@@CamSiv996 He literally sees the deaths of every non-magical, non-ancient elf in the world as "unfortunate collateral damage" for his grand goal of Elven Supremacy. He doesn't see Qunari or humans or dwarves as "people," he sees them as "lesser creatures" at best. His "tolerance" is "tolerating" that they exist, which is NOT a positive.

I love how with the trespasser dlc you can really see the conflict going on in Solus’s head. Especially that first question, “has the mark changed you?” He’s desperately looking for any chance that the mark is what has made the inquisitor the way they are, that all the good in them, everything that Solus can’t help but admire and respect is simply a result of the mark, of their unique circumstances. Because if that’s not the case and this is how this person is normally, it means he has to start wondering if other people in this age are capable of being like this, if the potential for this kind of nobility is still inherent in all life in a world he intends to end. And if that is the case, that means he’s going to kill people like that when he removes the veil, innocent people who are worthy of respect and life. The fact it’s a Qunari (I really wish we had a word for non Qun practicing members of the Qunari species, because if I understand it the only word we have in universe that sort of fits is a term for all people outside the Qun) in this case, a race I feel above all he looks down on (more so than others), highlights it.

Whenever I play as a qunari mage, I play inquisition like I always do: being on everyone’s good side to certain degrees and gaining Solas’s respect. Helping people in the game whenever I can in and trying to do what’s right, even if it earns me some disapproval from some of my companions

+TazKidNoah19 He is not a God just a power and somewhat foolish Mage who constantly rebels against how things are in hopes for a better future but fails to fully realize that even if the next patch of grass is greener that the Grass he is standing on now with enough work could become just as green if not greener. And his selfishness and pride will cost him one way or the other, either he will lose friends or his old word, and it is likely the mages he banished have become more powerful and will kill him if they are freed.

Bob Thesexyfish Well his name is SOlas, ancient Elvhen for "Pride". And most people seemto be interpreting the DLC revelations as in "The world will be destroyed" but we don't know that. We don'tknow if the "Chaos" will be literal destruction or just the reaction of everyone to change.
Honestly the least worrysome part is said banished ones.

I love Solas so much and I love that you can prove him wrong. I love that he's surprised and has doubts now about what he has to do. And this isn't the only time you can prove him wrong if you bring him along to your party, there are several banters where he starts doubting himself and I think that is so great. Solas is a reflection of how you treat him, if you're open-minded and nice to him; he's nice to you. If you're an asshole to him then, he's a closed-minded asshole to you.

Tal Vashoth is for those who once follow the Qun or born in the Qun but leave it since they didn't like it
