Work to rule always cracks me up. They told me to skim over the “padded manuals” and to just follow my trainers instructions on the first day, bet there’s a good few steps i’ve never done once
It takes wisdom to know when and how to apply pressure for better wages and working conditions. Right now with a great depression looming we must make good decisions. We are now in a global economy and we are competing not just against local and national companies but international and supranational companies. If a business finds it too difficult to make a profit it may decide to shutdown or outsource labor to foreign counties. We also have to be aware that there is a difference between applying pressure for reasons of fairness and a desire to harm or even bankrupt a company/corporation. Workers and especially organized workers have power but power needs to be used responsibly. There is always a temptation to misuse power or misapplying power which can have disastrous consequences.
Yes sure so explain to me if all the jobs are gone overseas who will buy the junk from overseas??? The credit cards are already maxed out 😂 The problem is politics "neoliberalism" to be exact if we go back to the post war consensus things might stabilize a bit but until we have radical changes it's not going to ever get any better, remember capitalism runs on SALES and the credit bandage that has kept it afloat has run it's course!
@@northuniverse I had a brief, though kinda shitty, job. Then later became an anarchist. The IWW was mentioned and I liked what I saw. Now I'm doing organizer 101 training.
Please keep posting important history
Thanks, I'm glad my readings are being enjoyed.
