WOW, I have been looking for tutorials on how to shade and color with alcohol markers. Was not really finding anything that was very helpful. I am so glad that I found yours. I love that you do real time, I love that you stop to explain or draw an example of what your doing. I just got a set of Bianyo Markers (can't afford the Copics...yet) and can not wait to try using them with your techniques. Also, I loved the little girl and how she turned out. Adorable. Thank you so much for sharing.
The free marker class is amazing. Alyce is so awesome with any help. I can't wait to grow with her tutorials and classes. Thanks Alyce for all your amazing skills, sharing and caring.
I have learnt so much from this video, thank you so much for your detailed instructions and tips and techniques. So happy I found your video. Thank you lovely lady xxx

I'm new with copic coloring and I just found your page a few minutes ago and I hate that because you teach very well and I would have loved to have done this with you. I see your last post was 10 months ago. I hope you are going to be doing more soon. I would love to do another one like this. Thank you for sharing your talent.
This was your first video I have seen and I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed it! I learned so much and you’ve taken much of the fear out of getting started. I’m definitely going to signup for a class!
Michelle: I agree, this was my first video also, and I have learnt so much. Now to put in into practice and develop that light touch. Alyce, many thanks!😘👍🏾
Such a lovely tutorial. Repetition is the key to learning, I always say. smile Practice is so important isn't it? I love Copic colouring, thus appreciated the entire class. Learned so much. Very inspirational. Thank you for your time.
I have been looking at sooo many videos trying to find one that shows where to put a shadow, a highlight and everything in between. I understand so much now, I can’t believe it! Next is classes. I can’t wait!!! Thank you so much!
Your voice is so calming and even reassuring. I just ran into your channel when I was viewing some other art videos. I am looking forward to watching more of your content and learning a thing no or two about alchohol markers. I know least about that medium than any other one.
Oh, my I have a very long way to go. Your lesson is wonderful with so many tips and such detailed instructions. Your coloring is awesome and going over everything a second time made a big difference as you said. I learned a lot. Thank you.
My first time watching ur video and 2 minutes into watching you, the more i got interested. I love the way to do your video. Slow and clear! I checked ur site and interested to take your classes!

You are an excellent teacher I quickly went and applied some of your techniques to some flowers I have been trying to colour but have looked horrible but the ones that I have used your techniques on have improved dramatically, I’m not very good at using my copics but hopefully should start getting better now with your guidance on shadows and flicking, you have helped me greatly, thank you so much 💕new subscriber 🤗😊
Your comment really made my day! Thank you so much! It just takes a little practice and learning how to use your medium and those underlying art theories will really help :) As long as you keep challenging yourself, are brave to try new things and techniques, then you will always keep growing!
I'm so excited that I found your channel and your website and I'm excited to do all the classes I can starting with markers 101 which I'm watching right now
Amazing video, the best and most useful I have seen. I love the rules / guidelines and breaking things down into sections is so helpful. Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us.

Hello. I just found this cupcake girl class but I can't seem to find where to download the image to try colouring it. Thanks so much for all your wonderful images and tutorials. I am trying my best to improve.
My oh my this is stunning!!! Wow, simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing your talent with us in such a passionate way 🥰 I was wondering if other brands of alcohol marker could achieve a similar result? I tried blending the way you did but with Ohuhu alcohol markers, and it was a disaster... maybe I wasn't using the correct colors for blending... I don't know. Thank you again, honestly the beauty of your art made me emotional.
you can use any brand of alcohol marker :) just remember paper is very important for blending. You can find suggestions over on the website under the colouring faqs tab x
I just watched the video since I'm new to Copic coloring and don't have this image (plus don't have much time right now). I'm planning on taking your free 101 class as soon as I have some time, and then may want to take some of your other classes. I have some images I would like to color for my sponsor girls in Mexico. I don't have many colors, but I did get mostly the Earth colors. What colors would you recommend for the hair and skin (they have black hair and very light brown skin)? I have some of the warm greys, but not the cool greys.
Thank you so mush for this video.... I took art classes in high school (long time ago, he he) your instruction was wonderful and reinforced and reminded me of the things I had learned... I've recently started making greeting cards, wanting to color fun images... Thanks again :>)
Wooowww, This is an AMAZING coloring tutorial make by one of the most amazing talented girl, it's from beautiful Alyce and using La-La Land Crafts Stamp (love it). Thank you so much for your generosity and for your motivation. We all 😍 love it everything about your personality and talent. ❤️ hugs from a huge fan 😊
Alyce, this has been so informative. What a beautifully colored image... WoW!! TFS! 😘👍🏾✨ Is there a graph for Crayola 100 colored pencils color conversions??
Thank you for the lovely comment Gwen! at this stage I don't have a conversion for Crayola but if you'd like a copy of my prismacolor chart to compare to then please feel free to email me at alyce@kitandclowder.com
what a great you tuber you are, you have gained a subscriber, and probably soon, a class member( I have to get my space in order to get my laptop on my desk, do you cover tombows at all? I didn't see them on your site, I love them
Hi Lisa! thank you so much for your lovely message! I don't cover tombows as yet but I am working on a watercolour marker class hopefully coming soon :) Thank you!
I just love to see you color, i dont have so many copics often i dont know what colors to by and when i finaly do, i always by some wrong and living in Denmark that can be quite expensive, do you give advice for that too.... i have bought the 150 prisma color pencils, is the tecnic the same for them..... i would so much like to learn to color with the two, ;)
Hi Mette! If you would like to learn about how to pick colours, visit the website www.kitandclowder.com and try the free Markers 101 class. It explains how to pick colour blends and also has colour charts available. We also have some great pencils classes available :)
Hi Karen! If you'd like more information on how to create colour blends, just head to our website www.kitandclowder.com - click FAQS, then Colouring FAQs and you can find all the information on the Copic numbering system :) hope this helps!
the technique is exactly the same for markers and pencils but using your basic blending technique :) if you aren't sure how to blend with your pencils yet, I'd recommend checking out one of my pencils classes first :)
Thank you so much for this video have a few ? When you print out this image is it ok to use an ink jet printer or will the copics smear? I seem to always have a dark line which does not blend is it because I'm pressing to hard? And last I don't have the paper your using is there some other paper that would be ok to use , I do have the copic paper but it's so thin like computer paper Hope it was ok to post these ? And if you don't have time to answer no worries I really appreciate the time and work you put in these videos hugs
Hi Norine! I use an inkjet :) The Canon Pixma in any model seems to be compatible with markers. Some inkjets are not compatible though - I know HP in particular have some that are and some that aren't. If your ink is smearing, you can try heat setting it with a hairdryer or heat gun first, or printing in draft mode and see if this helps. If you have thin Copic Paper this is not the same thing. This paper is for rendering like architects/industrial designers use - a quick wash of colour. We need thicker cardstock to be able to hold the layers with this style of colouring. I use xpress - it blending card :) Hope this helps! x
I have no problem with my Epson printer Norine, and I've used the thin paper - it colours fine and you can always glue it to a piece of cardstock afterwards to make it stronger to use on a card.
