Socal Rails Video Compilation: May - June 2012: Amtrak, Metrolink, and Coaster

For lack of a better name, this video has been given the above name. I have decided to release some of my boring old shots of trains (mainly passenger stuff since that is the majority of what I am able to see). These "Socal Rails Video Compilations" will be released once in a while, time and number of video clips available permitting. This one covers May thru June of 2012. I do realize that some of the shots are not the best (a couple of them were taken without the use of a tripod), but I just decided to include them for the heck of it. Shots in this video are pretty much limited to Surfliner, Metrolink, and Coaster commuter trains at various points on the Coast Line (north of LA) and the Surf Line (LA - San Diego). Great video and much appreciated. Reminds me of my first trip to Santa Barbara which, I was convinced, was taken backwards. It was only later that I found out that those trains could be controlled from either end and, in my case, the baggage/cab car. (I gather that locals call it the cabbage car!) Thanks for the memories - ah, happy days.

CoasterFan2105 wow 2307 sounds nothing like it does even with the choke nowdays Mike. Man, Coaster really is not as musical as it once was. Even Amtraks F59s sound horrendous now, except for 450. And now that Eds gone half the engineers on Coaster are pretty weak.

Probably. The reason that the first shot in the video shook like that was because I was set up on a mound of loose packed dirt.
