roster update cause it is 2 months overdue.
No clear-cut winner. It's both Ducks and Flyers winning this trade. Flyers get a Good Young defenseman in Drysdale while Gauthier is a Good piece for the future in Anaheim. and he's a Power Forward, like Longtime Duck Ryan Getzlaf. Won't be a surprise to me if Anaheim uses Gauthier at the Center position when the time comes.
I feel like in this era of Hockey you never see these trades. This felt like a trade i would make in NHL 24 which i think is cool. Love this trade for both teams. Win win to me.
This trade has to be one of the most recent mindblowing trades... I was stuck in shock factor for a few hours lol

I'm from Montreal and I'm a fan of the Canadiens. If the Bruin draft me I would still be happy to be drafted by an NHL team. Even if it's a rivalry, it's the NHL. I don't know the reason, but if it's because of the Pittsburgh Philadelphia rivalry, it's very immature on that part. I feel bad for the Flyers supporters. I love Drysdale, but Gauthier with Michkov would have been the fun.
The Lindros situation doesn’t apply because he was upfront with them about not wanting to play for the Nordiques. Cutter said he was so excited about being a Flyer then cried when they said he had to earn a spot on the big club as an 18-19 year old. Big leagued and ghosted the Flyers as a 5th overall pick. Getting bad advice from someone. Even if the Ducks end up being good, being good with the Flyers is more fun because more people care.
The important thing to note is that the Ducks didn't acquire Cutter.. they acquired his RIGHTS. If he decides he doesn't want to play in Anaheim, it'll be the same thing over again.
Just release him let him decide what team he wants to play for

I feel like Cutter would be like 13 or 17 or an off the wall number haha. Leo Carlsson is 91 , and Terry is 19.

Lindros told Quebec not to draft him, Gautier said he wanted to be a Flyer, much bigger difference

Yea, Drysdale's numbers may not look steller but...look at the team he's on. Ducks have been just terrible since 2018. He's gonna be getting lot of time on the PP cause....my Flyers need help on the PP. Was bummed and when I heard of the trade but...if he doesn't want to be there than.... don't want that cancer in the locker room.
Torts system and...the fact that the locker room is super tight right now...is the difference. Guys are buying into the system and working and fighting for each other. Makes a huge difference. Especially...when you can start having fun just going to the rink.
My boys still have a long way to go but.... definitely heading in the right direction. I think Danny B and Jonesy upstairs is making and going to make a huge impact. Both are legit hockey people, have played at elite levels and both absolutely LOVE the organization. And...we love them...lol. Good things!
My concern has been... Flyers start to make a bit of a run heading to the playoffs and they trade for an elite player to rent at the deadline....and an ego clash with Torts poisons the locker room. Feeling better now of that not happening since Danny and Jonesy saw the possible headache that some kid (who's name shall not even been spoken again...unless he's playing in Philly lol) could create unhappy and pissing and moaning. Torts and the suits are building a team of players that want to be there and want to succeed. Most of all ..bring back the damn Cup to Broad Street....damn it. Just knce before before I die please!!!! Not asking too much...is it? 😉

Apparently they tried trading Gauthier to Montreal at the 2023 draft for the 5th Overall. And with that Pick they wanted to get Reinbacher. But Montreal Declined.
My question is why is everyone so high on reinbacher

As a ducks fan I’m not too happy with this trade, figured JD would’ve be a corner stone piece for a long time. But only time will tell

I agree with the so called "12 yeear olds". Lindross coming over, and requesting to be traded to philly was a bad thing for us as he was always injured, and the trade looking back built the avs. I dont think a prospect should be able to request a trade, thats screwed. They should be obligated to sign with their team, or become an rfa if they cant agree on a contract.

I always thought whenever Mintyukov was drafted that the too d-pair would be Mintyukov Drysdale but now I guess Luneau is top d-pair guy now

I remember when the Flyers drafted Gauthier, the pick was viewed as a reach.
No it was not. He was ranked 3rd-6th in most every mock draft.
@@DeezNuuuhtz I saw him around 7th to 10th everywhere. Incidentally I am *NOT* arguing that the Flyers reached or made a bad pick. Hell, when they picked Forsberg, it was viewed as a shock.
