    What a fantastic speech! So sad to hear of his aphasia and I hope he knows that he has touched so many lives with EVERY single role he’s done! A fantastic man and actor and human being! This really touched me so I had to share it!

    To everyone at AIS, I sometimes stutter, and watching Mr Willis do that speech, moved me. Hats off to you all, keep up the wonderful work you all are doing and for the people who stutter, keep your heads held high, never let anyone tell you your an outcast and we can together beat this. God bless you all from your Australian friend, John.

    Wow, I never knew this about Bruce Willis. This was an amazing story of overcoming obstacles. His speech touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes for multiple reasons. First reason, what a tremendous thing to deal with growing up and how success was achieved despite this setback. Second, how accomplished and wonderful of a person Bruce Willis is and how his latest health issue is so upsetting. It is another challenge he is dealing with but so many years later. I pray for Bruce and that he continues to fight, surrounded by the love of his family and support of his fans.

    for the record I don't stutter. That being said I have great respect for people who go through it. You know after watching this video of then vice president now president Biden (perfect example of what you can accomplish if you don't let stuttering define you) I've been getting all these other recommended videos about people like Bruce Willis and Samuel Jackson and finding out that they had stuttering problems and that they overcame and I'm like wow. I never knew those two stuttered. Much respect.

    Had a stutter as a kid. But my bigger problem was that I wan invert the order of words. I grew up in the 90s and my mom went on aol and look up famous stutterers and Bruce Willis showed up. Know John mcclane had a stutter helped a lot. It went away by rewatching Bruce Willis movies and memorizing the lines

    Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson both became such succesfull because of it. İt depends how do you see it ! İ mean they wore it as armour and exactly this made them strong and they believed to become better . İm a med student in the 6th year and i think my stutter helped a lot to do what i want. No matter what people think

      @@StutteringtreatmentOrg It sure is tough....I'm 43 and still have a mild stutter...some people don't even know and some people realize it....as a kid it was bad up to my late teens and slowly got better....don't know what happened....as I said I still have a mild stutter at times but got better over time and confident for the most part but still stutter here and there... My parents figured that because as a young kid I was fluently English speaking and french speaking may have caused issues but don't think that was it... Bruce Willis....Great actor and great speech dude !

      This was great, I been tryin to find out about "stuttering when talking" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Rincaas Stammify Blocker - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my brother in law got excellent success with it.

      @@jamieh2930 I speak English, Spanish and French. I stuttered a lot as a kid as I was raised speaking English and Spanish, it's gotten way better, but I still stutter today when I speak those 2 languages. But you know what? I learned French in high school and when I speak French, I don't stutter. I guess it's because of all the vowels and less use of consonants? Strange.

    Amazing. Truly amazing. Im 20y and have been struggling a lot while expressing what I want. Everything goes perfect on my head and I make a show about what I wanted to say, but as the moment comes up I can't express any of that as I thought and I get really frustrated, I feel really depressed sometimes about this and it feels like this can completely destroy my confidence at times... I can't even talk amongst my friends sometimes without having some type of fear, talking to anyone is always a big thing and when I leave the situation I always evaluate how the situation went to see how it went... Anyway, god bless everyone the suffers from this problem, and keep your head up, always try your hard to get better, even if if doesnt go as you wished. Bruce made me cry with this speech. Its really scary when you feel alone with this problem. Unfortunately I don't know anyone with the same problem as me neither anyone that ever discussed this with me or helped me with some words idk... sometimes I even feel I can't socialise at all really, bcs of this and a lot of thoughts that pop up from being silent and overthinking the situation and a lot of other things..
    Anyway, good luck everyone stay strong!

      Hi @Mad Buu, we're so glad you watched the video. If you're ever interested in meeting others who stutter, there are many opportunities in many countries to join support/social groups, and many online networks as well. All free! Here in the US, the NSA (westutter.org) and FRIENDS (friendswhostutter.org) both have online groups that meet periodically. StutterSocial is also an amazing and volunteer run on line meeting place for people who stutter to connect with others in the world who stutter as well.

    I stutter and I can recognize all the vocal sounds Bruce makes that relate to stuttering. Breathing our heavy, saying um, taking time between thoughts, trying to get it off your mind that you stutter....it's a very psychological thing. That's why his "characters" he plays don't stuttering. Because he has it in his mind that "they don't stutter". It's a pure psychological disorder

    • @delatroy
      @delatroy ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm the same. If I do an accent I don't stutter which is why I have a slight accent that doesn't belong to my area haha
      I recognize another stutter instantly even at the slightest cue.
      If you stutter bad, don't be too hard on yourself. I improved greatly with therapy and you can too 🙏

    • @Drew_The_Foo_209
      @Drew_The_Foo_209 ปีที่แล้ว

      @delatroy I don't stutter nearly as bad as I did when I was a kid. I have my smooth patches, but then I have weeks at a time where I have a hard time trying to say certain sounds. But at my age at 35, it's just a part of life to me and I keep improving, little by little but it continues to get better

    • @delatroy
      @delatroy ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Drew_The_Foo_209 yeah I have the same experience basically. Go through different patches based on where you're at with yourself I find but vast majority of the time.. doesn't even dawn on me whereas before, it was more often on my mind.
