Hi! Love the level of detail this review! I’m curious if anyone had compared the sound signithre of this iBasso DX260 to the two Fiio players, M11 Plus and the M15S?
iBasso DX260 has similar tonality to M11 Plus, but with more technicalities and focus on providing as much details as possible. M15S is definitely more thick and warm sounding player.
Hi there! Thank you for the great review! I'm struggling to find screen protectors for the iBaso DX260. If possible can you please confirm if the screen size is the same as other iBasso players? Thank you!
DX260 is noticeably better in detail retrieval and imaging, and DX170 is a little more relaxed sounding by comparison. Technically DX260 is better, but I could see some people prefering the DX170 from a sound preference perspective.
Hi! Should I change the node x with fiio k9 pro ess to the ibasso dx260? It will sound way better with my empyreans or the fiio fh9 iems? I’m mostly streaming tidal and I’m not that interested in the portability side of it or uploading music files on it. Thank you!
What are the main differences between DX260 and DX320 in terms of sound quality? I watched the video but didn't get exact answer on the question. In overall, is there a big advantage of 320 over 260?
I have the DX320. Haven't heard the DX260. From the reviews, what I felt is this. If you value spending more on amp cards and getting warmer sound options like amp13 or amp14 then it might make sense. Otherwise the stock amp11 mk2s vs dx260 you might as well go for dx260. I personally use it with amp14. I am thinking of selling all amp cards and using dx260 with PB5
Regrettably I don't have an SE180 on hand, and have only heard it briefly with the SEM4. I think there are some similarities between SE180's stock card and the DX260, but the SE180 didn't have as strong imaging and was a little more grainy in the treble. The SEM4 improved on the stock card in a lot of ways, but I don't have enough experience with it to offer a comparison.
Thanks Steve! It’s nice to know that this is an improvement over the stock module of SE180. For now, I will hold on from pulling the trigger as I sill love the SEM4 module. 😊 thanks again!
DX320 Max has a fuller richer sound, and I prefer that purely for sound, but DX260 comes pretty close purely on the technical aspects of the sound, and can actually fit in your pocket, which DX320 Max can't :)
I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to audition this product and the Sony NW-WM1ZM2, I came to the conclusion that the WM1ZM2 is a far superior DAP by leaps and bounds 😎😁
Haven't compared those two directly, but the Sony's retail price is more than 3x the price of the DX260, so I would hope that there's SOME level of difference. :)
Been in this DAP b.s from 2015. after several iterations got sad really.. brought from the storage the oldy Goldy 80, gusse what - 80 sounds better. more "clean" , "wide" , "revealing". sometimes i think how ridiculous all this reviews sounds. if you not driving high ohm drivers on remote... go buy macbook.
Great review! Thanks for the comparisons and for showing the player with the back plate off. Keep up the good work. ❤
That user replaceable battery itself sold me out on this device. I’m getting one
Same here ! Was looking at Astell&Kern before this. Then I read about bloated batteries (and horrid cust service). I just ordered it tonight 🎉
How are you guys doing with your DAPs…satisfied?

Glass ones don’t exist. IBasso tried them but they interfered with the touch screen.
I suggest you look for something made specifically for you
Is there a noticeable improvement in sound quality over the DX170?

Thanks, nice interview.

Hello! Nice review! Will you review the Ibasso Dx180?
Yes - we're working on that one right now!

Nice review Steve! 😊 I was wondering how this one sounds as compared with the A&K SE180 SEM4. Thanks.

Between this and hiby r6 pro II which one is better overall? Thanks
Can you compare it with DC elite in sound quality?
Hi. Does it have any heating issues?
TIA
Does it support MQA? I couldn't find any info on the website. The DX170 does support 8x MQA.
I would be surprised if it didn't support MQA, but I'm unable to find any information one way or the other.
Better than FiiO M11Plus ESS?
X2
Hiby RS6 or DX260
Es muy superior al Fiio M11 Plus?
Me gusta la firna analítica
Definitely a lot better, more detailed sound, more compact, less weight. But a bit less battery life (30% less)
vs Fiio m23?
This one or dx320 max?
DX320 Max has a fuller richer sound, and I prefer that purely for sound, but DX260 comes pretty close purely on the technical aspects of the sound, and can actually fit in your pocket, which DX320 Max can't :)
@@BloomAudio oh i see .. and how about power support ? Do they give the same in case of hard drive headset ?
@@alimatook8962 There isn't a separate power supply, or any kind of "plugged in" mode for increased power like that.
@@BloomAudio so on power supply wise they are the same?
